Bitcoin transferred amount differs from deposit.

Hopefully someone can explain this...
I deposited cash into bitcoin atm at my location...when I transferred paper wallet to my wallet it was $13 less...

Going off what everyone else has said its probably the volatility of the bitcoin plus maybe some fees. My friends do huge chunks of bitcoin at once and it can fluctuate within a few % literally in the few minutes it takes to process.

I think he bought 1.5k of bitcoin and ended up getting 1.43 or something. He was pretty pissed. But on the flipside (no pun intended) he also has put in 2k and ended up 2.12. Waited a few days and it was 2.5.

I wish I had invested in bitcoin before it took off. So much illegal things to buy... I mean uhh such a safe way to store money.

It could be fees. It could also be fluctuation. Make sure you know what site they are using for their exchange rate.

How long between deposit and transfer? Bitcoin value fluctuates constantly.

So is it best to just keep funds in there and pull trigger...cause it looks like I'm spending more than originally thought.

I left 300 in there last year that is worth over a grand now.

Its really your call...value goes down AND up "radically" at times. Do what you're comfortable with. You could wait and see if the value raises again before pulling trigger...all depends on how much impact the $13 has on your budget.

Thats probably enough. That and the small service charge to transfer. I would guess thats where the 13 dollars went to.
