jek555thank you to all ima just baby it and take plenty of supps and proper nutrition.
Achilles tendon = lengthy rest. Depending on what you've done to it, it's possible you need to stay off your feet as much as possible.
Been to doc? If not, get it checked. Don't go doing anything to make it worse until you've had it checked, you'll only slow the healing process.
looks like there's alot of good reviews on this(cissus quadrangularis) for joint/tendon injuries check it out! for the cheapest and most effective form of it I'd checkout supplementreview.com, I'm sure they'll have alot of great stuff on it.Also checkout ( http://www.livestrong.com/article/426776-supplements-for-achilles-tendon... )this site also has alot of great info (what you could use, why its effective etc) hope this helps!
jek555thanx a lot i will be sure to check it out
np bro
I've had an achilles injury. I could not wear boots and had to be easy on it for a couple months. Tendons seem to take forever to heal. I've also had problems with a tendon in my elbow for which I took cissus. I didn't think it would, but it really seemed to help. Sorry bro. Good luck with the recovery. Oh, and whatever you do, don't stretch it! It will really piss it off.
I completely ruptured mine 18 months ago. Had a great surgeon... never saw it coming. But now in hindsight I should have. Ask away any specific questions?
I have read that it is only not a painful problem but could take a long time to heal. Is it torn? That is no joke it can lay you up for months. My advice baby it, do absolutely nothing to make it worse. You are better babying it for month then blow it out, be layed up and physical therapy for 6 months.
jek555No nothing torn just feel a small pain in it when I press down with my toes where my heel and body start to raise that's when it hurts :/ any ideas?
This is one for a physical therapist to answer but me I would stay away from calfs for a while
^agreed (baby it) and do research on what vitamins your body needs for repair, thats what I did when I broke my arm and it helped me out a ton(I reseached what your body needs to generate scar-tissue).My elbow is still messed up and I take branch chain amino acids, vitamin E, K , calcium, and fishoil wih glucosomine and chondrotin. Hope this helps, good luck!
Great advice brother. And welcome aboard.
thanks!
Its messed up because I snapped the tendon against the bone lifting heavy and got 2 muscle fissures in my forearm. But the above viatmins are what I am currently taking to aid in my recovery.(just thought I'd clarify lol)
