Clomid only Cycle
It's my first post, so please, go easy on me.
It's now common for hypogonadal men to be prescribed Clomid in place of TRT to boost their testosterone or increase fertility.
Even though it's not going to give amazing results, it has been known to double Test levels. It looks like an attractive option for men looking to increase their own natural output as opposed to going the synthetic route.
So...
- Is anyone doing/done it here?
- Could Clomid plus an AI be an effective combo? (for low Test men)
- What's the worst that could happen?
Here's a study of 86 men on Clomid 50/25mg a day where "All mean testosterone and gonadotropin measurements significantly increased during treatment." and "There were no major side effects recorded".
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22044663
Also I've found a case where someone ran Clomid for "a few months" and reached over 1400 (but that's not reliable).

And this, Dr. Miller goes in deep:

P.S I'm not planning on running a Clomid cycle, I'm just curious and thought it would be a good topic of discussion.

AnonGod I don't want to imagine doing a Clomid only cycle. I respond so strongly to it; I'm a weepy bitch all the time. It works but fuck I hate it.
First post too but, derp?
RustyhookerNot a deep post at all tool. Our wise medical professionals in America advise this crap daily. Or the famous hcg for trt. Go scan the trt forums a few hours and maybe you too will learn something.
My endo put me on a clomid theropy for 8 weeks. My personal experience was horrible. I was emotional and at one point I threatened my endo with replacement if they didn't stop and returned me to my test cyp. They stopped and returned me to my Old script
What I'm saying is that a clomid only cycle will probably be a moody cycle. A lot of men tend to have emotional problems when on clomid.
hit the nail on the head, Clomid makes tren look like tap water where sides are concerned in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Although the results could be skewed (due to the test cyp), did you get before and after blood taken? any positives?
I was not on cyp while on clomid. It had cleared my system.
I recall 25mg per day put my test level around the mid 600s but I feel well around the 900.
My labs on cyp 150 are stable 860-905 depending when they draw blood.
The only positive was not pinning other than that not really. I had mostly a bad experience
GearofWarCouldn't a Proviron(Mesterelone) only "cycle" produce similar results as this Clomid "cycle"? I've used Proviron as my only AI on a few cycles in the past to great success..Just good for thought here..
RustyhookerNo. Members tested it and bloods showed suppressive shutdown. They had to then pct. No added bonus.
GearofWarThanks for the knowledge Rusty. Was there a thread dedicated to this that you could PM me? If not no biggie. Sorry for the thread jack OP. I guess the androgen saturation effect of the Provi was too great huh?
RustyhookerIt was posted in bloods section by 2 members couple years back. We should have asked it to be stickied or added to the provi stickie. Member cycled and pct, then ran just provi. Bloods ran prior to provi and post. Clearly lowered test and shutdown.
Couple other members ran provi into the pct to see if free test helped. End of pct still shut down and re ran pct.
So we've been advising to run provi only during cycle. The ideas of provi during pct and after we're based on the trt guys blood tests and medically supervised hrt. On trt many guys could run their weekly dose lower with 25 mg provi added because the free test raised. More bang for less oil. Non trt folks, not so much.
GearofWarAgain, awesome info especially seeing as how I'm an "old bastard" and on TRT myself so once again this info is incredibly relevant to me. I have some Provi coming in the mail from a reputable source to supplement my upcoming cycle but it's good to know I can use it to stretch my prescription Pfizer brand Cyp. Thanks Rusty
RustyhookerCheck and post your bloods after few weeks with provi. The old posts showed 25 was plenty for trt guys but it will give you a clear picture of how y our body processes.
I'm curious myself. I still pct but at 44 I know trt is coming. Taking all the info posted will make easier transition for me as well as others. Maybe do full report on pre provi with bloods and post provi with bloods. Make it into a stickie in trt section
GearofWarDefinitely something I'd be willing to do after this Tren/Sust run. Those compounds should arrive no later than another 2 weeks barring a seized pack or error on the shippers end. I can tell you that I KNOW my cycle always "feels" better when I have Provi on-hand and run it throughout. It's certainly my favorite ancillary compound without a doubt. Provi and Equipoise anyways. No Eq this time though. Wanted to focus on simplicity and quality gains. 4 weeks of a Dbol kick and then it's all the Tren doing the heavy lifting so to speak, with relatively low Test augmented with the Provi.
RustyhookerJust finished sust eq run. 3 more weeks taper. The provi was and is well worth it. It's something that does stand out.
Looking forward to your findings!!
Woops sorry fat thumb! +1
no need for that!
Sorry, I've seen people get torrents of abuse on forums for suggesting Clomid. People here seem a bit more open minded.
I did bloods during the 4th week of PCT once, my test level was double my baseline number.
Clomid is currently prescribed for low t men, and many see decent results.... but not everyone.
I think the worst case scenario is your typical clomid sides, acne, blurred vision, weird emotions, etc.
Yeah I've heard about those possible sides, they are low risk though.
Clomid will raise estrogen levels, so it could have possible Gyno effect too. Maybe.
Clomid works if your "thermostat" (pituitary gland) is broken not for hypogonadal issues (failure of the testes to produce sperm)
I don't believe you'll be able to get your T levels up higher than what would be a "normal" range (around 600).
Ah right, that makes sense, I've read about it being used for hypogonadal men though. Check the links in my post (I edited it).
That's not really a cycle.. ive known trt patients to run aggressive pcts with Hcg/hmg/triptorelin as an attempt to get their levels back to normal range.
6'2" - 185lbs - 25 years old
Are you using any AAS at this point?
Nope, I'm planning my first cycle. But I'm in no rush, just weighing up my options.
Do you have low t, or any reason to try this? Also I have to mention your a bit light for 6'2".
Have you had any blood tests ran?
I believe I do have low T for a number of reasons. I've had tests and I'm actually getting my results back today.
I've always been deceivingly light for my size and shape, might be due to my long thin legs.
RustyhookerPost your results. Long thin legs isn't a sign of low t. Could be lack of gym or genetics. Clomid itself has side effects.
To get my results I had to call the Doctors. All I got was a dull receptionist tell me that my tests came back and there's nothing wrong, everything is normal... So I asked if they could email me the results, she got confused and said she can only print them out.
And I did the test first thing in the morning... so all that tells me is that I have at least 200 ng/dL of testosterone in the morning ...great! :/
I still think I just have bellow average T. I’ve been training for the past 5 years and progress is slow in comparison with my friends.
I only mentioned my long skinny legs because my light weight was mentioned by @Justanotherguy (I’m actually a bit over 190lb now).
