+ 4 source discussion page
I've been noticing a lot lately that people are throwing out crazy advice and cycle advice without any knowledge of the Op. Do we as a community need to make an effort in these pages to make sure we know stats before telling someone any advice. I constantly see hey how's the (fill in the blank) and how u guys run it or something very similar or even whole cycles. We make such an effort in the forums or the cycle log but the source discussion page is like the wild wild west. It just worries me cause there a lot of people that only post in there and ask all the questions they have there. Why is it because they rarely get asked for any info and that might get them exposed to been someone underage or a person that's only been working out for a month. I'm just curious if any other members of the community have experienced this or have any feedback

The SI pages are a place that I rarely go, mainly because of this reason. I only ever check a couple of SI pages and I rarely comment. Way too chaotic for me. Things can be calm one minute and then an idiot causes a problem and then all bets are off. Not sure what the answer is.
That being said, there are a few good advanced members who frequent those pages and do try to rein things in when they can. More of that may help.
+1
Dang, I only visit 1 SI page cause I buy from 1 lab. Pretty tame in there. Never have seen anyone ask for cycle advice.
You really need to get out more! ;-)
Lol leave gear head alone. Sounds like I need to hang out there to
I made a post about this also. I felt the same way, but there are to many sources. I've just stayed away. You find out real quick which sources are filled with fanboys. Fact of the matter is fanboys bring business and fanboys get "rewarded" for that, it's the nature of the beast. If you have a source or two you frequent then help all you can, but we can't play internet police all the time. The forums are the only place where things are in check. If you notice most of the guys on SI pages don't come into the forums.
Ya your prolly right. Just get frustrated with all the non sense. U get guys giving people blow cycle advice to someone and it could be a person that's posted ten comments in eriods and been a member a day. Sorry didn't know u posted this lol
No problem it always needs addressed. That's why I just hit the SI pages I need to and stay out of the rest, there's to much traffic there. There are some members that try and help, but it's tough to filter through all of the comments.
AnonI agree bro. Lots of dangerous stuff and IMO lots of nuggets get lost in those pages too. Stuff that could educate the site if the person would write a thread. It's kinda sad cuz I'm all about pushing this place further along and making everyone wiser. I used to get really upset. It is a shitty scenario cuz Srcs pay for their SI pages. I just send Vike or Nitti or any if the mods a PM and those dudes will set the member and the Src straight.
Let me get your take on this if a source pays rent for his page. Do u think he should be on charge of what people posting. Like I said it was clear the person wanting advice didn't need steroids been Six feet at 168 pounds with 15 percent body fat. Dude has only 143 }pounds of lean mass at six feet. Ran three cycles and wants to pin eq eod? I'm mean knowledge and stats don't line up for me something is clearly wrong. Which I point out only to have the source say u don't have enough knowledge to say he shouldn't run steroids let the other members alone give him help. Now I realize this is how he pays the bills. Oh well my rant over I try and stay away from those places now but find myself lately having to go there as I'm trying to find the last piece of my next cycle
AnonI saw the thread. I got two things for ya first the Src is ultimately responsible for the bullshit on their page. When I was a Mod this was the standard. If the subject matter is inherently unsafe or vindictive absolutely ultimately the Src is supposed to police their pages. Now whether this situation would justify an action from the mods IMO no it would not. Now my second part of this is very simple. You mentioned you were there for one reason and that's for product. Business. Don't ever let your emotions get involved in business. This is the dope game bro. Whether it's crack or coke or AAS. It's the dope game. This online forum netherworld is perfect for helping us fantasize that we are conducting legitimate business. Get in get out. Don't romanticize this place. Always come back to "It's the dope game". That's what the SI is. The marketplace. Money is the object not morals.
Your spot on never looked at it in that aspect. Thanks for a different perspective
Sad but true. Sometimes hard to accept for those of us who are hamstrung by our morals...
