Bloodwork Results. Looking for opinions

ad

35yo male
178lbs

My general "feeling" is somewhat lethargic. Not really out of shape, but haven't been in the gym for a while. I wanted to get some bloods done just to get an idea. So here are the test levels from the test.

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, LC/MS/MS - 325
FREE TESTOSTERONE - 82.9

Maybe these numbers are all relative, but I have gotten great advice before from the community, so I figured I would ask again.

There are other results in the test that I could provide if needed. I got the comprehensive panel for males from labsmd

Thanks!

Test levels are on the lower end, but probably not low enough for a doc to put you on TRT. Low T and your lethargy can be caused by a lot of things. Diet, stress, lack of sleep, lack of exercise etc. Get back in the gym, and clean up your diet and get into a regular routine and then go back and see how your T levels are doing. That could really make a big difference. T levels peak in the morning so be sure your test is done in the morning also just in case it wasn't.Try some natural T boosters in the meantime also.

Thanks for the great info on some natural supplements. I went ahead and ordered some in order to add to my daily regimen.

Thanks again

Hopefully things will turn around for you. The last thing you want is to be dependent on TRT, believe me.

Lethargy could be caused by a lot of things. A lot of things. Poor diet, fungi, poor gut bacteria, chronic stress, hormone imbalance, ect ect

T is low. But this doesn't tell you much. What else did you have done? Post everything plz. How is your diet? How are your stress levels? How is sleep?

here is the link for the results. I accidentally had some coffee and an apple danish in the AM. Probably skewed the results. honest mistake.

either way, there it is.

Coffee and an apple danish will not typically effect hormone levels. Fasting is necessary for the metabolic panel, and/or lipid profile....

Chronic stress - I did recently switch jobs, living in a one bedroom apt with my wife and 1yr (temporary until we find a house) which i suppose is stressful enough to deal with

Diet is not "clean" by any means. At least not in comparison to when i was actively lifting. I do try and eat decent however. Sleep is good, getting a good 8 hours a night.

maybe i can send my results directly to you.

I'm not a doctor, but here is my opinion. Everything looks good except for T. TSH could be slightly lower but I don't think it's a major problem. It would be nice to see FSH/LH/Prolactin/DHEA/SHGB. Those offer a better physiological explanation as to where your hormonal pathways are being short changed and can tell you what you can do about it.

Stress puts the body into conservation mode. So, energy previously given to hormone pathways is reduced and redirected to fight of flight metabolic pathways.

What can you do?

Reduce stress the best that you can. Poor foods have a stressful effect on the body as well. This might sound like some hippy shit to you, but meditation works. Look into it. Just 10 minutes a day.

There are many ways to increase test levels in the meantime. DHEA/Zinc/vit D (if deficient in any) can bring T up. There are herbs also. You could go the clomid route as well. You have a lot of options.

the biggest take away here is this - listen to your body. If you're tired, you overworked yourself. Take a break, regroup, and reemerge when you're ready. respect your body or it will kick you in the ass until you listen. he doesn't fucking give up...

You can redact all the personal info on the labs and post them up on the site brother. It'll give you a much broader audience and they will see the larger picture, if anything is out of the norm, etc.

Give them a little history like you just did in this post as well, it could help ad well.
