Depression post cycle
Hey guys. I was wondering if any of you have experience with post cycle depression. I just started my pct and I've been feeling really low lately. I've also just been a lot more sensitive and lonely feeling. I keep getting frustrated with my spouse because she doesn't try to help me but I know she has her own stuff going on. I am just wondering if there is anything I can do to ward this off because I feel like shit and I have a ways to go with my pct. cycle was: 400 ish mgs of test prop weekly with 50 mg dbol daily. And I am about three days into my pct on 100 mg clomid. The plan was 100 mg clomid daily for two weeks, then maybe 50 mg daily for another week, and maybe some nolva after that. Any input is appreciated.
Just a FYI I'm not a girl haha sorry for the confusion

After any heavy cycle I've done would cause depression... I Wish I could help but I just ride the ride and deal with it and eventually goes away.
Rustyhooker"Maybe some nolva"
Welcome to eroids brother. You got warned and here's proof of listening skills
The reason I am skeptical about adding nolva is because my doctor told me not to take them together. He is an endo with a lot of experience treating anabolic steroid induced hypogonadism and has had lots of his patients try different pct regimens and he said taking them together doesn't improve effectiveness and causes more side effects
You have made it clear nobody here has given you any usable tips
Do what your Dr advises and be happy
RustyhookerThen you're on trt? Normal Dr are not endocrinologist. Unless you're at some pay to play wellness clinic, then hes a quack.
Your hormones are adjusting, so this down feeling is normal and a part of cycling. Keep eating and training...maybe lower training intensity for a couple weeks, but stick with it. Recovery is difficult for all of us and it is not your spouses fault. If your depression gets too bad you should talk to your doctor as there may be an underlying condition that needs treating.
Good advice thank you for your input. I'm going back to the gym today. I read someone on this forum that a well respected member posted and he suggested to take a week off when you come off gear and so that's what my logic was behind that but I guess it isn't the best idea for me
rocketballzI don't know many women who have 12% body fat lol
Its a guy....... with a girly sounding handle
That is a pretty serious cycle for a woman. Maybe a little to harsh. I hope you know what you are doing
I thought the same thing...the clomid part threw me for a loop then realized it's a guy....haha
Sorry for the confusion I am a male
rocketballzI think everyone who has cycled has feared the post cycle crash at some point. That's one way you can get into trouble with aas and end up on trt. Last cycle I used Ostarine as part of my pct and I experienced ZERO post cycle crash. It's now close to 6 months post PCT and I still feel good. I recently had bloods done, roughly 5 months post pct and my levels came back great for my age..605 natty total test, lh 9.9, fsh 4.4. Bottom line here is peptides like ostarine have been shown to help with the post cycle crash. Research it until you know everything there is to know about it then make a decision for yourself. I just saw you are 25 yrs old. My recommendation to you is to forget aas until you have peaked naturally.
Damn I thought ostarine would be suppressive I actually have some on hand maybe I'll take it. Yep I've actually decided to take a while of aas after this cycle since I need to focus on my career for a bit
where is your ai ? you can half dose the nolva and add aromasin it seems to help however you also need to pay attention to the guys below you ... telling you to eat and train like you are on cycle...
just what is it you want your spouse to do ?
I just felt like my spouse wasn't taking it seriously and was not making me a priority. She just rescheduled something to make more time to be with me right now though so I'm feeling much better about that. It sucks because I know I'm being ridiculous and emotional but I can't help it
I came off the arimidex. I was taking 1 mg every other day on cycle but I felt like my joints were getting too dry so I stopped it. I wish I could get a fast / accurate test for my estrogen but the only one I've found to be even remotely accurate is the sensitive estradiol test and that usually takes over a week to get the results. I'm still torn as to whether or not I should take an ai, I feel like I would push my estrogen too low if I took one since I don't have must testosterone to convert to estrogen
If your joints got too dry from your AI, perhaps you crashed your estro and your estro has yet to rebound. I crashed my estro on cycle last fall and it took quite a while for it to recover. Id imagine crashed estro on top of post cycle low Test could exacerbate post cycle blues. I'd get that estro checked ASAP before resuming use of an AI. just my 0.02.
This is what I am thinking too and I will get my e2 checked thank you for your input
Your pct should look like this.
100/100/50/50 Clomid
40/40/20/20 Nolva
Continue eating and training like you would if you were still on cycle. It sucks believe me I know been there done that. Keep your head up and stay positive.
Damn that's gnarly. I'm a little worried about taking those doses of nolva and clomid together but I guess I'll give it a shot
You shouldn't be worried about taking Clomid and Nolva at those doses, it's actually standard PCT protocol. You'll be fine, use the search bar up top and check it out.
Ok sounds good. For whatever reason I didn't see a standard pct sticky I just saw a torem info post and something else but yea I failed to search so my bad
You need to eat and train just like you were on cycle. You should never be doing things different whether on or off cycle. That is how you keep and maintain the gains. This is all part of cycling so if you "can't do the time don't do the crime".
im a week into pct aswell mate, clomid 50mg a day and nolva 40. i always feel majorly depressed for the 1st few days of pct from where my tes levels have dropped, i just do 2 heavy leg days a week instead of 1 and deadlifts twice a week during pct, i think this helps boost natural tes more then the tablets. i feel fine now
Ok I will try that thank you. I thought maybe I'd take a week off working out since I barely have any testosterone but maybe that is making things worse
jkeeth82Deadlifting isnt going to bring levels back faster than nolva and clomid together lol. And if you read the pct guide on here it says to run them together and the exact dosage.. GET TO READING
