+ 1 My cycle hair loss prevention protocol idea
I thought it might be a good idea to post my experience with using anabolics and hair loss. I am mpb prone myself and it seems like I have read a lot of posts from guys wanting to know hair friendly cycles. I personally am not worried about it and keep my hair cut short, but I understand wanting to look your best considering all hard work we put in the gym.
For a little background, I noticed the most hair loss I experienced has actually been during periods of high stress, not aas use. I started trt almost a year ago and thought it would be a good idea to research minimizing my hair loss since it is a common side effect. I found nizoral shampoo and started using it about 7 months ago. Since then I have noticed very little if any shedding. I use the over the counter 1% EOD and I have been very happy with the results. So I would suggest the same to guys on trt and you can just use your regular shampoo and conditioner in between. As for guys that are cycling this was my idea. I would start using nizoral with your ancillaries two weeks before you start your cycle EOD and do that until a couple weeks after your pct is complete. Hopefully at that point your hormones will be back to normal. You will most likely only need 2 maybe 3 7oz bottles for a 12 week cycle. Each bottle will only run about $15. Also, during this period I have blasted and used a dht based anabolic with no changes in hair loss. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Let me know your thoughts and hope we can help some guys out.

I've been using this for a while now and I can see the difference already! It's also supposed to help clear up acne and tbh I think that's what has helped me with mine.

Idk if im prone to hairloss, ive never lost any to my knowledge ( knock on wood lol) but I was scared shitless when i first started using so I went out and got some nizoral shampoo and ive been using it probably 3 times a week for years now. On or off cycle its just part of my regime. Ya the stuffs pricey but a bottle will last me probably 2+ months easy. I leave it in as long as possible, by the time i go to wash it out its like the majority of it has absorbed into my scalp. Before I ever used gear when id get a hair cut i started to be able to see my scalp through the top of my head, i do keep it short though like a 4 so i probably freaked out for nothing, but it scared me and made me think i was thinning. Since using this stuff for the last few years my hair has really thickened up a ton on top. So idk id say it works.
I think you are right about it being good on or off cycle. My personal opinion is stress is the biggest cause for hair loss. It causes so many different responses from the body. Hair loss, lack of sleep and appetite, weight loss or gain depending on the person, and many other personal issues. Nizoral won't make stress go away but at least you will keep your hair.
Laser comb and 2% nizoral 3x a week. I'm surprised hardly anyone else on here has tried using a laser comb. Shit works great and less potential side effects than something like propecia.
I tried the laser combs when they first came out. They were pointless then. I had to hold it over my head for 20-30 minutes moving it every 30 seconds or so. I found it the other day when I was cleaning my closet out. That thing was an arm workout lol. I am sure they are much better now.
Oh shit lol, yeah they're much improved now. Can pretty much cover your entire scalp without even moving it around if you buy one with a lot of lasers.

From experience and a healthy amount of bro-science, I think the keys to baldness really are genetic and have little to no contribution from "mild" AAS use. I'm sure the shampoo couldn't hurt and I have several friends that have experienced significant results from Propecia. Propecia does come with side effects although they might be mitigated somewhat by the additional hormones in your system.
Do note that I put "mild" use which is completely subjective and relative. In my opinion less than a gram of combined gear per week, probably less than 750mg could be considered mild. Just my .02
Thanks for the 2 cents buddy! I agree genetics is the main culprit but I have heard guys taking winny, mast, and tren start losing hair without being prone. Maybe adding this shampoo will help with that during their cycle. That was my thought and hope for everyone.
Have you cycled while you were using this shampoo or just your TRT dose?
It's interesting Nizoral has that effect for you. As an antifungal agent with ketoconazole in it I would actually think it could would do the opposite. Hair loss is a risk (albeit a low one) when you take the drug orally. At higher doses there's definitely an effect on cholesterol synthesis and the production of cortisol but I'm not sure about the conversion of test to dht or any of the other mechanisms later in the chain that can lead to balding.
I couldn't tell you it's a good idea. Probably wouldn't hurt, but not sure if it will actually be effective. Interesting to hear other people's thoughts/experiences who have done this if there are any.
I did cycle while doing this and noticed the same result. I am not saying this will stop hair loss completely while using aas but might be a good addition to the arsenal of ancillary items used during ones cycle. I am by no means an expert on the science end of things. I just thought this might help others minimize hair loss while using aas if they are prone or worried about it. It doesn't help with growing dormant folicles but it has helped me maintain what I have. I have only blasted test and used proviron during this time so I can't say the same dosing would be as effective for stronger compounds and amounts. It won't hurt to use the shampoo more than eod either.
Supposedly, Nizoral blocks androgen receptors in the hair follicle cells, preventing dht from binding. I believe finastride washes away dht.
I had a scrip for 2% for yrs. I no longer have one, but thank the lord for foreign countries. 1% does absolutely nothing for me. My hair will start to fall out by the fistfull by wk 4 if I don't use it. Takes a couple of wks but the hair loss stops. I am not prone to hairloss ( beyond normal loss). I also use the lather from my hair to wash my back. I will only get one or two acne spots if I do this. If not, it gets all over. I am not prone to acne normaly.

I have used the 2% as well and it works well too. I think it depends on the person but having access to the 1% and 2% is nice and gives each guy the ability to find what amount and frequency of use will work for them. I am glad the 2% is working for you buddy!
I have one of my guys pick me up some when he goes to mex to visit his mother. I have him clean out the pharmacy. They give them to him for $5 a pc when he takes everything they have. Beats $18 for the 1% at walmart. Walgreens is usually $2 more.
I've also read where they use oral nizoral to treat prostate cancer because it blocks androgens internally. I'm not sure what the user or success rate is.
