So what is a fan boy or nut hugger exactly? It's a member who latches onto a particular sources nuts and thinks its his job to defend the source against other members who have concerns. I might be a new mod but I'm a senior member here. I've been here long enough to see the dangers of this shit. For starters, the source doesn't need you to stick up for them. If they are on top of their game, they'll handle the issues that come their way accordingly. If the have a quality customer service they'll reply to customer concerns. When someone places an order and expresses concern for whatever reason , these fan boys come crashing in and attack that member. IT AIN'T HAPPENING!! Everyone has the right to express concerns within reason. If you placed an order and had a good experience, fine, share it. But when some own else comes in and has a different opinion of the source, THEY ARE ALLOWED TO EXPRESS IT JUST LIKE YOU ARE! Nobody will Intimidate another member with concerns about a source. The supplier intro is set up for sources to interact with members. That's where they do their business. LET THEM FUCKIN DO IT!! There is a very real issue called "SELECTIVE SCAMMING". For those who don't know, it's when a source builds his rep, takes care of these fan boys (among others) and scams others out of their hard earned money knowing full well that these nut huggers will back them up and attack the complaining member. So now the guy has not only been waiting months for his pack, but now he doesn't want to inquire about it because he's worried about getting flamed. It's bullshit and I ain't havin it! Last time I'm saying this. EVERYONE has the right to share their experience, good or bad. Anyone who plans on attacking other members in the SI threads will be dealt with accordingly. Consider this your warning. This place is designed for members/customers to share knowledge and experience with each other. To protect each other from scamming. If you love your source so much ask him for a job. Or ask him if you can give him a hand job. I don't care. Just leave the people with issues alone. I know I'm not alone in my thinking. ALL THE MODS WILL BE WATCHING FOR THIS!!

Def are nuthuggers but too many people are too quick to freak out and jump the gun saying they got scammed or lodge complaints without even reading what the source says on their page upfront. Or even looking to check for updates on the source page if there is a temp issue they are dealing with. It’s been said over and over gains but this isn’t like your ordering from Amazon prime. I remember having to waiting 2 months sometimes or longer. Things hav gotten way better.

That happened to me. I criticized UGFreak on their discussion page, and the fanboys started insulting me and downvoting my comments. If you’re a customer—even in neutral situations—you have to side with other customers. Otherwise, businesses won’t improve in any area.

As you mentioned, the supplier intro is there for business purposes and should not be used as a platform for fanboys and nut huggers to tout their favorite source.

I think this is sage advice for many scenarios here. As a harm reduction site & a unique & amazing source of information & experience - there is a tendency among particular members to ostracize people (almost always someone new) and drive them away from the best wealth of support on the web. A little kindness & guidance is so much better than character assassination.

Gym buddy refuses to make himself known on eroids even though without it he would’ve never been able to figure out the inner workings. I’ve got him to make a profile but he was just fine with choosing top source and ordering. At some point I feel he’s obligated to atleast give something back. Same happened when I was directed here four months ago.

Good bump brother and you speak the truth. Many seem to forget the open and honest review is the backbone of this site. Those that take the time to write proper and considered reviews are helping us all to make informed choices. Sharing real world experience is what it's all about at the end of the day. Hopefully most get it and can recognise these fanboys for what they are and I know our mods do a great job patrolling the src review and comment forums and calling poor behaviour out all the time.

I think the anti-fanboy thing has gotten a little out of control with guys quick to shit all over a source even when he's making an effort to work things out. Yes the fanboys are annoying but I think both sides need to pipe down a little and let the source work it out, especially if it's a minor problem. Possibly underdosed var is nothing to get all worked up about. Repeat offenders are another story however...
And for the record I have never bought anything from the current source in question, actually I haven't bought anything from anyone in almost a year.

Yup there are some obvious shills that need to be exposed for sure but some of the stuff that gets called out as fanboying lately is just mostly new members that are a little overexcited that they actually got legit products.
Guys like pmob should be roasted. The shining example of a fanboy is probably Tuffguy. He would go down fighting for his favorite source to the point that it was totally embarrassing to watch.
On the flip side it seems like guys can't even talk about good products or good experiences with a source or they're gonna get labeled a fanboy. I wanna hear the good as well as the bad and I also wanna sit back and see how the sources handle their problems. It usually tells a lot as far as if they're gonna make it around here in the long run.
