-4 Stimulants and sleep aids

ad

I was curious what products available from vendors others liked for stimulants and sleep aids. I am not asking for sources, just products. I have tried modafinil for a stimulant, and I typically will use benadryl to help me sleep. I was curious if anybody had any other good suggestions for products I could try.

Better to choose something herb-based. These sleep aids are natural and not addictive.
It's better to choose something herb-based. These sleep aids are natural and not addictive. Also, you need to be careful with them. Any sleeping pills might be highly addictive, and you might end up unable to fall asleep without them. I suggest you search for additional ways of falling asleep quickly. For instance, I practice yoga. Some asanas help me to relax, and I sleep tight after that. Besides, I also bought a weighted blanket on https://sommio.co.uk/KnittedWeightedBlanket I heard some positive reviews about those blankets and decided to use them. I still have no idea how they work, but the one I've bought helps me to sleep better.

Trazadone is a good sleep aid. I use it for insomnia when needed, I prefer it over benadryl because it does not make me drowsy the following morning. It also helps me out with restless legs. Good luck.

Tradesman34's picture

Trazadone will help you fall asleep but I wouldn't recommend using it as it's a prescription drug and it can make you extremely drowsy the next morning

I am also a fan of beta alanine and DMAA (which is why it is in pre workout) if I don't want the full monte of modafinil.

I will also look into liquid magnesium and L-Theanine, I already have Lysine on hand. How do they compare to melatonin? I have never had good luck with it.

You may want to research the herb Ashwagandha. It can be used for both a sleep aid and stimulant depending upon the dosage. It is also well known for lowering high cortisol levels which can have a negative impact on your ability to get good quality sleep, among other things. I have been using it for 18 months now and it has helped me sleep better without next day grogginess, balanced my thyroid levels, and lowered excess cortisol levels. I was very skeptical until I tried it, but it works very well for me and that is proven by labwork. Each brand can give you different results so you may have to try a few. I listed a link to a recent story on it below. Good luck with you search.

Very interesting stuff. I checked it out at NCBI, as I generally regard Fox News as junk, and I was surprised at the amount of research showing the effects you talked as true. +1

Youz be asking a stupid fucking question. You wanna go up and down. Well for one get your ass a job. That's what some call getting up. Next do your fucking work to the most you have in your panties. And I will bet if you put a full day of work in you'll sleep like a baby. If not you need more titty milk and I hope it's tainted. Wake the fuck up.

You know nothing about me. Please do not be rude, or ignorant.

On cycle I use gaba 5htp and L-Theanine before bed sleep all night

grawrruff's picture

There has been more than one recommendation of L-Theanine. I am reading on it now. It sounds like the amino I have been looking for. This is a fantastic response pointing me in the exact direction I wanted to go. Thank you very much.

This is for jet lag. Thanks for the negs from people who just make assumptions.

DragonDog's picture

I recommend melatonin. It resets the circadian clock. I can get over jet lag in one or two days using it.

grawrruff's picture

I have tried melatonin, but I've had a hard time locking in sweet spot with dosage.

Try the somatamax it will put you straight into REM and you wont need the provigil/modinifil to wake up.

grawrruff's picture

I will look into that and give it a try. Sounds like a winner going right into the most restful sleep.

nice answer , i want to +1 you but , everytime i try to hit that little button i neg. .. ill hit you up on a post.

Looking for different types of "drugs" to wake up and sleep is a well worn path to abuse and a life of felling like crap. Drugs should always be used sparingly. We all have issues now and then with getting up and falling asleep. The minute you jump on the drug train, you become dependent on those drugs. Learn to tough most things out. Life is hard and sometimes we can't sleep and we're tired. That's life. Don't shrink from it. Embrace it. It will make you better. Things should return to normal. Been there and done that. Good luck.

grawrruff's picture

Just as halo isn't to be used regularly long term on cycle but has a place when a short burst of aggression and strength can be required, I have very specific uses for these as well and they are nice to have in a repertoire for instances there is no other replacement. There is a proper tool for every job, but to a hammer everything looks like a nail. I 100% agree that they should be used sparingly as well.

vhman's picture

I agree, but far too many people don't stop with occasional use. Where will you fit into this? I hope you know. Best of luck.

grawrruff's picture

Thank you very much. I don't drink, and I am not a user of recreational drugs. I am not looking for a buzz, simply to enhance performance. Nothing more, and nothing less.

grawrruff's picture

I don't eat sugary trash.

there is a new supplement out called Somatamax that may help you.It contains maca and L dopa and will induce sleep very quickly.I do not take it however a good friend does and it has helped him a lot.He has gotten much stronger and also leaned out since getting regular sleep.

kibby's picture

That's a vicious cycle to get involved in.....

Benadryl to get you to sleep....leaving you groggy the next morning which forces you to seek the "stimulant" for the day ahead.

Try to stop EVERYTHING if it takes you all night to actually get to sleep then so be it.your body will eventually fall into a normal pattern

Try to keep your water intake high this will help loads with fatigue

I do not bounce back and forth daily. You made an incorrect assumption here.

I have tried modafinil for a stimulant, and I typically will use benadryl to help me sleep. I was curious if anybody had any other good suggestions for products I could try.........really? Soooo you don't bounce back and forth daily but you "typically" use benadryl to help you sleep.

No assumption made at all I simply read your post you REDACTED!

And if you read what I wrote carefully you will see I wrote TRY to stop everything and TRY water to help with fatigue.
You asked for something else to try ;)

Don't post then get pissed off when you don't get the answer your looking for REDACTED

I apologise to the mod who had to change my post.

I will use benadryl when I land and it is night local time, yes. I don't like most prescription sleep aids as they are too potent, and leave me very fatigued and hung over. So whenever I need to acclimate myself to local time and it is pm, benadryl is what I will typically use.

Did it ever cross your mind when writing this post to simply explain what you needed these suggestions for rather than coming across as a drug addict?

I'm pretty sure that one person on eroids will be in this position or has been at some piont and could give you there experience 1st hand....

Why complicate things?

Did you ever consider just not being a jerk? I have been nothing but polite. You got very upset when I pointed out that you made an incorrect assumption and you flew off the handle for no good reason. Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% your reaction.

Greg's picture

I've edited and deleted enough of your posts as well to let you know you should just let it go.

Like I said I didn't assume anything I simply read your post and tried to help you.....you then reply with a cockey comment telling me I made an assumption.

All you had to do is explain it was for "jet lag" nothing more.but instead you act like a smart arse.

Good luck with your quest for drugs peace out

I eat healthy for energy and workout hard to sleep well. I already take risks using steroids. I don't need to create more for simple things.
