+ 11 AAS Site or much much more...
So I wanted to remind everyone of something in Eroids past and even let members who were not part of this particular past in on a little secret.
It came up again yesterday in Gsleepy's new thread that Eroids is an AAS site and I like to flush those single minded thoughts out before they can spawn so let me take you all through a bit of Eroids history and reminder.
There was a time when Eroids was in fact "just an AAS site". Its a time I don't like to be reminded of because this site while informative was nothing like today and was truly destined to never grow up.
If you were here you will remember our old Mod Hollywood taking myself and a few others for getting off topic often to task. Most of the guys here , I say guys because we only had one female on site, basically bowed to H and hugged his nuts and went on with there day mouth shut. I didn't, not in my DNA. I sorta began getting on his nerves. Threats in public and private to ban me. My words , do it.
My thoughts were then as they were yesterday when I saw the nasty phrase come up again "this is an AAS site".....without our individual personalities we cannot grow as a community. In fact, we can't be a community at all. I fought a?ong with a few that joined me tooth and nail and the resolution with BFG was that "OFF TOPIC" was born. As it was H was still rolling around being H and wanting it to be tame and trying to police the off topic in a way thatg it was what "he" wanted. That of course was not happening while my tag did not have a BAN under it.
I poured a shit ton of time into this site to help it become a family of AAS users and a place where we could all have a say and all blossom as individuals and my work along with many others at least "helped" Eroids become what it is today.
This site was ok, it was a cool place for basic info but go back and look at it in its former days. IT WAS NOT THIS, THE GREAT PLACE YOU ARE ALL ADDICTED TO AS AM I. It was an AAS site and that's it....
Today, its a community based around an AAS site, don't get confused and if you had other thoughts...you have been corrected ; )
PS...H and I grew to respect one anothers boundaries later and actually got along very well. That's saying maybe more about me than him if you knew H. Lol

AnonNot happening. My concern is now and always will be empowering the consumer going forward. That is my focus currently, a focus which I completed abandoned because of H's presence a few weeks ago. I never would have been allowed to say what I plan on saying in future posts. This is/was my main issue. Having our voice taken away is exactly what this place doesn't need, people are fucking terrified to speak out against sources and why is that? Because they have no power - or don't know how to use the platform that is currently available rather…. and they would get destroyed for complaining because of the mentality of "this is amazon move on take the loss". This empowers the shitty sources and takes business away from the few guys who do things right. No it's not amazon, but that doesn't mean we should be getting 5% pure gear either. This is nothing personal against H that dude did great things for eroids but unfortunately the few negative things he did had a very negative impact. I think he meant well, he tried a new approach and it didn't work out shit happens we're all human. Noid is a prime example of how you can be cold cut and decisive without having an ego. It's not about being "nice" it's about being grounded Noid definitely doesn't pussyfoot around. Extremely happy to see him back even though he'll probably hate that I just praised his name lol.

Being a moderator isn't for the faint hearted. I've done the job on a different site and like Noid said it completely changes the way you view the place and the people involved.
Whilst I understand H rubbed a few people the wrong way, I thank him for his work here and wish him all the best. Hope he sticks around in whatever form that takes.

I've sworn myself off of contributing until Hllwd gets the plug pulled. But I saw this pop up and I can't help myself and since I come not as a nuthugger, but as an embassador for the good of Eroids. (That sounded pretty damn sexy didn't it?) I'll say what most everyone is thinking, and believe me, I've had a number of vets express the same feeling to me in my personal email.

What was the first thing he did? Banned Tread, yes a temp ban but he knew tread had too much pride to come back and hug hllwds nuts.
I'm an off topic guy and he started putting the squeeze on me the second he got in. I would post on a steroid related topic and he would bump it over to off topic, so I stuck to the off topic section and he eventually hit me with a ban to see if I'd come back and suck his cock. Not happening.
Eventually he knew if he disrespected me in off topic that I'd tell him to lick my balls and he could hit me with a ban.
I've expressed this to H in private and I realize it's probably a pain in the ass trying to keep order in a place like this but when the line gets crossed and a mod expects his nuts to be hugged for his own personal gratification eventually all you have left are the nuthuggers and little kids.
Go back two years ago and take a look at this place. It kicked ass. It was fun and there were some serious studs in the forums. (Holy shit kids, if you didn't get to experience the days of Vike in the trenches... Damn kids, you don't know what a soldier is. If you didn't experience the Velvet hammer of GRRL you don't know what it's like to have a boner and be scared at the same time. If you didn't see Nitti as his inner tren junkie, you don't know what a true tren Junkie is. If you never saw Goth verbally abuse someone so badly that you felt bad for that persons mommA, you don't know what intellectual abuse is. If you haven't reAd a GH post that was so damn in depth that you had to read it 15 times to understand it, you didn't know Tread.

There is no such thing as voluntary mutual respect in Hllwds world. He will respect Vike, Nitti, Bb, and BFG as long as he has to and that's it.

We have had some kick ass mods around here, we had Goth, GRRL, BB, Noid, Vike, GS, and Nitti, hell even BFG used to drop by for the fun.
They kept shit in order but they didn't have this complex that required the nuthugging, and they didn't have the vision of a hardcore AAS site. They knew that there is such a thing as having fun and building muscle. Hell Goth, GRRL, Vike, Nitti, and GS are some of my closest friends. I like to think that deep down Noid is my friend but he has no friends. If he did, surely I'd be his best one. If I was slightly cooler surely BB and BFG would be on the list too. I admit my dorkiness limits me there.
Well kids I'm rambling, my non-nuthugging surely will be my demise today, and I'm cool with that, because this place today isn't that place that I couldn't take shit without pulling my phone out to see what kind of awesomess is going on. Now it has become that place that I only look at when I take a shit..barely, even if that.

