You can go on TRT and still conceive. The thinking that you can't is outdated and is no longer accepted as true in the medical field. It may be slightly more challenging but it's by no means impossible. I thought it was an issue and consulted with a few endos, and I know people who have been on TRT with no hcg for 8 years+ who have had kids. Running 100mg e4d too, in that persons case! As far as if you should do it, I'd base it on your medical stats not just your age and current life outlook. No need to rush it bro. I'm not the same person I was at 24, and you should leave your options open till you truly need to make that decision.
AnonWell if it's anything like RT... JK. These men will take care of ya!!
GearofWarWell, at 33 years old being on TRT isn't such a big deal IMO, and it has turned my life around 180 degrees. I seriously tell people that AAS and TRT have saved my life. I'm not being dramatic. It's a fact. Before I started TRT my will to live was almost gone. After TRT it's like I've been given a new lease. So, I'm partial to TRT but I'm not quite sure if I'd throw away my chances at natural test production at such an early age. Yes, cruising is so much easier and more convenient than PCT, but also just think about fertility issues if you ever plan to have children. I already had 2 when I started TRT.
I wouldn't do it bro, your still young and don't know what life will throw at you. I know bodybuilding is all you care about at this point and maybe it will be but what if something changes? The thing about life is the only thing gueranted is death. If you do go trt do it the right way go threw a doc. This way he can monitor your bloods closely and flag any would be dangers, I can't stress this enough.
BB is 100% correct! I would not have gone on unless I was a real candidate for it. I will promise you XV as you age your perspective on life will change and If you fall in love and marry and can't give your wife a baby knowing that it could be because of this TRT decision it will haunt you. You can't see or feel it now but perspective will and does change. Forget about the health issues of the possible f*cking up of your healthy endocrine system.
Anonagreed 150%, and hopes he listens to someone who has been there, done that - and clearly reached an exemplary level.
Steroids aren't anything near what people make them out to be, but years of blasting and cruising will take its toll on your panels bro..
nice post, but there are two things in life that are guaranteed , death AND taxes!
Your a full time pro body builder so go for it! You blast enough that you may already need TrT !
STAY HUGE BROTHER!!! Your an inspiration
GATORGEAR
AnonIf u get a pro card out of it then I'd say it's a great idea. If u don't I'd say ur a fool!
Do you know that the way I deal with getting older is to count a score (20 years) as 1 life lived. So I'm 2 score and 14.
Why is this relevant? I've lived over 2 and a half times your life. I've seen and done things I never imagined or expected. I've been homeless living out of my car. And I've owned a company that grossed over 1 million a year. I look forward and see that I still have (potentially) 60 more years -3 more lives!
You have no idea what life will throw at you in the next 100 years. How will you buy gear when you are down on your luck? what if technology and laws change where it is impossible to get?
What if they come up with a new product 100% safe FDA approved and just like steroids? But, you already "castrated" yourself.
What you suggest is like impatiently getting a tattoo of a goat riding a rainbow above your pubic area... then realizing after the fact --when it's too late, what a bad idea that was.
Trust me, I know.
well said. Anyway you can post that pic of the goat and rainbow?
LOL! You know I keep getting asked that same question... it was bad enough that I shared that photo with Tred in a PM.
Trt being bad is a common misconception. Im not condoning it due to it is often viewed as a bad thing.
Techincally speaking, if you run bio-identical levels when your "off" cycle it would be no different than actually being off. You avoid the dreading "low t" period which causes the sudden loss of gains.
The main concerns of trt are:
1. Shots for the rest of your life.
2. Infertility. Even this is a misconception. One of my best friends is a VERY well known TRT doc in my region. He states that he has patient who have been on TRT for years and want children. He gives them clomid, Hcg, or Hmg, or any combination of these drugs and it has never once failed him.
3. Increase of cholesterol, or VERY large increases in triglycerides. This is subjective as techinically if your diet is in check it shouldn't be a huge problem. My buddy or dr. says he recommends his patients donate plasma, this gives huge drops in bad cholesterol.
Like I said, I don't recommend it as it is still fairly new and we still don't know all the facts. Taking a shot every week twice a week for the rest of your life is never something someone knowledgeable would recommend but if it fits your goals and its what you want, no one will really be able to stop you.
Get your facts straight and learn, learn, learn my friend.
