I had surgery in 2003. Only had it in one nip. I had a lump there when I was 17, but it went away. Came back after a test/EQ cycle and stayed. I played dumb to Dr, they pulled it and it was covered by insurance because they did biopsy since breast cancer runs in family. I only missed like 10 days in gym. Been fine ever since. Didn't have to wear compression wrap or anything.
Knock on wood, but so far no issues. The crappy part is he told me the lump is always bigger under the surface than you realize. Pulled out lump size of golf ball! I've run like 3 cycles since, but took a few years off before I did due to injuries. I ran nolvadex at like 10mg a day though. Just started deca/test/dbol cycle, so I'll start nolva in probably 3 weeks.
I get paranoid because on test my nips are hard a lot, especially on sustanon. But I don't think that's gyno related, it just happens on elevated hormones for some reason.
I had pubertal gyno, it seems hereditary, my dad has it too. Not from being fat or anything though. But a prohormone cycle made it worst. So it started to hurt and i saw a surgeon my GP recommended. I claimed it hurt, inferiored with work and was getting worst and i didnt tell him about my prohormone cycle just that its from puberty and hurts alot.
The pain factor and that its getting worse is what the key for getting insurance to pay for it. If you mention the appearance your doctor will note this and insurance will claim its a cosmetic surgery. You basically need a cool doctor to handle the insurance company and file things properly. You have to neet certain criteria such as progressive pain. My doctor was cool and explained alot of it to me. Sugery was only 2 hours. Knocked out hard lol, was given pain killers after, didnt need them, j us t wore the compression thing, sold the pain killers. Went out to eat with my women. Lol. Opiates actually cause gyno so dont take them. Recovered in about three weeks to a month, nipples look normal and confidence is high obviously. I dont cycle too heavy so i dont regrow anything, he left a tiny, thin amount to my nipple doesnt cave in but its not puffy either. Its an easy surgery and recovery. Id get it if you can swing it with the insurance company. .. i hope this helps man.
Thanks for the excellent write up Purp!! Much appreciated for sure. I can't say I'm leaning towards surgery now, just gathering info for the time being. I did not have issues growing up, but I'll be 37 next week and do get tired of the flare ups and all the counter measures. I'm E2 sensitive and no matter how good my diet and cycle is dialed in I always manage to get flare ups. It has not been enough to keep me away from AAS's at this point and I'm not sure it warrants surgery just yet as I typically return to normal post cycle. Just looking at options and I enjoy hearing personal experiences and opinions as well. Thanks again bro....wish you well my friend
Before my surgery i noticed diet changes had a huuuuuuge impact on the puffiness. Dairy, gluten and sodium all made it puffy. Adding turmeric to my diet also helps reduce alot of inflammation.
glad to hear it worked for you bro.
my insurance completely eliminated gyno surgery no matter even if it's for pain. well that's what the surgeon biller said to me. unless she was lying because she didn't want to fill out the necessary paperwork lol

Thanks for sharing your experience DS! So you still have no issues with the untouched side?

Plenty guys on here have
I apologize if this subject has been covered....I admit I did not do an extensive search on this site
PurplemayhemYeah, got my insurance to pay 2/3rds of it as well. What do you need to know?
Thanks for the reply Purp....just looking for general experiences right now from actual people.
How did you come to the decision to have the surgery?
How was your experience during the process?
You mentioned your insurance picked up part of the tab, very interesting could you speak on how you came to those terms?
How was the outcome and how are feeling about the surgery now?
If any of this is too personal I completely understand. Any info you wish to divulge is greatly appreciated
