Ok I didnt want to hijack a thread, but I wanted to inform the community how a counterfeit operation can run. In india a few operations have been busted, with the same motus operandi.For instance a legit factory say produces viagra. So legally anyone could aquire the raw materials to produce viagra MINUS the active controlled substance of viagra. Now not everyone has a factory. But what goes on is an inside job. The factory workers or owners or managers or whomever is involved use there knowledge of the buisness to aquire the raw materials and packaging to create viagra. But what they cant do is buy active ingredient in viagra without it being on the books. So in the middle of the night the crooks open the factory and for one night produce all bunk viagra that look and are packaged just like viagra. They do it quick and quiet before they get caught. this is why I say slow down, just because it looks legit does not mean it is at all. This product finds its way to reselllers, such as some internet indian pharmacy.
The second form of counterfitting is much less common with medications. That is engineers attempt to "Reverse engineer" the product and packaging. An example would be a factory in china attempts to reverse engineer nike shoes but they arent made with the same materials and they look a little off.
