+ 1 Flu season

ad

A week and a bit into my first cycle and I've been struck down with a virus. Super dissapointing, I want to be in the gym making gains. I've learned my lesson, last winter I tried to keep lifting and working while under the weather and ended up sick for a month straight and losing a bunch of weight. Ever since covid I seem to be going down with something every 2 weeks - a month during the cold season.
Beyond sleep, eating good, the normal vitamin supplementation, is there anything out there to help? I'm turning into a germaphobe, the constant viruses are stealing my time, health and gains.

Funky as it sounds it has been cited that overwashing hands and the bacterial soaps set us up for sickness. Plus the soaps with phytoestrogenic actions arent good for humans

Always have some amoxicillin and penicillin on hand. That stuff comes in handy on so many occasions and it’s a total lifesaver.
Also, try not to touch your face out in public places, it’s a problem I have and it’s how I get sick often. Fixing facial hair, eye rubbing, pickingcough touching my nose. That’s the fastest way to get germs into your body.
You could also carry a tube of hand sanitizing alcohol in your purse to use when out and about. Super convenient.

Unless it’s an infection the body struggles against naturally never implement antibiotics, all they do is compromise your natural immunity when overused. I know several people who can barely fight off the common cold because they always turn to antibiotics.

The face touching thing is so true, I've become very aware of it, and switched my gym water bottles to one's that I can open and close without getting my hand anywhere near the spot you sip from

Don’t listen to medical advice on Internet forums. Taking antibiotics for viruses won’t help and can do more harm than good especially if you get sick often.

I’m confused. You think having and/or using sanitizer is silly?

lol the combo of your above comment and this one. Oh to be blissfully ignorant. Though I’ll admit, it is definitely an easier way to go about living life. Sort of like the blinders they put on horses, so they don’t get spooked seeing things in their peripherals.

Y’all are really on here preaching not washing your hands after using the bathroom. This shit is ridiculous. All puns intended there lol

@SeeOhShow Now we know why the gyms are filthy and pass things around like pink eyes
( sick ) people

SeeOhShow's picture

Ok so by your “logic”, people in third world countries with no access to all these vaccines, soap, or sanitizer should have the strongest immune systems in the world and never get sick. Yet the rate of death from things like dysentery (caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites…aka “germs”) is the highest in these poorer countries. Well they shouldn’t be getting dysentery, because their highly efficient and robust immune systems from never washing their hands (like you say caused your robust immune system) would preclude them from be susceptible to these germs.

I think the term 'Never argue with an Idiot who is convinced they are right' comes to mind here LMAO Hilarious looking back over some of these old arguments. Thats right kids - if you wanna never get ill then NEVER wash your hands.

SeeOhShow's picture

Oh I remember the days when I was still a child and thought I knew everything. Thankfully I grew up, and I hope the same for you too. Though that was much earlier than 23 for me. We all start somewhere though.

Lol not sure why y'all are even going back and forth on this issue. Not debatable

Good Spot Brother!

23 Years Old and too young to have an account on eroids.

Because you are under 25 and not physically or mentally fully developed. @Jockstrap started smoking when he was 15 that didn't make it right, seemed ok at the time. but it stunted his growth and now at 40 he's a 3-foot four-and-a-half-inch tall gimp. (he gets upset if you don't mention his half inch)

Eroids gets scrutinized enough as it is. We don't need to add child abuse to the list.

Anyway, that's my logical point of few from the other end of the age spectrum.

Yeah I knew we went way back.. yessir!

Ya Dumb Idiot LMAO - You do realise just how many guys you are offending saying that comment don't you!!

I think its worse that at 23 years old you are clearly a depressed and lonely kid in his bedroom looking to hang with a load of 40 year old guys - you need to get some friends your own age. Starting age is 25 years old on here, to cut down on exactly the kind of people like you. Steroids at 18, you are clearly a bright one aren't ya.

press1's picture

What's your mothers hourly rate?

Drexyl's picture

It’s not an hourly rate, it’s typically $20 and two cigarettes for a blowjob in the car. If it’s chilly out and you turn up the heat a click she’ll put forth a little more effort.

press1's picture

It will be interesting to see if by the time you are the Legal age to be on here being 25 yrs, whether or not you will still be alive considering you are only 23 and running 600 Tren and Superdrol currently.

Oh the blissful ignorance shines again.

ChBE degree from a top 10 ranked university in the country. Dick measuring is irrelevant to the topic. Saying your body should be exposed to anything and everything to build an immune response is objectively false. You should know better if you indeed are going through medical school.

No but if I see some snotty faced 5 year old smear his hand across his face then grab the handle to something, you bet your ass I’m going to sanitize my hands after touching the same handle. Or wash my hands before I touch anything on my person. Wash/sanitize same difference it’s whichever one is closer or more convenient at the time.

There are obvious circumstances where you know something is contaminated.

Jockstrap? Huh???

Yeah man I've seen alot. I appreciate the good ones. Keep doing your thing my man @AK80

One of the easiest things to do when you are out is buy a sandwich or bag of chips (crisps lmao) and then eat it - forgetting about all the lift buttons, door handles, bus/train railings you have just touched.

Chicken broth in large volumes is my go-to when I get sick.

I don't get sick often but when I do it seems like it's the end of the world. I do plan on getting the flu shot. Worst thing ever is to have a virus while you're on cycle so I feel for you man. Load up on zinc and vitamin c and get plenty of sleep and water.
