Best Bloodwork Labs

ad

Looking / polling for best experiences from those who regularly do bloodwork independent of their HRT doc, PCP or clinic etc.

In the past I've generally either had mine done on site via HRT or at Quest (via MD referral). I'd like to investigate independent lab work that I can perform routinely - appreciate your inputs on who you've used and why.

Thanks.

The best depends on what your testing. If your running single panels you shop around. If your running combination panels like the female hormone panel or really any combo hormone panel then it's privatemdlabs if you like labcorp. Labsmd if you like Quest are running certain compounds and want testing in LC/MS. Both have a large selection of combo panels that we use.
I'll give you an example my Dr wants me to run CBC,CMP,lipid,PSA,Urinalysis Complete, b-12 and folate.
Checked walkinlabs, labsmd and privatemdlabs. Walkinlab came in at 197 after discount. Labsmd was 178. Privatemdlabs was 148 after discount (male deluxe checkup combo and added b-12 and folate). Result saved $ for 15 min of work. Point is privatemdlabs and labsmd have the cheapest combination tests but are not the cheapest on all single tests. Even when I looked up the single tests at privatemd it came in at 176.
Labcorp and Quest are the largest testing companies in the world.

Privatemdlabs uses labcorp. - Very good and good pricing. Make sure to get testosterone LC/MS-MS. If you use them and you’re on tren make sure to get estradiol sensitive. Their standard estradiol test will show a false positive if you’re on tren, but you’ll get a real reading if you get estradiol sensitive. Always have a 15% off code I’d you sign up for their newsletter.

Labsmd uses Quest - decent pricing, typically no coupon. no special instructions here. They test estradiol differently so no need for a special test if you’re on tren and if I remember correctly all of their testosterone tests are LC/MS-MS, so you don’t need to order it extra (I don’t think)

The standard is the female hormone panel, you can upgrade it and get different hormone panels depending on what you want to check and what you’re using.

I usually use Privatemdlabs.com who uses only Labcorp. I recently started using walkinlab.com they seem to be a little cheaper on most tests and you can choose either Labcorp or Quest as the lab. I was recommended by Dacky to switch over to Quest as there IGF1 testing is more accurate than labcorp. I actually went and got another IGF1 test done this morning at Quest only cost $59 from walkinlab.com hope this helps!

Thanks for the info on IGF-1 testing, I’m starting rHGH soon and while I’ll get my baseline done by my doctor I’m getting the on HGH results done myself.

Your welcome brother thats what were all here for to help each other progress. I'll order all my labs through walkinlab.com from now on just a little cheaper on the tests I choose and like I said Dacky told me Quests testing procedure is more accurate and I believe and take all his advice he's one of the smartest people I've had the pleasure communicating on this forum with.

Thanks! Which panels are you typically selecting? For PRIVATEMD seems like the Anabolic Steroid Panel is most comprehensive (and the priciest) but none seem to be absolutely complete?

They’re not, unless you want to spend the big bucks.
I did the female hormone test panel years ago to find out if I had low test before going to my dr. Covered the major ones, e2 and total test.

I’ve always used privatemdlabs.com
