+ 1 Deca and the brain?

ad

Anyone intelligent enough to understand the research done on deca and it’s affects on the brain in terms of anxiety, and addiction? I had someone recently tell me deca changes the chemistry in your brain and makes serotonin decrease and anxiety and depression increase and can also make people more susceptible to drug addiction? I only ever used NPP which I would think would have a similar affect but I loved it but after trying to research a little of the studies it got me a little concerned.

Sentence comprehension is definitely one of my arch nemesis. Wipe out everything I said minus the end part about the addiction please so I'm only half a jackass lol. Thanks.

Lol... well, I'm feeling a bit testy so I mind my words a bit more and don't hit post reply right away ;-)

Dave Crossland has a bunch of videos talking about nandrolone and the brain. He suspects there is a deleterious effect but that a little testosterone can be somewhat neuroprotective in that regard. This stuff is way over my head but check out some of his ramblings. Some of them are cited nicely with studies to back them up.

Keep in mind dopamine agonists (cabergolin) are commonly taken with 19-nor's such as nandrolone which increases dopamine level since prolactin and dopamine have an inverse relationship. Studies show that abnormal levels of dopamine are linked to mental illness such as schizophrenia.

Im not aware of any studies have looked for a relation between dopamine agonists and mental illness but this is something to keep in mind when deciding what hormones you want to play with, and what extent you want to alter them. Prolactin levels should be monitored throughout a 19-nor cycle and dosing any dopamine agonist should be based on lab results, not "how you feel," I dont care how well you think you know your body. If you aren't willing to spend the money and time on labs, you shouldn't be fucking with exogenous hormones in the first place, in my opinion.

All AAS affects the brain in different ways. And it varies from individual to individual based on your body chemistry and personality. Test makes some people aggressive; it makes me calmer. Then on the other hand makes mer very aggressive!

I would agree with that. Test calmed me down..

Well I know this Mr.Feathers any time I've used nandrolone it triggers an increase of depression feelings in my mind almost immediately, but that's just me .

Maybe you could post up some of those studies along with your claims.
