+ 2 Who makes their own stimulant free preworkout?

ad

What ingredients and dosages do people put in their own stim free preworkout?

My schedule has changed and I’m finding myself training later and later in the evenings and I’m looking for an extra little kick on the big lift days. Caffeine is a no go as I can’t drink it past 10am otherwise it keeps me away awake night and it can also give me anxiety. 75% of the stim free pre’s are full of sugar and other crap, the other 25% are above £1.50 per serving which isn’t breaking the bank but I’m sure I can achieve the same effect making my own for a fraction of the cost.

So far I was thinking of adding:

Beta-alanine
citrulline
arginine
Taurine

Blended in beetroot juice.

I already get pumped up listen to music, eating the right diet, watching lifting videos and planning my next blast.

Also try 5000 mg of l-arginine before a workout. You can throw it into your cocktail. It always make my veins pop and I get a little bit of a boost.

It’s super cheap and makes me have great dreams at night.

+1 for starting an interesting conversation.

I’ll try the Apple cider vinegar, it’s a supplement I run occasionally if I remember to pick it up.

Arginine looks great and was on the list, I’ll try it as 5000 mg and see how I get along. Cheers

That is all I take preworkout. On leg day, my hamstring pump is debilitating.

When my wife was pregnant and could not take a pre workout, many YouTube videos/ friends told her to take some apple cider vinegar before a workout to get some clean energy. Honestly it does not do much for me, but I could put an IV of C4 into my blood and still need a cup of coffee.

I’m one of those guys who can drink coffee before bed and crash.. so I’m not much help on the stim free stuff.

Try it out and let me know.

Damn right bro.

I’m ordering a few things tomorrow night to give them a whirl.

Palatinose 30gr 1H preworkout
Glycersize 3Gr (previously named glycerpump) 30 mins pre
Vaso 6 300mg-600mg 30 mins pre
1 Gr salt 30 mins pre
L citruline 30 mins pre 8gr

Best pumps ever (better than cialis or viagra, vaso 6 makes wonders).

Btw if you want a stim like sensation without stims try to use lions mane.

Palatinose at a quick glance looks very interesting, it doesn’t spike blood sugar levels as much as the alternatives which could lead to a good night sleep.

I agree with salt, I take 1 serving of electrolytes:

Sodium (Na) 260mg
Potassium (K) 77mg
Calcium (Ca) 47mg
Magnesium (Mg) 7.5mg

Workouts improve 100% and during a hot summer I’ll also take another serving with my 2nd meal of the day.

Palatinose its great (and one of the cheapest sups out there, 7€ one month and a half supply) as you said it doesnt spike blood sugar levels and its constant steady energy.
Agree 100% with the electrolytes, where i live summer are very hot so for me is a must.

I gave ‘applied nutrition carb x’ a go, loved the pump but as I mentioned below it effects my sleep. Stuff is pretty cheap compared to beetroot juice or similar alternatives.

I know the guy who owns applied nutrition, it’s all quality stuff.
His production facility is top notch!

I like the whole line mate. They have a stim free pre called the Pump, I was planning on buying that as it comes in blue raz. 70p a serving and all ingredients were quality.

Coffee
BCAA's
Creatine
Glutamine

GrowMore's picture

Caffeine is hands down one of the best preworkout.

stairmaster's picture

5g Glutamine
5g BCAA
5g B-Alanine
6g Citrulline
2caps Kre Alkalyn

GrowMore's picture

The jury is still out on glutamine. I didn’t think the added stress creatine gives to the body was worth it to be honest, how are you finding it?

Livelife76's picture

Kre alkalyn is the truth, hold very little water!

Lucozade mixed with Dextrose & a Vitamin D3 tablet. It gives you tonnes of energy without feeling edgy and the D3 sharpens your CNS together for the lifts.

I have a intraworkout which is Cyclic Dextrin Carbohydrates which is similar to dextrose but I’ve found even banging that down a few hours before bed can effect my sleep. I already take D3 with k2 post work so I’ll give it a go pre.

I drink a glass of tea every morning.
I don’t want to get dependent on them.

If I can take steroids sensibility I’m sure I won’t start clucking for a preworkout. They have their usages, late night leg day for instance. I’ve used them on/off over the years and not had a problem when I’m not using them.
