+ 10 More and more gear right? WRONG!

ad

Not sure if anyone on eroids isn't getting the subtle hints from V and Hollywood that are flying around at the moment? I don't believe for one second they're just aimed at new the new members or the young. I'm either short fused at the moment or a big percentage of our community seem to think they have to run 5+ compounds to make any gains. Hate to be so blunt, but you've largely got it wrong guys. I can see guys 70 80lbs lighter than me that are running cycles I'd be afraid of.

Before I go on, just go take a look at the cycle logs pages........

http://www.eroids.com/cycle_logs

I'm not singling anyone out here, but there's so much bullshit in here it's unbelievable. 2g of gear, 1.5g of gear, 2.5g of gear per week for people with limited cycling experience. You boys all REALLY think you need all that? You REALLY think you aren't just wasting copious amounts of it? You're also wasting money, making recovery way harder and increasing your side effects whilst on cycle. With come compounds, you're also putting yourself more in danger of mood swings / irritability etc, making working life / friendships / relationships more taxing than they should be.

For half the cycles I read, I believe the following would yield better gains. Take you gear budget that you were going to spend. Then limit yourself to half of it. Spend the remainder on food to stick in the freezer. I'm being deadly serious. No need to thank me. As an added bonus you'll probably keep more of your gains as a result of better nutrition.

Let me give you an example. This is all I'm running at the moment:

700mg/wk EQ
400mg/wk Test
300mg/wk Mast

I had a low dose of Tren in for 8 weeks, now done with. This is after 10+ years of cycling. I'm shovelling food down my neck like it's going out of fashion, and it's probably put me in the best shape I've been in since my late twenties. So much so I'm getting back on stage this year. Start of cycle I was 255lbs at around 12.5%, a little sloppy. Currently 263lbs at just under 10%. If I can make gains llike that off a simple cycle, so can you IF you get all the other key components right.

Rethink your cycles guys 200 pounds / dollars saved on cycle buys a lot of meat / rice etc. All the AAS should be is the icing on the cake, not the be all and end off of the cycle. Need help with food, drop me a line, I'll always help. Just think twice about what you're proposing.

Stellar post brother! I am in wholehearted agreement with you! Fear and respect for these compound should always be of paramount importance! Small doses can lead to amazing progress if diet and training are prioritized!
I've completed three cycles and have yet to reach 500mg. Of Test weekly! Their is no need! You nailed it above - lower doses equates into great gains, less sides, quicker recovery, better physical and emotional health and enjoyable cycles!
+1 for caring for all members in our community!

Drop me a pm and we'll talk about it BigB.

Here is another way I look at it; I look in my freezer and my cupboards for food. If I have 200 for gear OR 200 for food I take food. I don't give a shit no way around it. At the end of the day the gear is only the helper and the food is the main component in any cycle or off cycle. If I can't afford food I can't afford gear.

When one's gear budget starts looking like the food budget, that's a sign of an impending problem. On the flip side, it's, for me anyways after 15 years also about experimentation. New chemicals constantly appear on the horizon and I sometimes just want to try them. Many of my buds are new pros and we talk about this very topic now and again especially around the big shows. When I tell the young men in the gym how little gear we run, they refuse to accept it. I think, also, it would be disingenuous to ignore the fact that after decades of use, the body does begin to build a tolerance to certain compounds. So there is always a choice - get more reckless with the old drug, or try something new. I always rotate compounds as well during any given year in the same vain. Excellent post.

TheFlash85's picture

agreed, and also, there are people like me who still run massive cycles, but still have there food, diet and nutrition on point and did before we started juice. food is key.

Dickkhead's picture

I don't want to pretend to be a goody two-shoes with such incredible wisdom and vision and intelligence that I am above running massive cycles. If I even posted one of them, that would be the last thing I ever posted on this website. It took years of prep coaches, better and better ones to realize my body wasn't even responding to these massive gear loads and to crank it all the way back to what SDM is saying. I hope (and I truly expect) that you will reach a point that looking back on a modest cycle you got everything out of it u wanted - stunning results - with out just so much crap running through your system it's amazing some of us could even make it to the gym. smh.

lol gear head I sent you a pm

Great post and great advice. I think that all of us are accustomed to looking for the easy way to do things in our modern society. Anything that is good and worthwhile takes time and lots of hard work. AAS are only aids and part of the picture, not the main player. I know it's hard for those who are young to realize that you actually do get old and what you do to yourself when you're young affects you when you are older. I hope that some folks can take this advice and not have to learn the hard lessons for themselves.