I remember reading this right after seeing a call that made no sense elsewhere ( wish I remembered so I could link but I don't ) from H and that was when I stopped logging on shortly thereafter. H slamming Nitti in the review section for no real reason and for what? Just to swing his dick around and shove his seniority in Nitti's face no mutual respect at least that's how I see it….. why I have no idea the review was perfectly detailed after the jokingly made comment of "this shit is fire yo" go find it for yourself. I am glad to see Nitti didn't change a damn thing though.
You can say what you want Nitti I understand you HAVE to take a position similar to the one you are now…. but I've seen H come in and piss all over your work more than once ( but never Viking's who also doesn't fuck people up without thinking or asking questions hmm ) and I'm NOT talking about in the SI where I had an issue either so don't even…. so many times I just shook my head wondering wtf I was even reading when it came to source-customer relations. In my head I think "The Drunken Hammer", since he would seemingly come into a room and throw it at someone practically at random sometimes no in-depth analysis or thought given to the decision. You guys just don't know H any further than the time he pissed you off. That entire sequence you posted from my review was a joke. A joke that I started by posting "Hollywood, don't flag my shit. I'm not done yet" in a review. I did that jokingly because to a regular member without Mod access it looked like there was a post with only a period in the reviews section. He played along and posted that while I finished my review. When a mod writes a review we do not have all the categories tht you all have like packing, shipping, cust service , product quality etc. We have a simple reply box which we have to post something then we can edit it after it's posted and have the proper format to complete a review. Anyway , point being that was totally orchestrated and pretty funny at the time. Unless someone already had a bad feeling about the guy.

I was here back when tread was active and I will say it has been a big loss not having him around , he was always a guy I could pm with any question no matter how small and he was there to help me. I don't know how he got out of line, but the way I take it today as far as hollywoods approach, is it comes off to me like he is being proactive . Seems like he and all the mods deal with a lot of bs , and seems like he puts the word out there that Getting out of line around here will not be tolerated . I guess it's easier to lay down the law publicly and hopefully save time chasing down a bunch of idiots all day long ..... I don't know what goes into being a mod, but like gearhead said most of us who are here for the right reasons don't ever seem to have run ins with the mods where getting banned is something we even have to worry about . I understand we have a bunch of juiced up people around here and conversations can get heated quick , I think being a guest here you have to respect the guys who run the show, just like you would if you were a guest in a bar or club or anywhere else. a lot of the big stuff that goes on on this site doesnt just happen, its reported, discussed, most of the time put on hold, different ideas come in from each MOD. new info shows up, new ideas of how to handle it, we discuss which MOD should deal with it and when it should be dealt with. Most of the stuff is green lighted by BFG before it happens. its not just im the lone wolf lets do this.
there has been tons of times I dealt with stuff, lots of source stuff, but it doesnt mean that im the one that figured it all out or came up with the idea. same thing goes with people like irish or in this case tread(as he was referenced) it was a collective decision.
its easy to sit out here and think you got it figured out but without actual knowledge of how the site operates you would never know. one of the first things I tell a new MOD when they get in the forum is this job is gonna change the way you look at the site. And trust me every MOD has said Holy shit this is not what i was expecting.
the friends you had as a member may not remain your friends once your a MOD, its just the way it is. Its not that i dont like people on this site, but from experience ive learned its best to keep to yourself.
so just keep in mind when pointing the finger, at least with the bigger stuff its probably not what you think.

I may be wrong or off my rocker, but the vast majority of us don't have "run-ins" with the site MODs. Like me, also, a lot of us are new - I just had my 1 year anniversary 7 days ago. I would never have guessed that Hllwd had any beliefs about this place being hardcore or that he was moving eroids in a hardcore direction. I can't think of anything here that is "hardcore." I guess, for me, it's pure newness and lack of exposure. I don't know what the past was, but today, you can't even post up a "big cycle" for review because the kids will probably copy it and get sick. I can understand that but the site certainly currently does not serve hardcore AAS users at all - anything like that is PM only and nothing in the open fora. I'm certainly not smart enough to have a solution for that either. The truth probably is that the hardcore users are such a minority it's not worth the accommodation. I never thought that Hllwd was capricious with the ban hammer from what little I have seen in 1 year but I certainly never had any interaction with him to form the kind of opinion you have.

I agree with this fully. If you follow the rules and act respectful, there is no reason why anyone should have a run in. That being said, there is a percentage of folks who have a difficult time doing these things and the MODs do a great job taking care of this element. Eroids would be a piece of crap without their efforts and we all know it. That's not "nut hugging", it's just a fact.
As far as Hllywd goes, he helped me several times before he was made Mod again and has helped me several times since. I found him to be a person with an abundance of knowledge and common sense, which seems to be a rare thing now days. I also always appreciated his straightforward manner, because you always knew where you stood. I hope we see and hear from him in the future.

I've got no problems with hllwd on a personal level, it's his method and vision. Yeah it's great to teach the forum that no one is beyond the ban but to Use a huge contributor like Tread is a horrible trade off.
