Starting TRT

ad

So just got prescribed 200 mg test c from a clinic. Does anybody cycle on and off some thing like this. I've never taken anything before and the thought of being on long term doesn't sound fun. Would it make sense to go on for 3 months then come off. If so how bad does it really feel coming off and for how long. I'm running a business and have kids so really can't afford to be down for too long.

There is no way any Dr prescribed, and gave you a vial of test and left you clueless on what to do with it.
What were your total testosterone, and free test numbers at? Please show us a pic of your labs.
This should be everyone's first question for you.

Your balls are not toys that you play with on a cycle and expect to just come off test, and go back to your normal life like nothing happened. There is a protocol or (post cycle therapy) you need to follow to recover. That is unless your body is currently running low levels of testosterone now, and you want to just go back to feeling like a dying pig at the slaughter house.

When you run test your hemoglobin or (rbc) will raise thickening your blood, and if you aren't doing therapeutic phlebotomy to thin it out. meaning giving blood every 2 to 3 months.. You are gonna wind up having a stroke or a heart attack eventually or just running around with heart palpitations and anxiety, and feeling like your heart is going 200mph when you are laying in bed at night or randomly in the middle of the day.
Everyone glorifies TRT at first until they have issues. You can go a good year before you have any really bad noticeable side effects sometimes, but you'll end up with blood so thick it will be like gravy. I've lost a lot of friends over the years who didn't cycle correctly, or just stayed on gear too long, or didn't get routine blood work.

Give the test back to your buddy at the gym, and stay natural and be happy that your body naturally produces testosterone.
a few hundred mg of test a week isn't going to give you any huge advantages in the gym if you are all ready a healthy person with normal levels. No one thinks about the repercussions when they decide to start trt, and I see so many people self diagnosing, and don't have any clue what hemoglobin is let alone therapeutic phlebotomy.
to answer your question. No one cycles "testosterone replacement therapy" You are either on for life, or off. LONGER you are on the harder it is to recover that is if you ever fully recover, and you wont unless you have the proper post cycle therapy on hand.
unless you have nothing to lose, and dont care about your dick ever getting hard again without cialis or viagra,. jump right into cycling test without a backup plan, or idea bud.
Best of luck to you.

Test levels came in at 269. Been feeling like shit. Low libido. Check the box on lots of symptoms. Dr. Ordered me 200mg split twice a week. I've been pinning 60 twice a week for a total of 120 after researching 200 is quite high to start. I'd rather start slow and work my way up. I understand the hassle of pinning from here on out but if it gets me out of this funk it's worth it to me. My main concern is supply chain issues or worse and having to stop abruptly. Iive seen mix reviews of returning to ore trt levels and others saying you never recover. I'd like to know how it feels if you stopped abruptly. My clinic does sell enclomiphene I plan on stocking up on. Im not planning on using it to get completely jacked in the gym I lift 4 days of week for years so it's welcome but it's more about creating a better life for my family as well as my self. Also this is from a dr not a buddy at the gym
Thanks for the reply

I do 100mg a week that puts me at 850 total T for 5 years in a row. Give it take. That's my feel good spot. That's 24 tics on an insulin syringe every other day, and donating every 2 5 to 3 months to keep hemoglobin down. I maintain at around 15 now and feel great
290mt a week is crazy I dint care what these guys say here that blast and cruise at 250 a week.
DO your research and learn that more isn't better. Hope this helps. It will also help keep aggressive tendencies down at 100mg a week. I have buddies that stay at 600 a week and feel fantastic and are very successful in life. More isn't better unless all you care about is gains at the gym. Which 200mg a week isn't going to do much more then 100mg a week. I've been on TRT 10 years and I'm not jacked my muscles are full yes but it took years of TRT and training to get where I'm at.

See your doctor get your bloods checked.
If your test levels are within normal range, learn about running a cycle and PCT.
If your test levels are below normal talk to your doctor about TRT. You can cycle while on TRT, but TRT itself is for life.

You're approximately 37 years old. putting yourself needlessly on TRT now means you'll be a slave to the needle for nearly twice as long as you've been alive. I'm in my 60's. TRT is a literal pain in the ass, and I've got potentially another 37 years of putting up with that.

If the thought of injecting 1ml of Testosterone every 7 to 10 days in return for feeling a lot happier and better about life, having more muscle mass and possibly less body fat is too time consuming and difficult to keep up with - then definitely don't start it to begin with.

Not what I'm asking. I'll be splitting it into 2 shots a week. My question is if there is any benefit to cycling it rather than committing too it long term. I was wanting feed back on how bad getting off it feels. I'm definitely interested in pursuing more products if it's awesome.

Then i apologize, your post came off as "the clinic wants me do this thing that sucks and i dont want to do it". Depends on your goals which one you choose. If your doing it for strength and gains maybe cycle, if you're doing it for well being then i guess TRT.

The idea of Testosterone Replacement Therapy is exactly that - to replace your low naturalTest levels with a synthetic version that is roughly the same level as you were at in your early adult years. You do not cycle TRT but stay on it in theory for the rest of your life, once you are on it you stay on it. Cycling Steroids is totally different and requires you to run Test at a higher level often with other compounds.

I get that. I guess what I'm trying to decide is whether to run cycles or commit long term. However this is a first for me so was looking for feed back. Appreciate it.

You run cycles you’re going to always be trying to restart your normal production, and all that goes along with that. I have ran 120 to 160 mg/wk (usually break it up into twice a week injections) for 11 years now. I’m 69. It takes me all of 2 minutes to get out a 29 g insulin pin, draw up what I need and stick it in one of several different locations I rotate through. For this I get to feel like a 30 yr old, go to gym regularly, have sex regularly (and since wife started her own HRT last year at age 62 it’s been crazy), gain some muscle, go all day without a nap, sleep 7 hours soundly, and on and on. If you’re low T, trt will give you your life back. If you’re not low T and you just want to play around every 3 months good luck with the hassle

Yes natural test is low despite spending the last year really focusing on diet and consistency in the gym. I am having alot of the side effects of low test. So I'm definitely leaning more towards hopping on. The life long commitment kind of freaks me out. Especially in these times. As well with the news about laws changing around it. I'm just trying to get a feel for it. Online research is all over the place. I understand 200 mg a week is not alot so based on the consensus it doesn't make alot of since to cycle off of it.

Give it back, you wasnt ready for injectables.