Ya I feel like u. It is hard to accept sometimes
I know you weren't asking me but I think that there should be no cycle advice in the si pages. Period. If they want to take behind closed doors in pm and are comfortable with this then that's on you but I think a src would feel better knowing that his page didn't get some kid fucked up. Plus the src has one thing that they are worried about and that is moving product. Have you ever heard a used car salesman tell someone that there car will last another year or two. Just my .02.
No brother that's what the point of these forums to discuss. I hold your opinions as high as anybody else. I remember when I first started and felt the same way as u.everyone has a voice here and thank u for posting
Thanks. Means a lot coming from you. I am getting a lot more comfortable posting on here. When I first joined there was a lot of shit going on here. So I have been very reluctant to put my .02 out there. Fearing the ass chewing I'd get. Not for having an opinion but for not having any experience to go with that opinion.
Everyone that comes here in the beginning feels just like u. I did the same thing I sit back and learned how the board work and helped when I could in the cycle logs.eriods needs different aspects the guys that get flamed are usually the ones that don't think bout anything and just spew craziness.karma doesn't mean anything here if u have a valid point express it. That's the way eriods becomes a better place not holding your tongue. I've seen members like u post very insightful post and I've seen Poeple with high karma says really dumb things
hit the nail on the head right there.
I agree. Why do you think that is? Not enough in it for them?
Benny BlancoI believe many times the member is afraid of being flamed. They like to squeak by on the SI to remain more low key. Many times, even if you suggest they post a forum, they just keep pressing for advice on the source page. ...not sure if this is what you were asking, that's how I read the question. And, with regard to "flaming" this goes back to the issue of how experienced members treat "newbs"
I can see new members that are hesitate to post, but the flaming doesn't happen unless the OP brings it on himself. I was referring more to the guys who have been here a while and have a lot to offer, but stay within the SI pages. I wrote a post "A Call to Arms" to try and get some of those guys in the forums, a few from the SI saw it, but not many.
Benny BlancoOh, I see what you mean. I disagree with your first sentence though, unless times have changed. I used to spend a lot more time in the forums. I spend less now, partly due to time believe it or not, partly due to the frustration I feel from seeing what goes on in the forums. And the mods are always hanging out there
Can't speak for what it was like prior to me joining. I assume you were a previous member? There can be frustration in dealing with certain people who don't want to listen. Some like the forums others do not. It's part of the MOD duties to be in the forums keeping things in check. Personally I'm glad they are. Guess you'll find out if times have changed.
Great point. It always bothers me when folks start crying about being flamed, because without fail, the OP was the genesis of the problem. I'm not advocating flaming, just saying don't cry about it if you were the cause.
Benny BlancoTimes must have changed then because back in my day, a newb posting a bit more of an advanced cycle than they're ready for, could get them flamed. Unless you're saying they should do more "research" and have their cycle perfected before they post, otherwise they bring it on themselves. But, like I say, maybe times have changed.
I think we have a disconnect on what flaming is. Letting someone know that they have posted an asinine cycle and trying to dissuade them from doing it is not my idea of flaming.
What I was referring to was people starting shit, calling others out, then crying about the drama that ensues.
Benny BlancoOkay. I was referring to the means by which the members try to inform the new guy. Different type of flaming. One member essentially saying 'your cycle sucks' then a gang of members dog-piling the guy. Usually done by less experienced members that don't belong in the forums giving cycle advice in the first place. Perhaps I'm just talking out of my ass and this doesn't occur with the same frequency anymore.
It definitely still happens, not that much though. Its when they post these crazy cycles asking for a critique and every time someone says something, hey shoot down the advice. So you wanted advice but you aren't gonna take any of it, your set with your cycle. And thats when people get pissed. And its gets tiring after a while. Its the same like 5 people in there helping out daily, with others stoping in from time to time. So I get pretty fucking sick of typing out a 5 minute response explaining to the 19 year old why running a cycle is a bad idea. I actually have my response saved on my computer now so i just change a few things like there age and weight and paste it in. So thats why people get short with newbs in there. If there was more then 5 of us in there and we didnt have to do everything then people wouldn't get pissed off all the time when some idiot comes in with a cycle that clearly reflects they did zero research. We could sit back and only help sometimes because theres so many people helping. But thats not the case.
