Well....most of the cattle butchers burned down mysterious style. Same with chickens. Then some funky worm from south America killing more....

I’ve personally found Legion to be very reasonable and very high quality. Grass fed and standard options with a great selection of flavors. Cinnamon cereal is my favorite, it tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

They have frequent bogo 50% or bogo 75%. And a point reward system. Their snacks are pretty good too. I found the protein bars to be a bit hard but they taste really good.

But now I have 20 god damn pounds of vanilla >Biggrin

I think this is the perfect place to compare and complain about protein prices. A steroid source forum where you have sources in other countries who might not think about things like this. And now it's right here for them to see. So when the prices of test go up in the next however long. Nobody complain.

Are you serious?

Mikeyt84LINY's picture

Did i type that in a way that it would be taken as a joke?
Or sarcasm? Of course I'm serious. Though i know I'm just wasting my time typing that which is why i usually don't bother. Sources could use this forum and really get a feel of the vibes from the domestic US average joe community by the things that are posted right here. Most of it is just parroted information from social media, Google, and maybe some other forums where there's a different level of I'll say awareness and knowledge.
Though there's some dudes in here that know allot like chemist knowledge I'll leave it at thar. They usually don't post much though cuz is irritating to some the ignorance that can be seen sometimes. I know this will probably but hurt allot of people i hope not cuz in really just trying to point things out from a diff angle. Though at the same time people have come to feel at home on this forum and comradery so there's also a attitude of why do we have to watch what we say on our forum. I get that too.
Ahhhh fuck it.. I'm gonna post this anyway but i really could give a fuck less either way. God bless America

My mom actually just passed away last April from glioblastoma.. found out in October 2023, i told you all about it. That's when she had the first of 3 brain surgeries during that time removing tumors. fucking fucked up to watch her fade over a year man. Honestly still feels like it ain't real. It feels like it was last month can't believe it's been over a year. That's the reason i stopped coming on.
My dad was there with her the whole time and didn't leave the hospital or hospice. He goes to the cemetery every day after work still. He put a wine bottle in the ground upside down with the top off and sits there drinking so it's they're drinking together.

It’s interesting that the price for a vial of UGL test hasn’t changed much in the last 20 years, even with inflation and raw prices going up astronomically

The price is insane right now. You got the glp-1 peeps and then all the others on tik tok pushing high protein so it seems like everyones got a damn protein shake these days. If you wanna see how marked up it is find it on clearance at HEB, kroger and vitamin shoppe. A $50 tub of protein powder be like $12 so i stock up when i see it. Its almost like tren and primo were last year. Tik tok blew both of those up. There was like 6 months where i couldnt find either and almost depleted my stock

I'm back to just whole foods now, glp craze and junk food companies putting protein in everything ruined it. Lean ground beef, ground chicken, eggs, egg whites and Greek yogurt.

I went to buy whey on amazon the other day and it was up $30 from my last purchase a few months ago. I went with true nutrition because they have a discount code for the first purchase and you get extra discounts for a subscription and buying bulk. I’ll be using less why and more chicken breast in the future. I’m also a big fan of casein which doesn’t seem to have been affected as much.

Ghost protein flavors are over rated IMO, but if you order from their website and sign up for autoship, you get 25% off. And at least you know with Ghost the quality is there. They only have two flavors in 5lb tubs, but its a good deal if youre not picky

I was ordering 5lb tubs direct from Nutricost’s website with 40% off code on a $100 tub ($60). Now a couple weeks ago they upped their price to $130 and all I could find was a 30% off code ($91). Shit is crazy.

No Costco near me, but we have a Sam’s. Maybe I’ll check there and use a buddy’s membership card.

Supply and demand. There is no conspiracy. There are flavorless whey sodas, protein lattes at Starbucks, and all kinds of other creative ways companies are adding whey to meet the demand. It is in large part due to the GLP-1 revolution that is occurring.

press1's picture

TRUTH!!! When I look through the Protein website I use, next to virtually every product it says GLP-1 friendly.

I also think that Protein Companies are taking Advantage of people too - they know how much people now desire their products so they slowly inch their prices up and up, normally by just £1 over here so that customers don't notice as much. They keep upping them to see how much people are truly willing to pay - then when they see a drop in sales they settle the price of a product around that level for 6 months.

RoidyRousey's picture

Costco (optimum bag) is how we go. $75 a bag here in Idaho.

press1's picture

When you add up the cost of Steroids, Gym memberships, Protein supplements, Cycle support supplements you realise this is truly not a cheap hobby or sport to do. I spend hundreds every month. Gone are the days of training natty at home and drinking a pint of milk after training LMAO

It’s definitely our biggest financial expenditure but we’re much healthier than when weed and alcohol were our biggest expenses. We’re much happier and much more productive too. We wasted so much time. I wish we got our heads out of our asses like 10 years ago haha.

My pimp said it was $5?? Wtf

Same here. Just paid $80 for bloods, (undisclosed amount) for more gear/peps, have a cart full of pinning supplies. Adds up in a hurry.

Testosterone is literally the cheapest link in the chain. The fucking food is probably the most expensive.

Norblin's picture

Costco has optimum nutrition bag that has 80 servings for less than 70$. I saw the same bag at a nutrition store for 200..

damage33's picture

It's the same in Italy. I've been buying 5 kg of protein from the same website for years. Back in January I paid €80 for them, but now I had to buy only 2.5 kg for €70 because they've become way too expensive.

Please do not rely on a protein supplements.

To answer your question , private equity in concert with major corporations has moved in on the Whey Protein space.
So price has skyrocketed while quality has plummeted.
Just eat food bro.
