Anyone have these sides with Semaglutide?

ad

I started Semaglutide over a month ago started at 0.25mg or 250mcg for the first 4 weeks and now this is my second week at 0.50mg or 500mcg and I am having the worst stomach pains and nausea. I always feel like I'm gonna get sick even though I don't my stomach always hurts and I mean the appetite suppression was almost immediate. Food doesn't even sound good, nothing does and I can only eat very small amounts at a time before feeling sickly full. But it has made me not even want to eat. I know some people have had similar symptoms, but does it get better? Or is it not normal to have this much stomach pain 6 weeks in. Just wondering if you have gone through the same with Semaglutide or have any advice on how to mitigate the symptoms cause it's terrible. It's like the most uncomfortable feeling and it's constant 24/7.. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have done some research that says up to 44% of people had similar side effects on Sema but this seems to have lasted pretty long and it's pretty bad. And I am not even close to the dose most people get to.

Thanks for taking the time to read or reply. Cheers.

Reta is not gonna blunt hunger like sema or tirz but I think it’s overall 10x better in terms of benefits

When my wife was on sema she had to split her dose, she only went up to 500mcg a week and she did 250mcg monday morning and 250mcg Thursday evening, she tried 500mcg all at once and was having the same issue with nausea and stomach pains and was having to force herself to eat anything at all. After splitting the dose she still had a little nausea on injection days but she said it was much more manageable and no stomach pains and she was actually able to eat.

It's crazy because the dose that you are supposed to end up at after titrating up is 2.5mg and I can't imagine doing that much. But that's not a bad idea because it wasn't near as bad at .25mg.

UncleYoked's picture

Move to Reta, aside from the massively reduced side effects, it has a lot of secondary benefits to it. I don't even want to stock sema anymore, i just don't feel comfortable with it. Eli Lilly doesn't want us stocking Reta but they can eat a dick.

TheOGof93's picture

Of course they don't lol. Why would they, they don't want anyone to stock it other than them lol. But yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to stock it. Honestly, I wanted to go the Reta route to begin with but it was so expensive especially when you're starting at 2 mg and going up to 10-12mg per week. With the cost of Reta that will end up being a shitload of money every month. Even places I can get 300mg for 225$ isn't gonna last long once you're up to 8-10mg per week and my wife wants to get on it too. But the places in the US want like 100$ for one 5mg vial that's like one week worth at a lower dose. That's ridiculous.. wayyyyy overpriced. I don't know how anyone could afford to be on Reta at prices like that.

Petecastiglione's picture

Fuck them hoes. We in Merica we will stock as we please. But yea I wouldn’t even offer sema tbh it’s a dumb compound at this point

Reta is the king of peptides and did wonders for me. Get huge stock piles of that shit, it's Gold.

That's what I am hearing from everyone, if I could find it for a good enough price then I would definitely be stockpiling that shit, especially cause my wife wants on it too. But at the domestic prices it's laughable, even international is pretty spendy when you think about it, when your dose gets up to 8-10-12mg per week. It wouldn't even be possible for me to get it here. not when places are charging 100$ for one 5mg vial and 170$ for one 10mg vial. That shit is highway robbery.

Im on reta my wife is on triz. Trizepatide fucks her up badly she was hospitalized 3 times for stomach pains and constantly sick. Reta works great for me zero sides at all love the stuff I lost like 60 pounds on it as well she lost 120lbs of triz.

TheOGof93's picture

Right on! good for you guys on the weight loss, but yeah I have heard Tirz isn't even near as bad as Sema. I am a pretty tough dude who doesn't complain about pain but this shit is extremely uncomfortable and hurts and I am only on the first dose titration up.I am sorry to hear your wife had such a hard time though boss. I hope she is doing better!

My wife still eats on Reta on Tirzepatide she couldn’t eat much so yeah

Dump the Sema. It’s side city. My wife used Sema back when it was bigger and she was feeling awful. Goes on Reta for a little and she feels phenomenal

Trize is a little less, then Reta has 0. It’s wild how each new drug they have gotten the sides down. Plus Reta has a ton more benefits.

Yeah I wanted to start with that but its so much more expensive and you need a higher dose. So you're paying 5 times as much for 5 times less product. Which is tough for me right now. But I think I might have to try it or tirz, and see whats up. And yeah this isn't fun at all. Feel like dog shit.

liverpool_96's picture

It's not as expensive as you think. Starting dose at .5mg from experience is perfect. There are loads of sources here so do some digging and I'm sure you'll be surprised. Smile

TheOGof93's picture

Everyone I have talked to has said that .5 Reta isn't even close to enough. Most people I know have said and are on and all of the actual data studies and testing shows that the best weight loss happens at 10-12mg. and starting is supposed to be at minimum 2mg. at least for Reta. Tirz goes up to 15mg per week.

Nothing is worth being nauseous like that, if it is that bad I would stop and rest your body. I’m on the same dose of Reta and only had nausea for a few days and subsided.

It almost is starting to feel like that, but I don't wanna restart from square one if I'm almost over the hump, ya know? I mean everything I have read says that nausea is very common especially with Sema and especially when you go up on your dose which I just did. But it seems like it would subside after awhile or at least I read that it should, but then read somewhere else that it can take 8-12 weeks for your body to adjust to it. I have read so many different things that I just wanted to see if I could get some actual info from people who have taken it or are taken it and who I trust to post accurate information. One reason I love this community so much.

Aggieguy's picture

You will not be starting from square one if you quit and start Retatrutide. This stuff is not steroids, if you are having symptoms thats what I would do, stop the semaglutide.

TheOGof93's picture

For sure, it's just the price difference is insane. and you need a much higher dose of reta. And as far as i read the symptoms and sides are normal and supposed to subside but I feel like they should have already. Appreciate the info!

Aggieguy's picture

You do not need a lot higher dose of Reta! I lost 50lbs on 3mg a week in 4 months. It works in the background and you don’t really notice unless you weigh yourself once a week.

TheOGof93's picture

Huh, it must be either different for everyone or the quality might be different. So many people I know on Reta said they didn't really start shedding weight until they got to 6-8mg a week on Reta and that starting dose should be like 2mg at the lowest. And everything I have read on the actual research studies have shown that the best weight loss on Reta happens from 8-12mg per week. So Idk I guess I just need to see how my body does on it.

Aggieguy's picture

Phase 3 study suggests 5-8 mg is peak, around 12mg they started to get sides like sensitive skin. Just see how your body works on it. For me 3mg did just fine but also I never tried any other GLP-1 so maybe thats why.
