Swollen Ankles - Low Estradiol, but High Progesterone. Quick Fix?
ad
I’ve been super bloated with water retention this cycle for some reason. Feet and ankles holding lots of water. Face is bloated as well. Got bloodwork to confirm what’s going on.
Just running Test and Deca and Anastrozle for AI
My estradiol came back at 21 pg/mL, which is low-normal. This is strange because usually I get this bloated only when my estradiol is high, but it’s not high at all.
However - my Progesterone is high at 2.7 ng/mL. Normal Progesterone range is less than 1.4 ng/mL. So I’m about 2x the max range.
Prolactin is normal while on the Deca, it’s just my progesterone that’s high.
Could high progesterone cause bloating and water retention? Any OTC supplement fixes for high progesterone?

Deca is already a progestogenic compound itself. High endogenous progestin is likely not very impactful compared to the PR occupancy of Deca.
Compression socks. Means you're at that age now. You probably want to unseal your dose info to get more feedback. How much AI, how much test, how much deca? And how often and how long? May need to cut something down before throwing more stuff at it like pills.
500mg Test, 300mg Deca, .5mg Arimidex EOD. Injection M/Thur. Been on for 7 weeks now. Good idea on the compression socks.
gogo90809I've also experienced high progesterone and low estrogen levels, and I'm curious about the reasons behind it.
One theory seems to be that steroids inhibit the enzymes that metabolize hormones in the adrenal glands, suppressing cortisol production and ultimately leading to progesterone buildup.
Solid theory, first time it’s happened to me with my e2 being low and progesterone being high and I’ve been using gear for a decade
