In the UK it's legal to posses steroids - heck, it's even legal to import 3 cycles worth from a country that sells them legally in a pharmacy and bring them back yourself. However selling is illegal (obviously) and so is importation via post.
Unfortunately a lot of countries have it worst off than this, where even usage/possession is criminalized. In the U.S for example, it's illegal to possess Testosterone-Enanthate, yet legal to posses and consume all the superdrol you want.
The way things are going with cannabis, it seems that complete decriminalization is on its way, and even a strong chance of legality around the world (Uruguay being the most recent country to make the drug legal).
But what hope is there for the future of Anabolic steroids? Through the eyes of the general public, it's associated with some of the most hardcore drugs out there. The amount of ignorance and misconception about anabolic steroids is mind blowing. Just walking through the town center the other day I saw a guy handing out leaflets on the dangers of steroids. Is there a correlation between public opinion of steroids and the continuous feminization of our society? Are steroids being demonized more than ever before? Is it likely that steroid laws are ever going to change? Or are we all fucked?

RustyhookerIf you look at your example of marijuana and how many years it was illegal. Think about how many facts have to be displayed before people will listen. News media is destroying roids and sports daily.
It's really all about who screams the loudest in front of our law-makers. And you know who those with the loudest mouths are? Those who are convinced that their loved ones have died as a result of AAS abuse. Do you think there is an AAS advocate on the planet who can convince a member of Congress that AAS usage is safe when there's a mother or father screaming that their precious little FoolMeOnce died from one AAS injection? Not a chance. And when our hypocritical sports media vilifies steroid use in professional sports like baseball, yet they love to see records broken, this just adds to the problem. Maybe if every law-maker in the country was made to watch Bigger Stronger Faster, we'd have a shot at repealing these draconian AAS laws.

Porky12Agreed. The sad thing is, people will call me a 'conspiracy theorist' or something a long those lines for believing this. Although the facts are that the average male testosterone level in the last century has decreased noticeably. Men are becoming more effiminate, the number of homosexuals is increasing and the whole 'transgender' movement is becoming more and more accepted. Notice how teens with 'gender identity' issues can get prescribed all the testosterone they want, yet a 20-something man with 250ng/dl levels of test can't get the same thing prescribed because he's within the 'normal range' and if he decides to self-medicate because he has the testosterone levels of an 80 year old man with type II diabetes, he's immediately criminalized and if caught can face 'jail4sterons'.
It's complete bullshit. Having said that, they way things are, at least being in the small group of people who are chemically enhancing themselves we find that life really isn't that competitive.
I'm prepared to live a life of crime if using hormones for cosmetic improvement makes me a criminal.
I believe, in my opinion, that this site has the opportunity to reshape laws, ideas, and opinions regarding AAS. And, it is only because we EROID members care enough to voice our true opinions, and stick up for what we believe, which makes a difference in the laws for the regulation of AAS.
The demonization of steroids in the US is mostly from news sources with special interests.. any journalist that took five minutes to research their topic wouldn't say half of the shit they do about steroids.. and again we're back to the retarded masses watching TV and believing everything that is on TV.. I don't really see it as society is becoming too feminine but more like society is just becoming dumber.

The US gov is just too large and has its claws in everything.. I can pretty much guarantee if the use of steroids were left to the FDA without congress poking and proding the situation we'd see a much different overall picture.

Porky12100% agreed. Not only this but it's crazy that substances like superdrol are legal when testosterone enanthate isn't, even though at a 500mg dose it's likely going to incredibly safe if you know what you're doing.

Porky12I think the problem is, people look at the effects of steroids on people who don't know what they're doing, don't take an AI and take bother with PCT. Then they project these effects on ALL steroid users and automatically believe that everyone on any kind of steroid is going to have a small penis, no hair, die at the age of 30 etc...
if laws are going to be changed, then its going to be to increase regulation/consequences... how sad...
And, I don't know for sure, but the Republican party may initiate this in some form. Mitt Romney brought it up during the presidential campaign.
