Has anyone noticed Pituitary symptoms from long term GH use? (Symptoms listed in thread)

ad

Hi everyone,

I'll get right to the point:

I've ran 30-40 kits in the past 5 years all from sources on this site (top 3 for those wondering).

AND, I think I messed up my pituitary gland! I'm not blaming the sources, it could have been something I did wrong, my genes or bad batch anything is possible.

Does anyone have any advice for seeking medical help or what blood tests I can order to help diagnose if this is all in my head or a reality?

This article was startling because it was so on the nose at describing the issues I've been facing. If you guys have any advice please share. I am desperate.

Go to an endocrinologist. They will do stimulating releasing-hormone tests to tell whether either your pituitary or the hypothalamus don´t secrete as they should.

But in general, given you are using PHARMA GH that should "rejuvenate" both your pituitary and your hypothalamus somewhat. Professional athletes have been (ab)using these for decades without any problems -at least as to endocrine deterioration.

If you have been using UGL GH, esp. switching back and forth between brands, that could be a whole other issue. You could have built up antibodies from impure/improperly folded GH which in the end would crossreact with your endogenous GH (happens to many clinical patients who switch brands of insulin.

Thanks EagertoLearn. I've been using UGL and think that may have jacked up my HPTA. (Well, in hindsight lots of things I've done over the past 10 years could have messed it up, but i digress. Appreciate the input, looking for endo's in the area now

Thanks Molinin - I agree, I should see a Dr. just trying to see how much work I can narrow down what is going on before I see one in order to keep costs down. I'm on a high deductible plan.

Bloods. Go get an entire panel done.go from there.

Thanks Jrod. Going to do a lot more research about this to try and determine what bloods to order and how to do it in the most cost effective way. So far I found this ACTH Test
Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) - (QUEST DIAGNOSTICS)

Turns out that ACTH is when you have a tumor, test is useless.
