early diet effects
ad
Hi.
I love traning ( weight lifting ) been doing it for around 6 years but its been a bit of a waste of time as i could never stick to a diet for more than a week because of all the effects i get when on diet.
Im a very bad junk food eater and i cant really same to get off the sugar stuff. ( Sweets/ crisps ect ) i get really sore head, tired and very moody.
anyone know what i can do to help overcome this?
planing on starting a diet again.
im about 25 / 28 BF and would love to get to 12 / 15 %
i know this will take time but got to start somewhere.
Just been on holidays and i felt like poop because of the body fat.
would like to get it off for next year.
All info welcome.
Thanks

@Ryan2014, the other super simple thing to remember is, WATER. It is incredible how easy it is to go through a day and completely forget to simply stay hydrated. Some people will tell you to drink four liters a day, others will instruct you authoritatively, "drink water when you're hungry and wait twenty minutes." Either way, just be cognizant of your water intake. Not soda. Not juice. WATER. I love coffee and tea, so I have to drink extra water each day to compensate for the diuretic effect of caffeine. Regardless, @Ryan2014, just be aware of your H2O intake and increase it if needed. If it's not an issue for your, no worries. Cheers! -Zeus
Thanks all for ur feedback
Couple of things
Start slowly with the reduced sugar. Get your carbs just make sure its from good sources.
Moat important when trying to atart a diwt likw this is keep the deficit small and get all calories from whole foods.
You will be surprised how much food 2000 calories is when coming from good clean sources.
Sounds like sugar withdrawal to me, that stuff has some serious addiction properties. Try finding really good bcaa flavor you really enjoy and only drinking it when you are having a craving. Sugar free gum can help, popping a piece can help distract your brain. Every time you feel like you are gong to break down and eat something, try eating a decent serving of fruit instead, this will give your body the sugar it's craving withour really falling off the wagon and binging on donuts. Try avoiding getting seriously hungry, low blood sugar lowers our priorities. Also check out walden farms products, they definitely can help.
Those that want it enough do it...those that dont make excuses. Simple as that
Headache, tired, moody sound like withdrawal symptoms - like from an addiction. If junk food is an addiction, look online for resources on recovery.
Ibuprofen or similar helps with headaches.
Caffeine helps with headaches and tired.
Running, walking, or any diversion to constructive activity helps with moody.
Meditation helps with moody.
Running and walking help with moody, tired, and headaches.
Sleeping enough helps with moody, tired, and headaches.
Staying hydrated helps with moody, tired, and headaches.
Thinking of food as nutrition is the way to go, but if you have been thinking of it as comfort, recreation, or whatever else, it will help to find other things that meet whatever need food is meeting now.
I think the "withdrawal" symptoms will subside after a few weeks, but it will take some toughness to endure.
And if you fall off the horse, get back on. Right away - not tomorrow, next week, or someday. Sometimes people view that first piece of candy as a failure and soon enough throw the entire long-term plan out the window. Don't aim for mistakes, but when one happens, allow it, keep looking forward, and move on.
the ONLY thing that has finally helped me is meticulously tracking my calories with myfitnesspal . Also pretty much eating the same things day in and day out.
I'm down 16 lbs in 12 weeks, with no muscle loss (yet). Only on TRT right now. No thermogenics.
I've crash dieted in the past and lost muscle.
I think slow and steady wins the race. And having your mind made up that you are NOT going to cheat except maybe one meal per week. Will power is everything as well.
Good luck!!
+1 on that, brother. SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE!!!
(Also, don't be afraid to actually share your age & stats with this community. It may seem trivial to you, but it certainly helps other men, like me, who are researching things like TRT, or doing a simple cycle, etc. I'm not flaming on you, just requesting your willingness to participate to help add to the immense database that eroids has become. Cheers, bigbus! -Zeus)
Thanks Zeus! I updated my stats!!
Yes id love the help. i replied to ur post with a diet im gona start. i want this bad and im gona stick to it this time. i was told it will ease in time.
Honestly mate it's all down to you and how bad you want it. It's a bit like a smoker giving up, it's the ones that REALLY want to stop that succeed. Most people that say they want to stop don't really want to, they just believe they should. If you're looking in the mirror and don't like what you see, it's down to you. You made it, only you can fix it.
I can give you all the diet assistance you need in terms of a plan, but you need to stick to it. I'm greedy with food, without the gym I'd probably be similar BF% to you. I view food differently to most, I view it as "nutrition". Some of my diet I eat, some of it I just consume. After a while that just becomes second nature. You CAN do that.
If I can help out, drop me a line.
