+ 1 Deca and the brain?

ad

Anyone intelligent enough to understand the research done on deca and it’s affects on the brain in terms of anxiety, and addiction? I had someone recently tell me deca changes the chemistry in your brain and makes serotonin decrease and anxiety and depression increase and can also make people more susceptible to drug addiction? I only ever used NPP which I would think would have a similar affect but I loved it but after trying to research a little of the studies it got me a little concerned.

Deca is a dna altering substance.
Every time we inject it it goes through a complicated process in our cells and cns to activate and start working in our system.
Its like a precursor its not active untill processed.
There is barely apart of our system that it doesnt affect.
Piturity, cells, receptors, organs, prostate, adrenal, liver, kidney, respitory, testes, sex hormones the list goes on.
Its also a cell hi jacker meaning it basically gets inside us and starts invading and occupying other cells that are already doing other jobs therefore causing confusion and shorted out electrical pathways.
It definatly affects chemicals in our brain, serotonin and dopamine being a couple but the dna altering functions also cause mental conditions due to other reasons such as cortisol and adrenal fatigue aswell as shut down.
Tren or deca ( nandrosomnia) is from cortisol.
The cough and respitory stress is carrier oils irritating capillarie ending causing itching and scratching then coughing.
Also the cardio sides are from imflammatory cytokines in respitory system you need cortico steroids like presidone to even out the proteins ratio so that theres more good ones than bad or atleast evened up numbers.
The cortisol can be handled fairly well with higher doses of vitamin c if your lucky.
My next tren run starting in september my zoloft will be doubled.

if you consider the nature of injectibles (hormones) yes they do change brain chemistry .. and I am with you, I am on the anxious end of the spectrum and deca has never given me any issues with anxiety.. eq on the other hand...

I loooove EQ ... I have anxiety issues so I find that pinning more frequently seems to keep everything more stable ... do I have my moments when the cycle starts and blood levels aren't the most stable .. yes, but like I said pinning more frequently seems to help out quite a bit.

kodiakGRRL's picture

good to know .. it seems like if I can keep it stable I can keep the anxiety at bay

kodiakGRRL's picture

alpha I am pinning every 3rd day .... I was trying to stretch it to 4 days but it seems like things are more stable pinning more frequently

Regular cycle time period are always great for me. It’s the low dose, months on end, joint relief that cause me issues.

I’ll look into it. Thanks.

I feel like superman when I run nandrolone. Tons of energy and a general sense of well-being.

vhman's picture

I used low dose deca for joint relief with my trt for months. I became paranoid and started to have anxiety. Things I NEVER had before. Once I stopped, they faded away and I haven’t had any similar feelings since.
Something I won’t be using again.

I was only using 80-100 a week. Didn’t start to see issues until after several months.

as is the case with testosterone and tren, deca in supraphysiological doses has been shown to be neuro toxic.
No surprise some suffer from anxiety.

^^^ this right here is the stuff people over look all the time

Right on!

I have always been anxiety prone which is why I don't want to take the risk with any 19-nors. However, I do use primo as a replacement when stacking compounds and I feel AMAZING. I don't want to have more anxiety and a dick not able to function lol.

Alot of steroids believe it or not will affect the brains chemistry in some way. Why else you believe Sarms were invented then? I even heard a podcast from AdvicesRadio with Dr. Stevenson explaining how a study with rats given trenbolone later in life developed Dementia.

I have heard alot of people claiming 19-nors do give them depression. I do agree as well it deff has to do with playing with your prolactin/Dopamine levels.

I am okay with my test and primo. Works great for me lol.

Deca never made me feel anxiety. Made me more confident. My dick didn’t work though.

That’s weird cause I’ve had anxiety my whole life and ptsd the past 3 years and I’ve used deca twice and when I’m on deca my ptsd and anxiety goes away deca makes me feel amazing

I agree brother. The best I’ve ever felt was on npp and I too have had bad anxiety all my life and I was happy and not anxious during my npp run

I don't think this is specific to Nandrolone, these drugs (AAS) helps you train harder and more than you could naturally (You recover also faster, so more training is possible ...). Even if you train clean but harder you are at risk to exhaust serotonin levels and thus you will lost your positive attitude, the desire to train ... and you can fell into a depression and it can takes days before the motivation comes again. That's why it is very important to understand that the recovery is not a waste of time, you must cycle to let your body the time its needs to refill what has been exhausted or you will crash. I know three AAS who have a fast action on my mood. Methandienone, which can gives me a positive feeling, Oxymetholone which can makes me sad and anxious, and Tren which can be makes me aggressive, there are certainly others. For the drug addiction, I have noticed that with testosterone I am more prone to take risk, so I feel less concerned by the consequences.

Wow, the first sentence was pretty brutal. Is anyone intelligent enough to research for you? I know the answer to your question but since I actually took the time to find it I won't share. Job security you know.
The answer is out there. Look for it. Anything in excess can possibly cause addiction especially drugs.

He said, "Is anyone intelligent enough to understand..."

Implying that he does not understand and is looking for clarification. I agree, it is poorly stated.
