How safe is injecting over your tattoo , any chance for infection ?
AnonI'm covered in tats, never even thought about it. I just got bloods pulled yesterday and the phlebotomist actually said it would scar and ruin them lol she was wrong..maybe on some people, but my shoulders, glutes and quads all seem fine? Shouldn't you be more worried about sticking a needle in your ass with God knows what's actually in there anyways?
I keep Benadryl in my kit, and always shine a light through new vials just to check for weird obvious shit like floaters or weird colors, mold even maybe? I've seen pictures of vials with fking pubes or something in them...ya..think about that bud...
Lol your good bro. Stay safe.
Unless you just got the tattoo its absolutely no problem at all.
Guys if you all inject through tattoo that's fine, if I recommended to avoid it, that is also fine. Better to be safe than sorry. You asking me for facts, that would have to be a separate huge topic. In many countries such as Israel and Russia some anesthesiologists might refuse epidural to women who have tattooed back. There is not that much research done on this and in most cases it is safe but there is that little chance. It all depends on the ink used, how old your tattoo. When injecting through tattoo there could be risk in trapping tattoo pigment inside the needle or depositing the pigment into deeper tissues. If that won't happen than you might result in a small scar that could alter the appearance of the tattoo. So in anyway it is better to avoid this. That's all that I wanted to say to keep members safe. So no need to criticize others just because their thought and knowledge is different to yours. So please give my Karma back.
+1 dude
Your point could be valid based on age of tattoo and the artist who did it. I can see tattoos done by the tattoo party guy that's been drinking and smoking who doesnt check needle length or uses crappy ink.
My tattoos are over 25 years old so it doesn't seem to matter. I certainly would not inject over a fresh one or one even a year old. When validating a point, make sure you add more studies or even scientific data that backs it up too or you do get ripped apart. On a side note I did not get any karma from my posts to you.
That's more like it.
+3
Thank you. Once again apologies to everyone. See you all in another topic ;)
Here some information related to your question:

So all the sofa experts who live on this forum can shut up.
There's a way to debate and move a conversation forward without being a full blown ass.
As IrishMack has pointed out, your article has absolutely No parallel to making an IM injection below an older, established tattoo.
My apologies Greg, I respect the age. Didn't know you are older, had no intention to offend you. Thought I was talking to some kid.
You are all f.cking corrupt fucks, who think you can show sarcasm and think you all know something just because you sit here all day licking ass and passing good karma tk each other. Verbally attacking people who know something but have low karma. So f you Greg. I was just giving my answer to a question
Without needing any sarcasm or judgment from others. Don't be siting here thinking you know everything.
RustyhookerSo basically this is your second account?
One and only, I just didn't check the bio previously.
And there's a right way to sell your point without being a dick.
If your point was valid, you'd have actual links and arguments to support it v. that desperate attempt using that link you posted. All sarcasm aside, you have yet to prove your case and unlike your claim, DO NOT appear to know much about this. But, you instead hold a position that we should take you at your word and are lashing out in a very over blown way to such a minor issue.
I've given you deference to you being a long time member here but if you persist with your Tren induced dysphoria that will change.
-1 for being a dick and spreading wrong info.
In the words of T Swift, “You need to calm down, you're being too loud”
Reading comprehension is difficult? The entire article talks about GETTING a tattoo and GETTING a Vaccine, not injecting into a tattoo.
I Inject all over with tats
Always a chance.
basskiller89I do it all the time on my legs now, the black ink at times gives me depth perception issues lol
Should not be a problem. Look to inject where there is no ink wherever possible!
RustyhookerYour tattoo will grow. Double in size
TrenDaddyNo youre fine. Tattoos are intradermal, we are injecting subq and intramuscular.
I always waited 1 month after I pinned through a fresh one, I never did anything different when I pinned through old tatts. But don't forget to work very smooth and sterile and don't use too thick needles. Gregs recommend size is perfect.
I would think it's safe to use a 1" needle or better to inject under your tattoo.
Maybe he mixed up injecting with creaming? Then he would be right when he says "over"
You said creaming, now all I can think of is his tattoo is on his ass... thanks for that.
Lmfao....
Don't do it. In the worst case you risk an amputation...
Just kidding, it's no problem
No issues as stated below been doing it for years.
Unless your whole body is covered with tattoos, otherwise it is not recommended. It can alter with your local immune system creating immunocompromised district where injection occurred. If injections done on regular bases that area is prone to developing opportunistic infections. So my answer is to avoid areas covered in tattoos.
Shit, I better tell my doctor that when he gives me shots. I wonder why he doesnt care about my well being? That bitch at the Walgreens shoved my flu shot right smack in the middle of it too! Am I gonna be ok?
Too much sarcasm. I wrote if injection occurred on a regular basis. Never heard that flu shot is done every day, so yes you gonna be ok unless she injects every day to the same area.
RustyhookerRight?! Im covered in ink and pin right thru those pictographs. Im gonna die!!
No you’re fine
Naw I have been doing it for years never had a problem.
Nope
