+ 2 Can steriods lead to development of cataracts or other eye problems?
About a month ago, I starting noticing a really apparent blur of vision in my right eye. I figured it would go away on it's own so I didn't bother with it (stupid right?). However my right eye vision has continued to get worse and I finally got my eyes checked. It turns out I have cataracts in both my eyes and will need cataract surgery. Fairly rapid onset too. Not the very slow degradation you get as you age. I am 32 years and have been using gear on and off for 7-8 years. I have never used dnp, corticosteroids or any other medication that might cause this and have had no trauma to the eye. There is seemingly no explanation so i did my research on anabolic steroids possibly having an effect like this and I found absolutely nothing.
My question is.....has anyone ever experienced or knows someone who has experienced eye problems, specifically cataracts from the use of anabolic steroids?

Yes, that's possible, as introducing hormonal drugs from the outside can disrupt your natural hormonal balance and potentially lower your own steroid hormone levels. But, bro, I don't really want to overthink it. Millions of guys use it, and nothing happens.
Thanks for the responses guys. Never taken s4 either or anything else backed by research or studies that could be an explanation. I'm leaning towards writing off AAS as a possible cause. Hope to figure this all out
Only thing experienced was the yellow vision produced by S4 (Sarm).
I was unaware these problems with AAS.
Never heard of that as a side effect of AAS. I do get a strange twitch in my left eye while using tren when I see a pretty girl walk by though.
anvilThere are few SARMs that list vision problems as a side effect, S4 mainly. There is also steroid-induced glaucoma and cataracts but that is more of the corticosteroids. Not common but there are documented cases.
High blood pressure could lead to bad eyes.
I've heard that as well. However i check my blood pressure almost everyday and i've never seen anything higher than 142/88. Its usually in the 120s or 130s while on cycle
Vision is no joke brother. Hope you find the reason
Do you use insulin or have you? Metformin or anything that messes with glucose or insulin?
nope nothing at all like that
Visual issues on cycle if bp or holding too much water. But never heard of cataracts outside of cortico steroids.
I have not specifically heard of them doing so - but it wouldn't surprise me if they did affect the eyes in some way or another. Gotta think its ultimately UGL oil thats running through every single vein in your body including your eyes. I get this weird thing where if I have itchy eyes from hayfever and I rub them, the tears that my eye's produce actually burn my eyes and sting them really badly. I swear its to do with having steroid oils in my bloodstream as this never happened in the years before them!
