+ 1 HGH and Lyme disease

ad

I have been on here for a while and appreciate all the knowledge here. Im 60 years old, 6'2' and 205 lbs with less than 15% body fat. I have chronic Lyme which has affected my Thyroid (hyperthyroidism) and my pituitary gland. My IGF is currently at 53. I am on TRT as well, so everything I get is from a doctor. IM on 100mg of test cyp and my levels are around 1100. I have tried 3 months of TB500/BPC157, that didn't work so I'm just wrapping up 3 months of Sermorelin that did not help. The next step would be HGH / Somatropin but Im not sure about it. Its very expensive and I would hate to spend all that money and not have it work. If anyone has any experience they could share I would appreciate it before I go to my TRT doc next week. If you have a good source for HGH please feel free to DM me. Thank you in advance for any help, I feel like Im swimming with concrete boots, killing my self in the gym and losing ground. Thank you

You don't mention how your thyroid issue was resolved, Iodine, surgery? Are you now on syn to balance your Ts. Personally, I have mixed feelings about Endos. I prefer one and done over let's see you every three months for no reason at all. I was diagnosed as hypo because my TSH was a bit high. Put me on syn and made me feel lethargic. Checked my tests and all my Ts were spot on and only my TSH was off. I got off that crap and feel great. Now my brother was hyper. Told him it may be cancer after the iodine failed. I checked his labs and I saw no indication of cancer. Doctor was pretty open to removing the nodule with half his thyroid. Turned out the biopsy was negative. He now leads a normal happy life. I tell you this hoping you will understand that you need to balance your hormones before trying different compounds that may confuse your doctor. Maybe make a list of what has been done for your thyroid issue. Sometimes a boost in test can lower your IGF. The pituitary gland system is still a complete mystery as one size does not fit all. I understand your frustration, but can you please explain your problem in more complex way than concrete boots? You are lucky that you are allowed to have a 1100 test level at your age, take that as a win!

I haven't resolved my thyroid or IGF issue, I'm trying to do that now. TRT did not drop my IGF, I have been on TRT for 10 years now and my IGF was fine until a couple years ago when the Lyme was diagnosed. I don't trust endos either, I know more about anabolics and HGH then they do and I don't trust holistic docs as they don't approve of anything we do. I'm busting my ass in the gym but with no growth hormone production its useless. I usually run around 225 lbs but I cant get past 205 now. At my age I don't want to be a mass monster but I don't want to look like a runner either.

It's your life. I have labs for the past 35 years as long with my lifestyle notes for the proceeding weeks. I know it sounds dramatic but very important as I am my own trainer. I think you have solved your own problem. Busting your ass in the gym when you have a very high metabolism is taking you in the wrong direction. Eat more, move less! Go back to basics with your diet. Add raw eggs in the morning and cottage cheese before bed. Protein powders have become a joke since we lost the ATW brand. Sleep is your friend! HGH is a long-time solution and not as expensive as you imply. 2iu before bed is fine for most people. I think you would also like to add 2iu after training. This along with cottage cheese and a nap may slowly get you back to your old self. I still hope you get full labs including hormone and thyroid panels. Our lifestyle recks havoc on are organs, joints, tendons and heart. Ice baths are great for inflammation. What you don't see will kill you before the obvious. You have been dealt a bad hand, and I wish the best of luck in resolving your issues.

Thank you brother. I do get my labs every 3 to 6 months and have been watching the growth hormone numbers drop every time.
