Can I build muscle and lose fat at the same time on only 150mg?

Currently 8 weeks into my 150mg/week TRT regimen. Never been on any other ped in my life. I got on because of low T, low libido, plus just being tired and exhausted all the time.

I’m getting a bit puffy from my bulk right now so gonna start doing a bit of cardio. Can I build muscle and lose fat at the same time because of the TRT? I want to keep putting on size but I am also getting a bit fat.

5’9 185 lbs
475 g carbs , 200g protein, 75g fat training days
250g carbs, 200g protein, 85g fat non training days

Being able to lose fat and gain muscle is more a product of how extreme your energy reserves are. If you’re fat, then yes you can build muscle while being in a slight caloric deficit.

There isn’t a drug out there that can make you lose fat and gain muscle while in a caloric surplus. That’s simply not how the body operates from a thermodynamic standpoint.

To do this successfully you have to really, and I mean really, be on top of your diet. Knowing exactly how much you need to maintain and cutting ~250 cals per day off that mark.

The easier and more efficient route is to just cut properly and forget this “recomp” shit. You can maintain all your current muscle on 150 mg/wk and lose substantial body fat quickly even without doing everything perfect. Cut for 6-8 weeks. Drop 10-12lbs of body fat. And then go back in to your bulk.

Doesn’t matter. If in a surplus, and doing resistance training, your body will put on muscle and fat. Tren might just make that ratio more favorable to muscle. That’s the whole point of AAS. More favorable nutrient partitioning. You put on more muscle than fat (especially compared to a natty), but you still put on both.

I guess except for the scenario where you eat exactly to the calorie all your body needs to just build the muscle you damage while training. But even in that theoretical scenario, you get 100% lean gains but still not lose fat while gaining that muscle tissue.

Being exceptionally fat is the only scenario you can build muscle while losing fat. Drugs don’t have anything to do with that. You just have so much extra energy stores that while in a deficit your body can get the energy it needs from your fat stores, combined with dietary protein, to rebuild the muscle damaged from training

Recomps are possible for new lifters or those who are just running gear for the first time. When I got on TRT (200mg/wk), I put on serious muscle and lost like 40 pounds. I ate in a serious deficit for like 6 months for that recomp.

I do see what smurf is saying. I do think it is better because most 25 year old do not have their diet and training down. It is better to wait as long as possible. I’ll leave you with this- at 25 do you think ANY doctor is going to instantly prescribe exogenous Testosterone that will leave him shutdown, infertile, and never back to natural production again?
