How often do you donate blood on trt?

Power red donation 2 times a year. You can only donate every 112 days using this method but i've found it best for me. On TRT but will donate before and after blast in spring/summer. Up the test to 600mg for 3 months then back to 150-200mg remaining 9 months.

Power red allows you to donate 2 units of red cells in one sitting. Machine pulls a unit of blood, seperates reds, and returns the rest with added saline.2 cycles of this then you're done. About 45 mins in total maybe less. Positives are you're not actually losing any blood volume like a normal whole blood donation. If your H&H are elevated this will surely put them in check. You can expect a 4-6 point drop in your hematocrit values from the double red donation.

Red cross will check your hemoglobin before starting to see if you're a candidate. Easy way to figure out your hematocrit is multiple the numerical value of your hemoglobin result by 3 and that will give you an idea where you're at. Since TRT my hematocrit stays between 49-51 if i donate at least once a year. As you age and especially on TRT you really wanna stay on top of this. Living at elevation or endurance athletes can get away will elevated H&H but for most folks its not safe to run high H&H for long periods of time.

Power red will allow you to help others and yourself while feeling great afterwards. Let your bloodwork determine when and how often you need to donate. Hematocrit under 46-50 its up to you. Above that i'd recommend at least 1-2 a year to be safe. Always check with your PCP if there are any concerns.

When I donated 3 times in one year, my doc cautioned me not to donate too often because it can drop iron levels too low in some people. She said 3-4 times a year max.

But I generally only donate when I hear there is a shortage or the mobile donation bus is in my area. Probably works out to only once a year on average. It hasn't affected my hematocrit levels noticeably in the long run.

Blood bank used to be my go to till their Florida scandale graced the news. It’s just absurd how they make believe they are helping that sick kid or that bleeding passenger to sell it back to hospital at 300 a pint. Donating at times becomes necessary while on TRT or cycle, but the only person I m helping at that point is me, I can’t take credit for a selfish act.

Let's say ur a healthy individual that's just wants to donate to help out. Well those time frames depend on what ur donating. U can do an easy Google search to know all those time frames...

Now if this is AAs related... Then prior to cycle u need to do base bloods and if u notice ur hematocrit is mid to high u might want to lower it prior to cycle. Then after pct u can reevaluate ur bloods. This way ur not lying about synthetic compounds in ur blood that u are donating for someone else to be using. Im sure there's nothing wrong with having extra testosterone in ur blood, but if any complications happen, im sure it can be traced back to u. I guess it's more of a moral thing?? Now if ur on trt, I guess u wldnt be lying about the "have u injected any drugs recently " question...

Thats what's up bro.. There might have been an old patient that wake up with a hard on from using ur blood.. lol.. no homo.. Those people are always calling me, so I give blood atleast twice a year. It's makes me feel good when I find out people have gotten my blood. I read somewhere that even high levels of testosterone would not affect the recipient, but some of us are on some harsh stuff.. I dont go harsh except for some Nors and bombs and ???.. :::insert evil laugh:::

If on TRT use your bloods to determine Hematocrit level. Donate based on that.
