Post workout pain?

ad

I'm not talking about DOMS here but there are occassions where I feel like shit after an intense workout. Leg days always does it but other days it's random. I get an overall body ache feeling and feel drained.

While at first glance I'm thinking "I just kicked ass" but now I'm actually wondering if that is a bad thing. Am I perhaps over training? I'm fine usually the next day but certainly gassed that same day. Today is one of those days.

Anyone experience this?

As stated below there are several factors of what could be causing you to have this "body ache". Water intake? Diet? If you are bulking what kind of training are you doing? Very heavy strength and muscle building? Just muscle building? Do you feel like you are getting proper rest at night? Are you taking in BCAA's? Have you ever experienced this before? Does 600mg of ibuprofen relieve this pain after training?

I've experienced this before cutting or bulking and even before cycling. Just never paid much attention to it. I've been hitting it pretty hard going for failure so the drained feeling I expect just not sure about the general body aches. Doesn't slow me down. It's just noticeable.

Ibprofren takes care of it for a while.

I get proper rest.

My protien shakes have bcaas but I don't typically supplement Anything additional on top. Could it be glutamine. I haven't been taking that. No real reason I just ran out and never refilled my stock.

I'm going to up the water. Let me know if you think glutamine would be worthwhile also. I'd rather take that than ibprofren.

Three other things I didn't think to ask. What compounds are you taking for your bulk? Do you do any kind of stretching after your workout? When was the last time you took a break from lifting period?

Test/Eq 600 for each. Adex @. 25 eod

I do stretching after without exception. I have to because of my back issues. I also have a minor labrum tear so I keep my chest/arms well stretched. Actually thinking of starting yoga soon too. . I took almost 2 weeks off a couple months back when I threw my back out. For the past few months I was going lighter and higher reps.

i often feel this way after a particulary harsh routine. i think its a combination of things, nutritional deficiency pre-workout, lactic acid build up, possible dehydration.

Bulking or cutting? And as you posted below water... even my ass hurts if I'm dehydrated.

Bulk. I'm def going to pay more attention to the water intake and when I feel like this.

What's your nutrition like?

NoPain's picture

Mostly clean diet, although right now I'm not as strict ;). Optimen multi vitamins, turmeric, fish oil, liver support.

That was actually a great question because thinking back to yesterday I realized I haven't had much water. I wonder if there is a trend there.
