Suboxone testosterone suppression

ad

Hello everyone. I battled with addiction my whole life and was prescribed methadone, but recently switched to suboxone. Over the past 6 months I’ve gained weight, got tits, lost muscle, and have been training the same. Just realized I had hypogonadism about a month ago and have never driven faster to LabCorp. I have the test levels of a 70 year old at 22. Stay off hard drugs y’all. It’s never worth it. Discussing with my primary and endo about getting on trt to keep me functioning until I can wean of suboxone then restarting natural production once I’m off. Opinions? I don’t know what to do but cannot keep feeling this way. Having under 180 test is torture!!

Any of you guys have any experience with sublocade? It's an injection into the stomach fat once a month. Feels like fire going in and leaves a gnarly lump for well over a month at each injection site.

100 bucks says once the drugs are out of your system completely and you get back in shape your test levels will start going back to close to normal. One step at a time 22 year old. Your young enough to bounce back.

Been in the same boat man went through cancer got addicted to morphine and that sent me on a downward spiral at an early age where I was using heroine in an out of jail you know the story. Long story short I recently got released from prison I’ve got 2 years clean now I’ve redecorated myself to the gym and my diet. One of the biggest things for my recovery has been discipline from work, to the gym, to my diet. I keep a tight busy schedule and I push myself at work just as hard as I do in the gym. The minute I start slacking in the gym or in my diet or work is when I know I’m slowly creeping back to those old behaviors that have mean using again. Best of luck to you and your recovery. Stay on these forums it’s been a huge help for me to speak on my experience and your story will help someone else struggling in the Eroids community.

Damn bro...seems like theres so many of us on here with that same story. I got in a car accident broke my neck skull eye socket ribs cerebral spinal fluid leaking from the skull fracture into my sinus cavity. Got prescribed oxycodone dilaudid and morphine. One day over a year later doc said i can't give you these anymore without any real exit strategy. Went into real withdrawal for the first time and didn't know what it was. A friend told me to just keep taking the pills I had and I'd feel normal. One thing led to another and I was using using heroin. I didn't know that the opiates crushed your natural test until years later. Once I was off all the opiates I started using test and I felt a lot better.

Get off that stuff as fast as you possibly can man. I'm speaking from experience, and I've had 10 friends and family die of heroin overdoses in my short life so far. The doctors do and say things to keep you from getting off, it's such a shame the way they treat this drug. If you express a desire to wean yourself off they'll say a bunch of stuff about how "your receptors need time to heal, you aren't ready". They will literally never tell you you're ready unless you demand it from them. Even if you don't do a taper through them, cut the strips yourself and try to slowly take a percentage off each week. You'll be surprised how fast you can get down to 0.5mg per day and still feel fine, good even. Good luck brother, you can do it. Pm me if you ever want to talk

Love when they say oh you're just gonna relapse if you get off of it...fucking assholes

8mg a day is still a TON. My advice to you is to dispell any preconceived notions about what dose you need. Even whatever advice your doctor gave you. no one knows your body better than YOU. you definitely already get this as you realized their initial 16mg dose was way too high.
Wake up tomorrow and take half of what you think you need. Monitor yourself throughout the day and if you feel bad, take the other half, no harm done. But if you get to 11pm and you are surprised at how good you feel, then let that be your new normal. You will be very surprised at how little of that drug you truly need to keep the withdrawal symptoms away.

The shittiest part is if you taper with your doctor, they will charge you the exact same price for 30 1mg strips as they did for 30 8mg strips. If you are prescribed 8mg strips right now, in a month or 2 you could realistically be at the point of having 1 of those strips last you 2 weeks. And then that month prescription turns into a years supply.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt though. I don't know where you are on your recovery process, so if you actually need 8mg a day to keep yourself from going into the city and getting dope then by all means stay on the dose you're at. But if you want to lower your dose I'm here to tell you that it's very possible

He's only 22, a good doctor will get him off the opiate substitutes and his body will start to recover and test levels will rise back. As long as he takes the garbage he will never bou ce back I stopped my addiction cold turkey and have been sober for over 30 years. I didnt need trt until 25 years after my addiction because my body recovered.

Cocaine alcohol and when that wasn't enough it was brown sugar. I went cold turkey since I had no choice due to 5 years in prison. Eating healthy in there and detoxing in the worst way I'm sure I was tanked I was 110 pounds. After 6 months I started to get my shit together and by the time I was released I was 190 and 7%bf. I was massive. They offered me methadone and I turned it down. I knew if I did that I would never recover.I know not everyone is the same and people's circumstances are different but willpower has to be mental and keeping your brain occupied
