Description

Early 40's 5'9 185 lbs
Tat covered on left leg. Posing is definetly harder then it sounds. Goal-- is to join this competition to learn and give me that extra push to get back to where i used to be last summer.. i really messed up this winter.

thankyou, thankyou for your kinds words and helpful hints on how to better myself.. i know first hand there are people who just listen to listen AND us that listen to LEARN.
The ebc might be over for some but for me im taking what i learned and taking the helpful constructive criticism that i asked for AND IM GONA USE IT. For now and forever..
Also if someone has any helpful hints that werent already said PM ME at anytime and inwould love to listen and learn and achieve.. i have started legs 2 times aweek lol

Man you did phenomenal! That core really came in so nice! Dude the only thing anyone can nitpick about is the legs. Proportion wise, they are just underdeveloped. Make them a priority for growth. And that's it, otherwise man, you killed this cut! Very good job bro!

Im no pro. Just my 2 cents would be

  1. Practicing posing regularly ( it develops your mind to muscle connection thus giving you a chance at better development when you are training)

  2. Slightly bigger in the legs, you seem to carry that physique/classic physique look pretty well. (They pose differently check those out as well)

  3. Keep doing what you've been doing your cut was amazing, so the strict dieting and cardio you got that nailed.

I agree with beard and rusty on proportion but also deciding which direction to go. Either way you did great, killer abs!!

A judge once told me "it doesnt matter how good you look if you cant present it. The guy who doesnt look as good but can out pose you could take it from you"

Tightened up nicely all over, for improvement I’d look to add size to your lower half to keep everything proportional. Lots of room to add some size there.

For legs some guys will say heavy weight but I believe those will be more gifted guys genetically. I am a firm believer in 20 rep sets for legs. I split mine so 1 hour of hamstrings and glutes on Tuesday and one hour of quads on Thursday with some calf work as needed. If it doesn’t hurt to walk or sit on a toilet then you have failed yourself.

Controlled heavy reps to failure around 15-18 reps and squeezing out to get to 20 should be the goal.

Here’s my layout then:
Hams/glutes
Leg press 5-7 sets of 20 reps going up in weight each set, feet at the top of the platform driving through your heals to isolate the hamstrings
Laying hamstring curls 5-7 sets of 20 reps
Good mornings on the Roman horse 5 sets of 20 reps (back hyperextensions)
Lunges to failure

Quads
Leg press 5-7 sets of 20 reps going up in weight each set, feet at the bottom of the platform driving through your toes to isolate the quads
Quad extensions 5-7 sets of 20 reps
Lunges to failure

Adductor or abductor work if needed, lunges performed with offset weight to increase stability and knee health. It looks simple but you attack your sets with the right intensity and you will absolutely be in pain. I get so pumped I can’t bend my legs and sometimes black out towards the end of the workout.

Watch blood and guts to get pumped and get fucking nasty.

You asked about better on main forum. Youre leaned out so its literally where do YOU wanna go? Add a lil extra calories and add mass? Pickup a lil on weak spots? You look better than college beach dudes so...its really up to you

Im all about positive but also have to hear how to better myself.. i definetly saw alittle improvements in legs and have ALONG WAY to go with them.. im here to try my best and LEARN LEARN .. so anything else people have i can take listening and definetly if they have something to say if they could also add a helpful hint on how to abtain that Look Thanks everybody

Im going to get legs back up to par. Heavy sets of 15reps x 6sets. Drops etc. Balance out the lower half. Lot more hip sled and hack squats

i needed to get leaner still. if it wasnt such a busy time i would have been doing some fasted cardio in the morning. overall bro i feel we both did great. there is some tough competition that came in the last couple days. some of these guys are on another level lol. i need to get tips from them on how to really get that BF low. I think this is probably the lowest ive been and still isn't close to some of these guys lol.

I'm working on it. Had 3 McDonald breakfast sandwiches, 2 hashbrowns, 1 microwavable frozen lasagna, and a bottle of vegetable juice this morning. Drinking my pre-workout right now which is just coffee while I read and adsorb some of that knowledge. Then I'm gonna turn up the music and lift the weights that are laying all over my living room floor and eat eat and eat some more.

Im not sure about all that kinda food. But do whatever works for you..
Im more of a 1 cup oatmeal with tablesppon or more peanutbutter add a blueberries/apple and then mix in 1 scoop chocolate protein powder. Then my 1 cup eggwhite omlette with 2oz deli turkey no cheese
