Grab a couple napkins and the key is to make sure you break AWAY from the little cut they make on the amp. That was my mistake Ikept breaking them all crooked and gettin glass in there and cutting myself.....they make a little cut and usually there's a dot....I thought I was supposed to break into the slit, but u gotta break away and they come off easy every time. I think if you can get that down there's no need for an opener. For real they break off like really easy if u break the right direction

Best to invest in a good amp opener just the same as having a good pill cutter,it makes life a lot easier with no fear of wasting expensive compounds.

you can snap it off, use your shirt as a glove

A pen cap is what I started using until I crushed my second amp then I paid the $6 and bought an opener. Also look for the lil dot, usually that shows where the amp was scored to break easier.

Wrap it in a tissue paper put a pen cap over the top and snap it off

Years ago the amps I use to get came with a little saw blade so you could score the amp.You could probably use a small hack saw blade to score the amp.

the safe snap amp snappers are pretty good, and only cost a couple peanuts. i might start selling these lol. but you could always use the door hinge, works well for me!

I've crushed an amp before. Almost had to get stitches. Never again...I'll stick with vials. Either use two hand towels or gloves if you're scared of crushing them. But, I've heard good things about amp openers.
