Arnold and Louis looked the best because they were tall unlike 99% of the body builders to day

ad

Midget bodybuilders are the funniest thing they'll never truly be big because they have the same height as a twelve-year-old let's just say they're wide like a refrigerator even the Olympia no more Arnold

It's turned into a giant dwarf muscle building arena LOL you can yell at me all you want but it's not going to add 1 inch To your freaky midget frame

This posts funny! 6ft tall vs 5-4 light heavyweight. Equally prepped. The 6ft tall dude wont even make callout.

It’s a whole different ballgame today. They’re mass monsters. Samson Dauda is 5’11” and he still looks huge like the shorter guys. This post sounds like a tall lanky guy is jealous he can’t put mass on.

Ya Dorian “changed the game” as a mass monster and was the biggest thing they’d seen thus far and he was only like 260 on stage I think, basically every open guy on the Olympia stage is bigger than that now. I think nick walker is like 285 on stage maybe even more this year idk and before Dorian, Lee Haney was the big guy and he was like 240, so 280 and 240 are massively different sizes at that level so it’s a whole different game today.

Ya def top five for me, actually top three, maybe number two lmao depending on the day I might shuffle them around but he’ll always be top five at least. Just his work ethic and determination and the way he’s hide away in the dungeon and then pop out and reveal what else’s been working on is my kind of guy. The work ethic to lift that kind of weight and trian that way, and the mental fortitude, I respect and then on top of all that, he suffered when he dieted, some guys don’t and some guys don’t have too, but hed diet so hard and be so peeled at that size he said it hurt to walk barefoot cus he was walking on bones, that’s fucking strength and determination man.

Yeah Dude, total badass. Completely opposite of what the competitors today do posting every single workout and physique update on social media.

Arnie looked Great during that era because he had a great chest, biceps and shoulders, but not much else - also barely anyone else did bodybuilding in those days in the general population so it looked even more freaky and insane back then. Louis physique wasn't particular great in terms of bodybuilding qualities, he was just a massive guy in a hit film.

Already banned, so this is sorta useless to respond to…but this adds no value to anything. Sometimes it’s best to just sit silent in the corner.

I think they would man. Tell you what ..when Lou competed with Arnold he wasn't close to his physical prime yet at 275. Ok fast forward to when Lou came out of retirement in mid 40's. He looked way different. ALOT bigger and well over 300 pounds. Even though he didn't win I thought he should of placed higher. Point is I think both Lou and Arnold would of been competitive with guys today IF the same things were available to them that are available to pros today, that includes updated training, equipment, diet and other things just to name a few. There is NO PRO BODYBUILDER today that has Arnold's chest which is not even debatable according to Ronnie either. I think Arnold would of held his ground

Truer words have never been spoken

Not as they were no, but I think they would do all the things the guys are doing today. Like Arnold wouldn’t step on a pro stage today with those legs, he’d know they weren’t good enough by looking around, and he’d start to do what everyone else is doing and bring them up.So I still think they could hang today, just cause they had the genetics and work ethic, then just add in todays knowledge, drugs and coaching and equipment and everything and I think they’d do ok, probably at least have pro cards

NO FUCKIN WAY MATE - WALK ON HOME BOY!!!! ......

I was obsessed with Pantera back in my teenage years during the Broken/Southern Trendkill time. My favourite albums by far were Cowboys and Walk but ohhh man that fuckin band were so far beyond their time in the metal world it was unbelievable. They created the sound for so many bands to come in my eyes, particularly Darrell. I was heartbroken about what happened to him, absolute waste of pure unique talent gone in a second. One of the best guitarists ever.

I mean 5FDP are pretty much just a newer version of Pantera!!!

Sackbird's picture

I was the youngest of three so my siblings got me into them when I was like 8 years old lol. I’ve seen them live twice since they’ve been touring again. Obviously not the real Pantera but I never got the chance to see them live when they were together. I cried the day I saw MTV News announce Dime had died the night before. He was my idol and the reason I picked a guitar up. I still listen to them at least weekly. My favorite albums kind of change from time to time but The Great Southern Trendkill has been my favorite for quite some time now. And the lesser known songs at the end of the live album - Where You Come From and I Can’t Hide are phenomenal. I Can’t Hide is probably my favorite song right now. I could talk about them for hours lol. As far as FFDP being the new Pantera, I will have to respectfully disagree, although they do have some solid songs. Their lyrics seem kind of lazy to me and obviously no one can match Dime’s skill. I think I have a hard time putting anyone in the same category as Pantera. Lamb of God is up there for sure in my opinion though.

Yeh all I was really meaning is 5FDP is effectively groove metal or at least the earlier good stuff and very much that kind of sound, the later albums have become atrocious and pure sell out imo Lol First 3 albums were great though. A lot of their later stuff has become predictable to appeal to the wider markets, but hey it happens to most of em lol. During that era I went to quite a few Metallica and Megadeth concerts, Youthanasia and Reloaded Tours - haven't gone for years to anything now though. There is a cool looking Trivium and Bullet tour coming up in the UK though which looks great.
