+ 1 Nizoral
I have been doing my research and I am going to start using a ketoconazole shampoo. My hair is just beginning to thin right now, which was accelerated after my recent use of proviron. I don't plan on going to any heroic lengths to save my hair, but it would be nice to keep what I have for as long as I can. I want to get a 2% shampoo, but a lot of what I'm coming across looks shady to say the least. Most of them come out of Thailand, so their packaging isn't necessarily up to western marketing standards. This is usually a red flag to me, but since this is technically a prescription product in the US I understand that I'll probably end up buying some third world product. I was wondering if someone could point in the right direction as to a good brand of 2% keto shampoo. I'm not sure if this counts as SRC talk or not, but any help would be appreciated.

There is a brand in India called Nizral made by Johnson & Johnson. It is a red liquid shampoo that is 2% keto.
I got my nizoral from thailand, works and smells just like script stuff I got from allstarhealth.
You're good to go buddy...
Or, the otc is good to just gotta use every day.
Get some toco 8, its very good for your hair/scalp
Get some topical spiro as well if you're worried.

Science doesn't really know why we lose our hair which is why we can't stop it obviously. Shampoo can help by keeping your scalp healthy, and maybe to a small degree remove some topical problems, but DHT is inside of you 24/7 - which is why the finasterides, and dutasterides work much better because they bind up the DHT in effect not allowing it to end up wherever it theoretically ends up. Hence the term "dht blocker" the problem is that as a man...especially an athletic man WE NEED DHT to perform well. My hair seems to get thicker when I'm running gear and I have no explanation for that. Another whole subject is where the hair loss is happening? Rogaine only claims that it stops hair loss on the top(crown)of the scalp - so if you are "widow peaking" then it's not even supposed to be effective. It goes on and on. Genetics are a bitch.
Brother you're depressing me lol. I am widows peaking. I have also read that rogaine users may experience a shed, and I'm not looking to lose more at first. I know when I'm on test only my body hair thickens greatly, just not on my head. The only time I notice accelerated loss is when I through in a dht derivative, proviron being the worst. I am on your side as far as fin and dutasteride go. The sides from those have me running the other way.
Just remember that something like 50% of men will lose a significant amount of hair by the time they reach their 40's and something like 80-90% of us will be pretty much smoked by the time we hit our 60's....something I've learned is that women ultimately don't give a shit about hair....it's all about presence, charm, humor, intelligence, etc..etc....I'm in my 40's with a pretty good amount of hair and I don't recall ever being complimented on it - which I take as a compliment I guess! Ha! Women FUCKING LOVE Jean Luc Picard....They love the ROCK...Bruce Willis etc..etc......and they don't even know these people. If you don't give a shit about what women think, and you just like your hair....you might have to sit back and re-evaluate because if you are genetically prone, you may be able to slow it down a bit, but it's going sooner than later probably. As much hair as I have it aint nearly as thick as it was when i was in my 20's, and in another 10 years I'm sure I'll be smoked. As far as products go I think Neutrogena t-gel is one of the best and no one ever mentions that stuff. Nioxin is really good for your hair also. Aveda too.
I used that Regenepure DR and NT it is expensive but I think it helps. Also HGH seems to really thicken my hair off cycle.
Thanks for the experience, I'll check those out. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up some GH here in about a month. I've been holding off until I can get at least a six month supply for me and my gf.
Right on RTK. The chick that cuts my hair was really shocked last summer at how much my hair was re-growing. At that time I was only on GH. This cycle I have been on 1-test, testE and proviron along with GH. Hair loss has been minimal. The only way I know some is falling out is after I get out of a tub, otherwise it is unnoticeable.
People are going to argue with me on this - but the reality is that nothing really works. You can get finasteride, dutasteride or the combo from many chem research companies stateside for good prices, but there are serious tradeoffs with that crap. Some people have had their lives ruined by it. It's not the best thing for an athlete. Nizoral is just good shampoo(I use it) but there is nothing scientifically that proves it stops hair loss. Hair loss is a genetic state that comes about from your bodies reaction to dht (among other things) - now think about that - You basically have to halt the binding of DHT to stop hair loss, and bad things happen to men when they try and do that.

I hear you bro on the fin and really any other drug like that. My understanding was that a keto shampoo blocked androgens (specifically dht from depositing at your scalp). I hadn't heard it phrased like you said with needing to block dht from binding completely. Could you expand on that statement?
It doesn't block androgens - it does possibly help clean androgens off of your scalp, but you're body is producing oil, and other things 24/7 - so just because you clean your scalp, doesn't mean that an hour from then you haven 't already accumulated more androgens on your scalp. Shampoos succeed in making your hair healthy but there is no scientific evidence that they work in any real affective way.
I just started rogaine and finasteride. I want to stop this hair loss ASAP. I'm going to look into this stuff as well
Fin scares me, but from what I've read most people say that rogaine needs a keto shampoo to work effectively. Good luck bro, I'm not a vain man in anyway but apparently my hair is my Achilles heel!
NotNatural23Also use head and shoulders between nizoral shampooing it somehow helps work with it to keep it growing better.
Thanks bro, I've heard a few people say this.
NotNatural23Just ask your doctor for some I told him I was losing my hair and a friend had good results using it and I picked it up that day. U dont use it everyday either twice a week cause it is some strong stuff. A friend used that and avodart and his hair got thick but once u quit them ur hair will start falling out like before. If ur gonna use aas fuck it n just shave it cause it goes faster then every before if u r genetically prone to going bald.
Thankfully I'm not genetically prone, it's definitely a product of my dht based AAS use. Thanks for the heads up on when you stop using it.
My doctor wrote me a script for Ketaconazole 2% Shampoo (Nizoral 2%) after I went in and complained about scalp acne (from my steroid use lol). I got like 11 refills and it's free for me. Perscription brand is called Perigo, and it's legit. Keeps the DHEA acne away, and my hair thick.
Try talking to your doctor, nothing like the real stuff.
I knew keto shampoo worked as an antifungal, and for hair loss, but it seems like there are a ton of uses for it. I will ask the dermatologist for script next time I'm in. Thanks.
Wardi77I got some Ketoconazole cream and shampoo from my dermatologist. I had these white spots on my skin, she referred to them as "sweat spots" (Tinea Versicolor) and the shampoo and cream combo knocked the spots out within weeks.
Thanks for the tip bro, I have a mole that needs checked out anyway. I'll remember this when I go.
Also, get some regaine. Really helped my hair!
Thanks for your experience bro, it gives something new to look into.
Bro cvs or walgreens carries it I just bought some couple weeks ago nizoral shampoo
GearofWarWhen the hell did Nizoral come back on the market? They were dead and gone a while now..? Hmmm..Anyways, I just went to my GP to get some because I wanted to try it for acne control at the suggestion of a bunch of other board members. Didn't work for me there but I just told my doc I had bad dandruff and wanted to try a Ketoconazole shampoo to combat it. She didn't think twice about it. That's probably a cheaper, easier, safer bet than a dermatologist too. See your GP.
Is that 2% or 1%? Everything I've seen in my are over the counter was only 1%.
Think its 1% so yah I hear.. but its called nizoral ad
Also I would use it eod cuz it can dry out ur scalp I use nutri ox shampoo and conditioner also
