Tren and NPP
Has anybody watched or read about any studys done on multivitamins?
I remember watching something, according to the university who did the research their a waste of money. You don't benefit from taking them.
Bang'emIm pretty sure Ive seen something about that as well
The Only product I've never seen disputed about the fact it works is Whey protein - Everything else there's one that says it is effective and another that says it's not. Always try things for yourself to see if they work and never go off someone else's opinion, you have no idea on how they train or eat/sleep to truly get a proper idea.
Yeah you can't go wrong with some quality protein. It the only thing worth buying imo.
Alphamale500I don't think it's true that you don't get any benefits from multivitamins. But yeah, there's likely some vitamins which you get very little or no benefits from, depending on how it's ingested etc. Also, when you say multivitamins, are you talking about just multivitamins or benefiting from individual vitamins as well? I've read many studies/articles/etc showing the many benefits that particular vitamins have to offer. But multivitamins themselves, idk.
Of course like anything else, you can probably find information that supports both sides of the argument. I remember reading something that said when vitamins are all put together in one multivitamin, some vitamins can actually prevent the absorption of others.
I truly believe in using vitamins and other health supplements to help, or assist in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And it seems to be working for me, whether it's just a placebo effect or whatever, so I'm sold. But to each his own!
It was a food programme I was watching but it's about the background of food. So they did a study into multivitamins, not individual vitamins.
It was a proper thing, a university did the research and the end result was that their not needed, if a person eats a varied diet they would more than likely be getting their required needs met.
Multivitamins are the best selling of all in the supplement business so that's a lot of people who are happy to continue using them. If a person feels better for taking them even if it is like you said a placebo effect, each to hiş own.

God when you right it out it’s mental how much you take! I never realised it was so much!.......though Alphamale take the protein bar with his list! Lol
Just remember to cycle off taurine bro.
It can cause kidney /liver damage. Best to use it for the duration of an oral cycle to help with the painful pumps then stop when you stop your orals
Really? Never heard that before bud? I read about it on another board with links to studies about health benefits for the heart, liver, insulin resistance etc, I’ll try and dig it out later.
Edited to add:
Just found the post on a board I can’t mention I would assume due to advertising etc but found the original article the thread started with so have linked that below:

.
Basically your kidneys balance it out as does everything. But taurine is excreted through the kidneys, so if water intake isn't enough on top of all the protein we eat.......well you get the picture mate.
Always best to use just what we need and no more ++ for research bro
Kibby I’ve been having a bit of a search since you wrote about the effect on kidneys and I’m still struggling to find anything that shows anything but good things from taurine up to about 3G/day and possibly more for an indefinite period. Unless I’m reading it wrong anyway, I have to admit, this first link I’m going to post there is some wording that kind of baffles me lol

I remember when I use to take the odd bit of Taurine for back pumps back in the beginning, and one thing I do seem to remember is it made me pretty tired sometimes. When I looked it up it was because it blunted your adrenaline receptors/output so I stopped taking it in the end.
I’ve never had that to a noticeable degree Press, I have read it’s supposed to have some kind of calming qualities. I wonder why they always stick it in energy drinks?
It's because some studies have shown that when it is combined with Caffeine it improves mental performance, they say it improves aerobic capacity also so therefore in some cases athletic performance too.
Ah good one mate, thanks for the knowledge :-)
I never knew that either mate Lmao!
Ahh the power of google eh! ;-)
Ah right nice one bud thanks, will do a bit more research.
.
Alphamale500Nice list! I especially like that NAC, K-2 mk7, krill oil and pomegranate extract. Pomegranate seed extract has some very good longevity properties to it. And the green tea has some good polyphenols including EGCG.
Thanks bud :-) yeah the NAC is amazing for my immune system I find and I read up a lot about the pomegranate benefits in studies being pretty much the only product that can improve atherosclerosis (remove the calcification in the arteries) which although I’ve never had diagnosed as such in 99% sure I will have due to doing high doses of steroids (cycled but with only short breaks) over many years along with a lot of kcals. I’m much more conservative with my doses/cycles/food now I’m an old bastard at 40 lol
Alphamale500Your welcome bro! If you like the NAC for help with immune function, you should look into the Glutathione Plus transdermal patches. Besides glutathione, they contain NAC and other ingredients that are great for liver health and immune function! And a couple of additional supps that are great for atherosclerosis are grape seed extract, which contains anthocyanins like pomegranate seeds, plus additional phenolic acids and flavonoids. Another great supp is Kyolic #107, Aged Garlic and Phytosterols. One more real powerhouse of a supplement is Pterostilbene Plus with Resveratrol. Those two especially, you should really look into. Btw, I'm an old bastard too at 39, Lol!
Interesting, thanks mate. I will have a look at those for sure. Glad I’m not the only old bastard lol
Another thing I always make a point of having each day which isn’t a supplement but I thought worth mentioning is a handful of walnuts (or more if I haven’t the willpower) and sometimes I’ll mix it up with cashews/hazelnuts/peanut butter etc. I remember reading a study that walnuts + fish/krill oils are a 1+1 = 5 sort of thing in terms of health benefits.
https://ergo-log.com/fish-only-offers-protection-against-heart-attacks-i...
Alphamale500The nuts are certainly worth mentioning. Almonds are great for you too, and great tasting! And nuts in general contain "good fats", like polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats which are really beneficial for your lipids. You just have to be careful not to eat too many because of the saturated fat which they also contain. I like to get a good portion of my "good fats" from those KIND bars. Specifically the Almond, Caramel and Sea Salt flavored type. They are fuckn great bro!
Regarding fish oil, the type I like to use is the Nature Made brand because they also contain both of those good fats that I mentioned. And they're also USP certified, and undergo state of the art purification.
+1
Yep love almonds too, the etc bit meant any type of tree nut plus peanuts, all have great cholesterol benefits but from what I’ve read, walnuts are the best so they form a good 60% of my nut intake.
I’ll check them bars out mate thank you, never heard of them before! Wonder if anywhere in the uk stocks? I’ll have a look.
Alphamale500I'm not sure about the UK, but they're popular so maybe. Good fats are so helpful for your cholesterol levels, and just overall for your lipid profile! I love almonds, but your right, walnuts have the best overall nutritional value. The KIND bars are awesome bro. Maybe you can order some if they don't have them there. They're definitely worth it bro.
I found them online bud, they say them sell them in a couple local national stores so I’m gonna see if I can pick up a couple today to try :-)

