Got Staph again, on cycle, need some help

ad

I recently got staph again and I am on cycle right now and I'm really going back and forth on scrapping my cycle or staying on. I don't want to, but at the same I do so I don't have any more locations for an infection to appear, this abscess is not from an injection site, however I did get one on my quad close to an injection site the last time I had staph and this one is equally as painful.

I have a strain that is antibiotic resistant from what my doctor told me, meaning the infection gets killed not the virus when I take antibiotics.

What do y'all think stay on or scrap it? I'm in need of some advice, especially if anyone has dealt with this. Thanks y'all.

Yea, I would scrap the cycle. It's a shame, but staph is not a joke. good luck bro

On the way to see my doctor now. I hope he has something to kill this crap.

Thanks man, I've been put on a triple dose of penicilin along with bactrim ds and hydrocodone for pain. They took blood to see if I have anything hindering my ability to recover, so I should know by the end of the week if I have an immune system deficiency.

Drop the cycle,....................get the staph under control,...............then look at restarting the cycle,............if the staph comes back at that point, it may help answer some questions.

Saying your staying on the cycle because you know/don't think it is causing it, is a form of denial.

Just my 5 cents worth.

I'm scrapping it. My doc could tell I'm on something and suggested I get off, and it sucks because everything is kicking in and I'm in contest prep, well not anymore.. but this way I can know for sure. They took blood to see if I have the resistant strain like they thought and to see if there is anything that is keeping me from getting better. I've been put on a heavy antibiotic regiment. Hopefully it goes away soon.

I would break down and go to a doctor tell them what yoru on and see what they say.

Yeah MRSA, had a 106 degree fever in december from it, hit me like a ton of bricks. Like I said below, got it from the hospital when I went to visit my dad after his surgery. I wipe everything down, got a box of 100 individually packaged BD syringes and I've never reused a single one plus I cover the injection site with a band aid and neosporin on it.

If your body is that sensitive....just a simple injection sets your system off. You May not like the opinion but not juicing maybe your only alternative. Or you're going to haave life or limb loss. Be safsafe buddy

Yeah I have multiple quarter sized scars on me from the last time I had it. I'll find out what the cause is once my blood work comes back. Thanks man, I'm trying to stay safe.

How do you keep getting staph? You've got bad gear or bad injection techniques.

finafan's picture

once you get staph you can have it forever.

kirkles21's picture

That's what my doctor told me.

Had to have my leg cut and drained in January... no fun.

staph can kill you if you let it get out of control. My brother n law had a hole ate in him by staph as big as a fist

Yeah I had 5 spots that all left holes in me, nice quarter sized purple scars. I know the signs now so I'm not letting it get out of control, it flared up last Thursday and I immediately called my doctor and got what I took last time I had it.. but it isn't working the way it worked last time. I've been prescribed different things now.

Got staph from the hospital bro. Went to visit my dad after his surgery and I got it while there. He got it too. It's definitely not the way I pin. I wipe everything down with alcohol before I jab, then put neosporin ona band aid and put it over the hole, always have. And if I knew how I kept getting it I would fix the issue...

Dirty injections are scarey reality. Or dudes injecting same spot frequently . Not rotating sites. Scarey life threatening shit.
