Protection during a steroid cycle
ad
Hello everyone
How do you take care of your kidneys, liver and heart during your cycle? What should you pay special attention to during a cycle with Trenbolone and Boldenone? what supplements do you use? Thanks in advance for all replies

TBH between those 2 compounds you are affecting all 3 of those organs, the limiting factor will always be how big a dose you are running of them and for how long. Trenbolone affects the Kidneys, Heart and Liver and E.Q affects the kidneys and to a certain extent the heart because of the effects it has on your Blood. Everyone has mentioned some great supplements below that can help with limiting stress on the kidneys and liver. I personally think that Trenbolone is probably the worst steroid for the Heart for many reasons, and can leave lasting effects too if you use it too much. Something that I notice and many past heavy users comment on also, is the fact that once you have done numerous Trenbolone cycles it seems to permanently raise your resting Heart rate between 5 to 10 beats per minute resulting in slight Tachycardia. For sure it thickens the walls and can cause LVH in the left chamber resulting in a lower ejection fraction, its also a bugger for raising BP which means you pretty much have to run a BP med to bring this down - some also use Beta blockers to reduce the increase in heart rate.
When I was younger on here and loved running Trenbolone primarily for the great strength increases it gives, I would often see all of the older and wiser guys on here saying to members that you only have any reason to use the compound if you are planning to step on stage or compete in powerlifting - then the trade off against your health you could argue is more justified. When I saw them saying this I would think they were just boring old farts acting like Killjoys, but they were right. Always ask yourself is it really worth running this stuff for the very temporary benefits I only get whilst on it because it simply is not sustainable for long periods of time - and more importantly are you fine with being left of the damaging after effects of it when you are no longer lifting or in shape, because those things stick with you forever.
Spot on. Leave the tren to the guys steeping on stage. Ideally those who have a good shot of competing at a high level. Plenty of “safer” alternatives for us non competitive gym rats.
For your heart and cardiovascular system: keep your BP in check. Take BP meds if necessary. Even short time way above normal is bad. Telmisartan is a good BP drug and has alot of benefits for your heart while on gear.
Don’t let your hematocrit/hemoglobin or RBC get too high. Thick blood is harder to pump putting strain on your cardiovascular system. Daily cardio is good for keeping that in check, and proper hydration. There’s some supplements as well.
Keep your cholesterol in check. I’ve seen tren wreak havoc on cholesterol in short order. From normal total to 400+ in like a month or two. Orals are bad for lipids as well. All steroids affect cholesterol to some extent. Really best to avoid statins, and if you can’t keep your cholesterol near normal without them you probably should choose different compounds that aren’t as harsh. But red yeast rice, the real stuff, plus policansol and Coq10 knocked like 100 points off my total in 6-8 weeks. RYR is a natural statin but the muscle cramps were brutal. I had to drop it. I’ve since added citrus bergamot and continued with the coq10 and policansol. Plus fish oil but everyone should be taking that.
You should really get a cardio workout done every so often. Ideally once a year or two. Then you’ll know Forsure if your heart is being effected. Some people have no issues, others do. But the heart problems are definitely the most serious side effect from gear. I would guess that if you told your doc your family has a history of heart problems from a young age you’d have no problem getting a yearly cardio workup, covered by insurance. Get a CT done with calcium score to see if you have any buildup in your arteries. Depending on the results of that you may want to avoid all steroids that are known to be really harsh on lipids.
For kidneys drink a lot of water, don’t let BP get high. High BP is a fast way to destroy your kidneys.
For Liver use NAC, TUDCA and milk thistle. And lots of water.
I second this.
Ranger3252Also, blood donations and bloodwork are probably your number 1 protection during cycles on and off.
If your hematocrit or RBCs are high, then it’s a short term fix. You don’t want to donate for no reason. Even if necessary it’s still too easy to crash your ferratin and you will feel like shit for 6 months. Best to avoid donating if possible and keep those things in check another way.
Great question. The best thing you can do to protect your kidneys is control your blood pressure. As some have already commented, a good blood pressure med is very important. Personally, I like Ramipril or Telmisartan. With respect to heart health, a good omega-3 supplement is important for the purpose of keeping lipids in check. I think Omegalyze by Species Nutrition is very good for this. The cardiologist I see recommends CoQ10, specifically, ubiquinol as it is more bioavailable than the other form, ubiquinone. For liver health, TUDCA is the GOAT in my opinion. My liver enzymes have always been perfect while running TUDCA, even when I was utilizing orals as part of a cycle. If you have one close by, I would also advise getting your hemoglobin checked periodically at a blood donation center. If it gets too high, donate. I know some guys on here will disagree with that, but it’s the only way I have found to keep hemoglobin and hematocrit in check while running EQ or DECA.
Ranger3252This is my daily support regiment
Sup fellow polak,
Get some astragalus root extract, throw 3-6g in a smoothie or shake.
NAC I take 1500mg daily but for EQ and Tren im thinking look into injectable glutathione for the real thing.
Tudca, I take 500mg when not using orals and bump up to 2000mg when using.
3g of quality fish oil, meaning you want to see at least 3g total of EPA and DHA you'll likely have to take 6g+ total to hit those numbers.
600mg citrus Bergamot twice daily.
Fuck ton of water for that EQ
If you're into more medication side, having some Telmisartan for the obvious BP raise thats going to come. I like to have some pitavastatin and bempedoic acid on standby as well for the lipids.
This what I currently use. I tweak it sometimes. Also condoms.

I pull my bloods every 3-4 months to make sure I’m not about to die either.
Same but add citrus bergamot.
If its low / mid dose cycle of 19 nor, I add P5P > Generic B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) for prolactin management. It can handle up to about 300mg a week of NPP for me.
