Wraps and belts in favor of raw lifting, callouses never get to the point where they tear or bleed or feel like they don’t need to be there.
Years ago when I would use deadlifting straps on say 70% of my max lifts for reps ., then to go without straps hurt the hands like a beotch, around this time I went in full favor of Supra grip to push past obstacles and work my way up, I can’t find a bar at the gym that hurts my hands;

Over time, I found that adjusting my grip and the way the bar settles in my hand and fingers makes a big difference, and also doing direct hand training made a big difference as well. I've torn about 3 calluses total. Hasn't happened since adding direct hand training.
The way the can settle into the bar or just grip the skin fold is probably creating an unbalanced approach