Dzeaz's picture

A lot of it has to do with genetics. For example i haven't cycled yet and am about to but with proper diet and nutrition and training my ass off I went from 160 to 226 pounds in a year and three months

IrishMack's picture

genetics has some to do with it, not all. If someone has better genetics than you; all it means is you will have to work a little harder then that person does. Which is not a big deal.

I don't think that's what this thread is intended for. Maybe post that in the cycles forum, or Anabolic steroids forum. Better make sure you post those stats also.

Catalyst's picture

Unless I'm misjudging you, it looks like you can take it on the chin in terms of critique? If so, read on....

Definitely what you post up alarms me on a regular basis. From what I've read you've had a few health issues too, so you're in a more precarious position than most. I'm going to be 100% straight with you as we are grown men, you run too much gear for what you achieve. I don't want to offend you, but you're getting it wrong IMO.

If you want help, I'll help you, drop me a line any time. If I've pissed you off, not my intention but I'm not going to ego massage like some do with you. Not my style and I don't think that's what you want either.

PIN_CUSHION's picture

If it's posted you'll get feedback, but lets not clog this thread up with it.

I just want to let you know that your words do not fall on deaf ears. I read the forums and don't see the audience they are intended for commenting. I at least hope they are reading them. I know I have re-evaluated my approach, I'm grateful for you guys dropping loads of knowledge here. I think guys just don't like hearing "go back to the basics" I'll admit, I probably started to young, but the people I was around made it sound cool as opposed to "teaching" me. Thanks again.

Many of us made mistakes, I know I did. What I didn't cycle until 26, I ran some stupid combinations. The beauty of that is that others can learn to avoid the mistakes that I and many others have made if they soak up the advice and realise it's to help not to chastise.

Listen to him guys! this guy i can personally verify is a fkn beast and is preparing to scare the shit out of our upcoming regional championships on his comp comeback.... i will be standing by his side every single step of the way and i can assure you there are zero massive scare the cat shit-less stacks going to be used at any stage.... proper use and balancing the synergy between specific compounds will be the order of the day!.. coupled with extreme nutritional tactics to make our man like cut glass and destroy the competition... im getting pumped here just thinking about lol... i best go lie down before a burst a fkn blood vessel!.. typing and flexing at the same time are highly advanced moves and not recommended for the old and frail (like me) lmao!......................................... GREAT POST FOLKS NEED TO READ AND DIGEST!........... +3

Thanks mate.

Can't put into words just how grateful I am to have you in my corner for this year. Much appreciated.

Very well said! My cycles are always low dosed and with no more than 3 compounds as a max. I believe this is why I do not suffer big changes when I switch back to my TRT dosage. I always will cycle with my internal health as the baseline foundation with strength, endurance and size as the secondary perks. I am not saying that because of this I can't dropped dead tomorrow or have all of these heinous side effects that many get from aas usage. But it isn't going to be because of my stupidity of greed for size and strength that causes it.

Your post brother is validated by the multiple posts here regarding the emotional and physical issues so many people have. +2

Thanks Pank.

Interestingly enough met a guy this morning from your line of work. Ex navy seal, now works for a mate of mine who runs a private security firm. (group of ex commandos). Not a big guy, but he was pushing done serious weight around for his size. Nice lad, just moved over here. Must be our great weather Smile

Darktide's picture

Yes a lot of brothers are migrating over there, the cash makes the sun shine anywhere :). Well at least if he is looking for aas knowledge I know he is in great hands. All my buddies here have made Deca and NPP their best friend. Not for size but for those over used joints.

Just saw where you are making your comeback on the stage. I know you make your own luck so I won't even insult you with saying it. I am looking forward to watching you represent intelligence and muscle is the perfect representation our thing here brother and you epitomize that!

It's taken 9 years since I last competed and win a couple of shows. I had a nasty motorbike accident when I was 30, told I'd never lift again. I sulked for a year or so then scraped myself up of the floor and started light training again. Fast forward to 2014 and I'm just about back where I was told I would never be. I've always been pig headed and stubborn ;)

Gymjunkie01's picture

I think the most I have ran at one time is 3 compounds at a time.. test/ decca/ with a oral kicker.

my current cycle
800 mg test E a week
550 mg nandralone deccanate
ran dbol @75 mg a week for first 4 weeks

more is not better, your body can only process so much. at a time most likely your just pissing the rest down the toilet..

great post bro.+1

Great info mate, personal experience right there!

Very well put SDM and great to see you actually demonstrating this through your own efforts and the ensuing results.

Never been one to preach what I don't practice. I'd always rather use less gear.
