+ 1 Leucine: Key to protein synthesis
I have been researching alot about protein synthesis (anabolism) and 1 thing that seems to be popping up alot in my research is the pivotal role that leucine seems to play in protein synthesis. What I am seeing is that for protein synthesis to occur the amount of leucine present in each meal you eat must pass a certain threshold. I have seen ranges from 3-9 grams of luecine must be present in your meal for anabolism to take place. This isn't 3-9 grams over the course of a day, it is for EACH meal if you want that anabolism to occur at that time. This amount should be relatively easy to maintain if you eat alot of protein and especially if you consume some BCAA's. I flavor most of my water with BCAA's now. Just an interesting tidbit of info I came across.

I've been taking bpi sports leucine agma for about 4 months now. I mix 2 scoops with a gallon of water every morning then off to work I go and I use one scoop as a preworkout. I noticed about 2 weeks in that my pumps would last longer. I also noticed it made my stomach feel "empty" more often which is a good thing for me.

yes sir, L-leucine and Beta Alinine are 2 things I buy in powder bulk. I add each to every meal except the alinine, that I take 3 times a day. It takes about 4 weeks to kick in but it makes my recovery time even lessand i exercise harder and longer. You only take 1/8 teaspoon 3 times a day. Research that, i am positive you will want to add that to your supplements.

Been taking beta-A for quite a while now. It has become one of my staple OTC supplements. For me it really seems to alleviate DOMS.
i add bcaa's whenever im at a calorie deficit. science says it works, but it sure ain't dbol. lol

That's an interesting read.. I usually only consume my BCAA's first thing in the morning pre and pwo and last thing before sleep... now I am thinking maybe have a BCAA cocktail to carry around with me during the day to consume at meals.