Alphamale500When it comes to using vitamins and supplements, I really believe in their ability to help you maintain optimal health. Of course not all of them, but the more researched and evidence backed ones. I've been using them since I was about 12,13 years old. Over the years, I've added more to my daily protocol.
Not only do I only believe in the effectiveness of these vitamins and supps, but I've actually noticed how they've benefited my health. I haven't had a simple cold, the flu, a sore throat or anything whatsoever in over 20 years! And my bloodwork always shows their effectiveness as well. I can't think of any other reason to account for not even catching a simple cold or sore throat in all these years!
I always keep up with the latest research and developments in the vitamin and health supplement field. So from time to time, I make adjustments to my daily protocol in terms of dosages, new supps to add, and maybe remove or switch to a newer more effective version of some. After seeing my list below, you'll probably think I'm like a vitamin/supplement addict, Lol! But these daily vitamins and supplements have kept me feeling great and in perfect health with basically perfect bloodwork, so I'm gonna stick with them.

Wow, after actually seeing all of these supplements written down, maybe I could remove a few that are not as important as the rest!
Yeah - since you are taking a complete multi - doubling up on individual vitamins/minerals is a waste of time and money as your body only needs it's minimum requirements and excretes the rest, Same applies to the doubling up on the probiotics, and there is very little scientific evidence to support most herbal 'remedies.' Finally, you might be thinking that you are doing your body a favour by taking a shit-load of supplements, but taxing your liver and kidneys to process the excessive amounts of vitamins, minerals, chemicals and herbs is not healthy. ....but hey - your body and your wallet.
Alphamale500I don't double up on anything that's going to cause harm to my body. I've put a lot of time into researching the vitamins and supplements I take. And there's one thing that nobody can argue with, and that's the fact that I'm in perfect health, always have perfect bloodwork, and I haven't even had a cold in over 20 years! Oh, and I feel great everyday. I'm not saying this is for everyone, but this is how I do it. I do hear what you're saying, but believe me, I make sure my body doesn't get too much of any vitamins which can cause me harm.
Regarding the probiotics, the one 16 strain probiotic is a pill that you swallow for your digestive health.. The other is a chewable form that's really good for the bacteria in your mouth and teeth. Yes, they both go into your body but one extra strain of probiotic isn't going to harm me in any way.
As you know, there are some vitamins that are absorbed very well, others that have poor bioavailability, and some your body will piss the excess right out. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I do my best to make sure not to overload on any vitamins that can cause me harm.
Alphamale500Which vitamins or minerals are you suggesting that I'm getting too much of??
Everything you are taking that is beyond the minimum daily requirement. you work it out.
Alphamale500I have worked it out meticulously, over and over. And I can assure you that my body isn't consuming any vitamins or supplements that can cause me harm in the amounts I'm consuming them. And the bottom line is this is my protocol, just like I'm assuming you have yours. No need to worry, I got this!
I'm not worried in the least. I don't give a flying farnarcle what you choose to put in your body. I'm just pointing out the delusion that you are under that by using AAS you can offset their serious deleterious effects by using vitamins, minerals and herbs. That is a significant misrepresentation and is grossly misleading for the younger AAS users here. Do what you want mate...once again - your body.
