Lengthening muscles
ad
Just curious how many others seem to have compact muscle groups as opposed to lengthy. My bi's look like softball implants (LOL) and when flexed I have a reservoir between my bi and forearm. Any suggestions on specific excercises or routines to lengthen particular muscles or maybe its just a genetic thing? So far all I've been able to find is swimming (not a big fan)

AnonI don't think its possible to alter your predisposed muscle "length" in this case. We can force our bodies and cells to grow in size.. but the way they are arranged Is a different story. Would be cool to see you on HGH with weight baring exercises to try to lengthen the muscle per se. Not sure if it would even work at that rate though
Finish off bi's with a load of hammer curls. If that doesn't work it's probably genetic.
Lucky you, you have a peak bi just like the great aaaanoooold.....
I personally believe it is mainly genetic. It has more to do with where the muscle inserts into the bone that determines whether a muscle belly is long or short or wether the bicep is peaked or flat. If you look at bodybuilders who have had the misfortune of ripping the bicep muscle totally off the bone and having to have it reattached, the shape, length and peak of the muscle is always altered.
synthol
I do. If memory serves me right, you and i have similar physiques. I have that same reservoir that you describe between the bicep and forearm. I've always heard that hgh could grow new muscle fibers (still don't know that it's true) but its just genetic isn't it? No way around it.
yes we do have similar physuques but I am MUCH better loking :)))
I know I know! I'm pretty ugly actually! I don't know how to describe my appearance (face). When ppl try to guess my ethnicity they never get it right. I have heard everything from Italian, to Cambodian, Indian, half black half white, all different kinds of Spanish (their first guess is Puerto Rican). But yeah the mixture that I am (Italian/Jew (Hebrew or native Israeli) is pretty fucked up. Remember sloth from goonies? Yeah it's like that! :-(
Fcking Good! That is the universe's way of balancing out shit for your metabolism! Actually scratch that you lying bastard I have seen your wife...you can't be ugly just another one of your tricks to draw out the guys with scars ehhhhh!
Lmao!!! I have some pretty nasty scars too. They are on the back of my head tho. The ugly definitely balances the metabolism. Lol. Mother Nature equating the scales
Lmao!! Well that shit is working for you!
I have this and so does my mate, I don't reall mind it but he has a bad complex about it, hes been trying for four years to grow the muscle longer etc no luck!! a trainer at the gym reckons that's just how it is and cant be changed!! im interested in hgh for next year so is he!! so we will see!!! would be nice!!! cheers
Hgh has its place but I keep hearing that the combination of GHRP-6 & CJC-1295 work much better together I'm promoting IGF-1 production in the body. Something to look into anyway.
BigBmajI would run some blood work on the peptides to determine that if someone would provide a protocol. I'm very curious.
Really!! That is very interesting. Now does that also promote the same fat burning properties. And don't come back with "who needs that!!" lol. For real though I am interested in this!
BigBmajIt really seems promotes fat burning. I could not gain body fat while running those peptides. But I didn't notice much anabolic potential.
And some people seem to respond better than others. After running them for a few months I told everyone I knew with higher body fat to run them. And most didn't seem to notice a huge difference in that department.
Ghrp 6 is known to cause a major appetite increase.
So I recommended GHRP2 and ipamorelin to combine with the CJC.
Very good my man! Now I will be researching! +2 for the great info!
valhallas beststretching.. hanging in the pull up bar and letting them stretch out thats what i was told and it seems to years over the years
waltrImplants.
waltr;P
I wouldn't get implants.
BigBmajYoga is great. Find a good class. I like hot power vinyasa. Many beautiful women there as well. But my biceps are still short and tall.
Someone the other day told me they could tell I wasn't going deep enough with my bicep exercises. I was selling short on the stretch part of each rep, eccentric part of the lift. He has better biceps than me, so I listened and started going as low as possible, feeling for a deep stretch on each rep. Ill let you know what happens. I think I just happen to have a long tendon and that it's totally genetic. But I could be wrong.
Do give yoga a try you will maybe hate it but let it do it's magic for about 6 weeks, 3 or so classes a week. I think you will be surprised, especially if you find a good class.
It's great for breathing too.
It is a genetic thing. Maybe there can be a slight modification but not enough to make that big of a difference. I have stretched for years because of martial arts and although my muscle became very flexible the genetic shape was not altered to my knowledge. I have also done yoga after I mocked my wife for wanting me to do it and then realized what a pussy I am and would rather Thai Box all day long.
x2, you may lengthen a little but you will never change the genetic make up of the muscles.
i as well have a short bicep muscle, that when flexed there is a space between the muscle and forearm. i have tried everything to elongate the bi, preacher curls with constant tension on lower part of the bi, bands, 1/4 reps with constant tension on lower part of bi's etc. nothing works, it is just genetically how you are built.
Anonunless you have stopped weight training for 6 months and just done yoga are you sure you can say that ?
i take off every year from november-march, 5 months but close enough.
AnonIts one of those arguments that I seem to be able to find info that supports either argument. I would however say that unless you had taken a break briefly from weight training the results you saw may not be representative of what can actually be accomplished with yoga or pilates. The funny thing is I cant ever remember many stocky bulked up people in a yoga class. They always look long and lean. Supposedly the posture does change and as a result the way one carries ones self.
Its funny though because if you remember it was you that directed me to the set of beginner at home yoga discs I bought
Thought this might be interesting though for both you and HllyWd

Very good points. I have not researched the studies on either side, I am coming from a complete personal experience only. But I would be a bad test case anyways because I actually have long muscle bellies as far as biceps. I do believe in the health benefits of yoga, and the blood circulation during lifting has drastically increased.
I am going to read up!
hey I'm just glad no one is suggesting ballet
AnonAnd here I thought my stock in the capezio and leg warmer company was going to bounce back :(
Lmao!
AnonYou need to get in to yoga and that will lengthen the muscles . Short muscles often result in pain and limited mobility. Without stretching exercises muscle tissue naturally shortens up.
I was afraid someone was going to say that LOL
AnonIt F-ing tough stuff. I hate it , Id much rather hear the plates and dumbells clanking, but the times I have actually stuck with it I started to notice a difference in a couple weeks. You have inspired me to get the mat out tonight