I have been on TRT since the age of thirty(five years now) and my health stays perfect. My diet stays in check and I am monitored every three months. Something I have found out is when you "blast", higher doses are often required. I attribute this to the fact that your receptors never really clear.
So the huge gains you see when you start a new cycle probably won't be the same once your on TRT, thats also something to consider. BUT you never will really lose much size either.
Its a double edged sword, this TRT nonsense ha.
I know you are on a whole nother level than myself, but trt is something you should put some serious thought into. Im in the same boat. Doc has wanted me on it for year, im postponing it as log as possible for ancouple personal reasons.
Just my 0.02 im sure competing seriously is in your near future so your decision making would be much different than mine.
what are the consequences, is it bad thing, good thing?
i think the "consequences" or "risks" would very from person to person, the risk of sterility is lower than what seems to be though, but a slight risk nonetheless. Permanant shutdown is the main thing to think about which is why people say trt is for life.
thinking about this too, as i am 26 and just found out yeaterday we got pregnant!! so im all cycles from here on out!
see if i go on trt, does it mean im screwed if i want kids in the future..all my friends are pinning w/ no breaks, and im kinda of jealous, im shrinking while they getting bigger
see idk.. i was on week 11 of cycle when we found out and we were tryin every week.. so def never say never in that aspect.
Steroid induced sterility has a very high % of reversibility with and without medication. Do some google searches, lots of good reading on the topic.
Just remember trt is more than just pinning every weeks, constant bloodwork and doctor visits and whatnot.
true that
biggerthanyouWell trt may not be for life how did that triptorelin turn out?
its good, no post cycle depression but i lost half of my gains from the cycle and im still shrinking
Have you had bloods done recently? Maybe your pct isnt working or you have shut your system down hard and it doesn't want to restart. Have you done bloods a few months after your last cycle to see what you produce naturally? Maybe you don't produce all that much naturally.
Here's a quick list of Cons I can think of now:
With TRT you are going to have to pin every 5-7 days which carries a much higher risk of infection than just pinning while on cycle.
You will have donate blood as often as they allow and even then the TRT might make you have higher RBC/Hemo/Hema than can be drained. If that happens you have to go beyond blood donations.
If you are estro sensative, unless you run really low doses you will need to run an AI constantly, which can carry thier own sides.
Sterility, but thats already been covered. If you are real keen on having kids in the future, get yours sperm tested before you go on TRT to see if you are even fertile now.
Cost, you gotta pay every month and that will add up in the next 80 years :-)
Bloodwork every 6 months give or take.
The Pros are as follows:
You can run much higher than you make naturally and have much more stability in your levels.
You can also find that sweet spot where you feel best, and keep yourself at that level easily.
No more PCT!
You have a scrip so travel is easy.
You will lose alot less gains when off-cycle.
Preloading a cycle is easier, just start upping you dose until you can jump right in.
Lots to think about!
I think the amount of mass you have REQUIRES a high level of anabolic activity in the body to maintain it. Whether it's from test or HGH or whatever.
But keep in mind, if you are on TRT, the doc is likely gonna start you at 75mg per week or 200mg every other week. Even if you find a knowledgeable endo. hes still gonna have you on 100-150mg per week. They go by blood tests, so if your test is 900 on 50mg per week they will keep you there lol.
So even if you went on TRT, you'd probably still need a slightly higher than TRT dose to keep your mass, such as 200-300mg per week. Keep in mind you carry more mass than the average gym rat which usually means you need a higher test level to maintain it.
That's why BIG guys blast and cruise. Sometimes add a small dose of a second anabolic to their cruise like 50mg deca or 100mg primo etc. They are usually on 300mg per week which is higher than any doctor will prescribe
Depends on location and what doctor, my doctor actually prescribes me test cyp 200 at dosages of .75cc twice a week. This keeps my test levels between 900-1200. My doctor says all of his patient tend to function and feel better at the higher end of the normal range, or slightly above.
Being on TRT doesn't necessarily mean he has to have a doctor prescribe him the test. A good many fellows are on self prescribed Trt.
Not the best choice... but in my area MANY of the doctors arefools when it comes to trt.
Believe it or not my fathers GP put him on androgel with 2.5mg letro ED. My dad was wondering why his dick wouldnt work, he felt terrible, had headaches, joint aches.... yeah..
biggerthanyouDam that sucks man sorry to hear that :/ have u tried igf1 during pct? Perhaps we need to start pm'ing again no homo lol
forsure pm me
