Body Recomp at 45
I wanted to share some of my transformation journey especially for someone reading this in their 40s. A late in life body recomp is possible.
When I started out this journey back in January, I was sitting at 296 pounds. I had been larger my entire life, but with the help of Reta titrated up to 8mg weekly and TRT at 200mg weekly, I managed to get down to 250 pounds without losing a lot of muscle mass, while my body fat percentage went from the 40s down to 24.7%.
When I got to 250lb, I bumped up my test to 400 mg and added 250 mg of deca and 2 IU of HGH. I also dropped Reta down to 2 mg weekly. This protocol paid off in a massive way.
My strength skyrocketed. I started off benching about 175 and I can now bench 315 pounds, and it just feels great.
I have lost weight many times through mostly cardio, but I dont like being small, plus it was unsustainable because I feel like I lost most of my muscle mass. For a long time, I thought you had to choose between getting smaller or getting stronger, but seeing both happen simultaneously has been an absolute game changer. I look better and feel better than I have most of my life, and I feel like I am just getting started.
Now, I am dropping down to a cruise dose of testosterone for a few months and focusing heavily on cardio and cutting so I can get healthy and ready for my next cycle. It is just so much fun working hard and seeing results. I crave going to the gym now and love the high protein healthy diet.
A huge thank you to UGFreak and ParaPharma for being a part of this transformation!
I have no clue why the cycle shows up below like it does. I have no way to change it on my end.
