Low Iron Ferratin
ad
So got bloodwork back. Everything was perfect. Kidneys Liver Chol etc all nailed it. However Red Blood Cells were elevated. Then MCH and MCV were low. Which points towards Iron. So then the Iron and Ferratin came back and sure enough both are low and ferratin very low 16ug/ml. I should prob be around 50-80 really at the low end. Pics Attached.
So this might explain why I have zero energy. Out of breath after fucking hard and hair has really thinned out.
My question is will 65mg of Iron a day be enough to raise it significantly?

So my wife takes low dose Test. Over the past couple months I joke with her that I like watching her give herself a shot. M ainly cause I go to see her naked ass. She would say its cause there is a little drop of blood that would sometimes come out and I was getting a new fetish for blood. Now maybe im just a vampire craving iron.
What’s your blood donation schedule like?
It was pretty regular. Every 2-3 months however this past time I skipped it cause I was doing basically a nice 4 month clense. But Im sure that is def part of it. Typically I would give blood start of a cycle and end of a cycle. However never realized my iron was that low.
rhino82Bro I can relate my iron saturation was only 4 and I had to start getting iron infusions
Friend of my wifes has to do that as well. Can you teel/feel a noticeable difference after your iron is raised?
65mg will raise be enough. It will also constipate the hell out of you and you could overshoot. The Red Cross recommends that frequent blood donors take a daily iron supplement of 18 to 38 mg of elemental iron for about 60 days following a donation to replenish lost iron stores.
When I was in a similar state, I took 38mg EOD for 60 days and retested in range. I was not quite as low as you, though. I was 32 Ferritin. Also, Take with Vitamin C to help absorption.
This is ball park figures I was looking for. Thanks. I planned on taking 65mg and retesting in 2 months before my next cycle to see where I was. Seems like for athletes 60-80+ is a good spot based on science. Real life scenario I dunno. Looks like I will be adding Ferritin/Iron to my testing on the regular now. Especially if I am giving blood more regularly.
Were you able to fix your ferritin? I followed the Vorck method and got mine back up to 62, but a week later I was low-20s again. Now I'm at 17, lol
Taking iron twice a day 130mg got it in range.. I can't remember the exact number but its middle of the lower side. However my iron is at peak levels. Hair feels better. I do feel better. Is it the iron... I dunno. I know my poop is now like nearly black sometimes lol