Benny BlancoLol, that's actually hilarious and very smart to have you're response saved. It is quite cookie-cutter. I suppose the guys I'm referring to are much less common. The "wise beyond his years" 20 something, and the...say...35-40ish year old that hasn't run a cycle since before the internet existed. Back then everybody was running messed up cycles, but I've seen plenty of them get scared away by the response they receive here by posting their proposed cycle.
no this still goes on and the worst part is these same guys that shouldn't be giving advice in the first place +1 the hell out of each other for no good reason and now you got a bunch of "advanced" users that have run like 2 cycles that feel like they know everything and just regurgitate a bunch of shit they read online all day long.
Benny BlancoThat's exactly what I was referring to. Thanks
Do me a favour bro........... first time you ever see me regurgitate or parrot any info please call me out for public flogging lol.
Folks have choices............ those that want to hang out in the forums are welcome............ those that don't can go play in the fanboy cess pitts we call the SI threads.
See!!................ eroids facilitates everybody............. everybody is happy in their place :))
Benny BlancoI believe the SI's have their place, they can be a very valuable tool as well. I can't disagree though, the fanboyism is ridiculous, and absolutely worthless.
They can be amazing place and very helpful for everyone. But with the fanboys it's like the wild wild west sometimes. I guess it's the game we play and I'm just happy we have a place like eriods holy shit I started and I did some stupid stuff hell I didn't even have internet to research.
Benny BlancoYou just gotta know how to handle the fanboys. I just tell them "Hey, you know you don't get bonus points for pole riding." and then watch them all swarm like army ants.
Hopefully that public flogging don't count for everyone cause I've parroted your shakes prolly 50 times lmfao.
lol... i dont mind you doing that bro its a good thing that you do add the links................ the day i go real ballistic will be the day i see any of my stuff printed on a different board by some ass-wipe claiming he invented it.
Same here. The shakes is awesome, for me though I had to cut out the almond butter. But that shakes is my breakfast every day. Matter of fact just got a fresh delivery of steel cut oats.
Benny BlancoI think I need to quit being so stubborn and give those shakes a try. It sounds like I'm missing out.
I should clarify, I did change it a bit. Instead of grinding up the oats before I go to bed the night before I put about 1/2 cup of steel cut oats in a shaker cup, then add cinnamon , milk , BCAA's , two scoops vanilla protein and just a little bit of honey. Shake it up, throw it in the fridge and then in the morning eat it like cereal. The oats will be softened up after soaking in the milk overnight.
But this is more for the guys trying to lose or contain BF%, not all out mass
Really that sounds really good how the end of your cycle go?
It has been fantastic. I am a little bummed that it has to end but such is the rules we play by.
Sounds like the most successful cycle u ran so far
By a long shot.
Go for it bro.... some of the guys are gaining stupid weight from them, and a lot of folks are holding gains while on PCT............ so its a win/win thing really :))
Benny BlancoThe wife just got a ninja blender too. Time to put er to some good use
tried the tuna shakes yet? that one still scares the shit out of me.
I have not. But I am getting closer to sacking up on that one. Truth is I hate pepsi or most any pop. I wonder how it would be with root beer? lol
Benny BlancoX2!
obviously not you big dog, and there are guys like gearhead and catalyst that really know their shit. i was referring to the 20something crowd that just repeat the same things that they read somewhere over and over trying to rack up points like the forums are their personal video game.
i like to help out guys as much as i can but since ive only run like 5 cycles in my life and not many different compounds i just let the guys with more knowledge and experience do their thing.
