+ 4 How Many Protein Shakes Do you have per day?

ad

Since the amount of protein we can digest in one sitting debate has reared its head again, I thought it would be interesting to see how many shakes everyone has on a typical day. This is assuming 40 grams per shake, so if you consume 80 grams of shakes over the day then vote for 2, or if you do not use them and prefer food only then click Zero.

Not had protein shake for ages. I absorb enough protein from calories & the extra weight gain from shakes just made me feel bloated

Bigj1495's picture

2 whey iso and one muscle milk pro loaded with egg whites and PB after the weights

Shit. Sounds like a great deal to me More mom & pop places should learn this practice. Just the advertising alone is worth it

press1's picture

Its actually a good idea isn't it!! Lol

UncleYoked's picture

none. I drink blended cottage cheese with a scoop of PB and some oats, with some water to lower the viscosity.

SeeOhShow's picture

I make ice cream with my ninja creami using cottage cheese, Fairlife, swerve, vanilla, and guar gum. Cottage cheese is quite versatile once blended.

Lol back in the days when I didn't get terrible skin problems from dairy I'd mix 500 grams of cottage cheese with water till it was drinkable and just downed it like that. Easy and cheap 40-50 grams of protein.

capncrunch420's picture

bruh... whey is cheap lol

Whey doesn't do well with me, nor does most dairy but for some reason, cottage cheese gives me no bloating, no sluggish feeling

2 at work for the most part I try not to do more then that protein powder wise or I am farting up a storm.

wanted's picture

Get better protein. Maybe pne with digestive enzymes in it

eighty7's picture

Most if them fuck my stomach up except for the bone broth protein powders. Also I don't get tired of the way they taste like other ones. Those also usually don't have fake artificial sweeteners.

wanted's picture

I may be interested in try it. If inadd salt & pepper will it taste like soup

eighty7's picture

Nah they have regular flavors like Chocolate and Vanilla

They have ones that are water ones. Called clear protien. Try it. It’s like Gatorade. Matter of fact Gatorade makes one

SeeOhShow's picture

Oh ok Mr. Moneybags over here getting the $2/serving protein powders. I’m assuming you store them in your Lamborghini?

I’m not hating….just jealous.

SimonM84's picture

That’s why I just stick to Farm eggs

eighty7's picture

That's just an example, other companies make them for less. But if you're not absorbing the protein and you are just shitting it out then it's not worth saving money

SimonM84's picture

I have to remember to save this.

thahulk2014's picture

I aim for whole food but do a whey isolate post workout

I've always meant to try that BSN stuff in the nice red tub - never got round to it though lol They were the first company to ever produce an NO2 product that I saw!! Takes you back some ....

Jrihard89's picture

Currently my diet has 2.

I have one at breakfast, along with cream of rice and egg whites. Only 24g whey with cream of rice than 8oz egg whites.

Then one post workout 2 scoops for 48g protein, 5g glutamine.

Other 4 meals are whole food.. I hear too many say 0 the real food thing which I get. But I know personally quite a few pros who use whey heavily on travel, and even not traveling they do 1-2 a day.

Hell ronnie used one post workout, I asked people about his famous 3-4 scoops of BSN and strawberry Nesquick. It was real. When he was off season he’d do it but also had a forbidden drug

I am guessing that was around 100g of Protein shake he was taking in per time?

Most I have done on a few occasions was 75g but then I couldn't eat afterwards for about 2 hours at least Lol
