Current (2017) advice regarding t3/t4 with hgh?

ad

Some guys say take t3 some suggest t4 and yet others say neither is necessary when running hgh. A lot of threads are from years ago and this "hobby" (for lack of a better word) is constantly changing and evolving. I'm just wondering what the modern day word on the street is regarding the whole t3/t4/nada with hgh is nowadays. Thanks, amigos!

I know this thread is old but this should be talked about way more than it is cause I see it more and more guys just throwing in t3 or t4 with their hgh just some guys just say hey bro just throw in 50mcg ED and that will help lol. No stop doing that if you didnt get bloodwork then why would you add that just because you feel tired and some guy said add it Try checking you blood sugar first go to amazon get a blood glucose meter kit for 40$. I hear it all the time I feel tired so I need to add t4 and that isnt always the case. You feel tired cause could be from blood sugar. Low dose of hgh for short period of time lowers blood sugar and long term use with over 5iu of hgh raises blood sugar and I'm talking about pharma grade not generics. Low or high blood sugar and make you feel tired. The thyroid is nothing to play with trust me cause I was the idiot that listened and added t4 with my hgh and my thyroid was overactive and took months to get back to normal. We all know everybody reacts different but with 5iu of generics I dont need t4 and people that suggest that dont know what they are talking about and just jump on the ban wagon. If you dont have bloodwork then you dont know if you need it. People spend hundreds of dollars on cycles and hgh but wont spend $ on bloodwork which is backwards your bloodwork comes first before any compounds and should be talked about way more than it is. Experience is the best teacher and some guys need to go through it before they realize it. Rant over.

Its really very simple. T3 is the master metabolism hormone really. If you go hyper you will lose a lot of weight fast metabolism into overdrive and you wont gain muscle.
If you go hypo which you wont, the opposite happens.
Neither will happen.

Just because conversion improves doesnt mean you need a bigger supply. Also, given how important thyroid is for your overall health... (low T hasnt got sh1t on a thyroid problem)... its not a smart move to play with those hormones.

. (low T hasnt got sh1t on a thyroid problem)..

Probably the quote of the year!!!

ETA: sadly, you have to walk that road to realize the truth of that statement.

Agreed 110%.

On this side of the pond, in my city, as far as I can see... there is 1 doctor in general practice that understands the spectrum of thyroid problems. From what I see on thyroid forums in the UK (Im not in the UK, but Ireland, so the UK is usually a good barometer for such things for us Paddy's), the general practice issue is rampant. There are symptomatic people in living hell everywhere, that GP's either cannot or do not want to help. My issue is subclinical, but it is the folks with complete failure or thyroid cancer or autoimmune issues that I really feel for. When it's gone, its gone.

And even with the evidence from the board.... https://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/thyroid-medications?pa...

T3 and T4 are worthless

Don't fuck with your thyroid dude. For the miniscule bit it may do is not worth frying it. I deal with an almost non functining thyroid. Fortunately my Dr was smart enough to test for this so now I take pills every day so I can sleep at night, I'm not depressed or have high anxiety or another fine side effect that makes me a miserable prick. I dont think enough people realize how much the thyroid controls. It really is the master hormome. Not worth it. IMO.

I'm the same as you mate , on medication for my thyroid , 150mcg t4 daily , doctor says my thyroid is fine now though but i still have the side effects , gain fat easily , lethargy , depression , thin hair , anxiety etc
But working out has really improved my smyptoms.

Might be a t3 problem. Conversion issue or converting to reverse t3 instead, or something like that

Some people seem to do better with desicated thyroid which has a mix of t3 and t4... some people dont handle the synthetic t3/4 at all

IrishWOLFhound's picture

Yeah that might be it , ive read about desicated thyroid and might be worth a shot , thanks pal

And ive made an appointment to see an endocrinologist and the earliest appointment is March 2018 , my countries healthcare system is a joke

giardap's picture

Not to ask the obvious but are you in Ireland?

IrishWOLFhound's picture

How did you guess ? Haha Yes I am

giardap's picture

Haha good stuff. Me too, yeap its a bad joke here wrt healthcare, forget ever dealing with a GP doctor on this stuff!!

And this seties of articles:

If i was you, id go to a gp, (€60) order a full thyroid panel, tsh t3 t3 ft3 ft4 tbg rt3 and the antibodies stuff
Id digest it all and try find links/issues before meeting the endo
9 tomes out of ten in this country we need to point out what ahpuld be obvious to the doc, unfortunately

IrishWOLFhound's picture

I'll have a read of those links you posted and I'll see my GP this week about a full thyroid panel , because I live on the coast all my doctor does is talk about fishing and boats for the first half hour and then 5 mins about whatever problem or illness I have haha
I think I should switch to another GP ,
Thanks for the advice Smile

Get re checked. I get bloodwork done every 6 months and I inevitably have to increase my dosage. These days Im rocking 225mcg daily of Levothyroxin (t4).

No the sides are from the underactive thyroid , I thought the sides would go away after starting the medicine but they didnt , I tell my doctor about how I'm feeling and they say my levels are in normal range , lve read a lot online and a lot of people that have a underactive thyroid still feel the same even after supplementing with t4 plus I have hemochromatosis as well so that's no helping matters.

Jayzgainz's picture

Didnt see this comment before I responded above. Lol. How about seeing an endocrinologist? They may be able to help navigate things better? I had to switch from Synthroid to Levothyroxin. Same drug in theory but for one reason or another the Synthroid was not absorbing and my levels were not corrected.
My outlook on things is, there is always a reason for something to happen. Whether the car wont start or a medical issue. Somewhere something isn't working right. We just need to track it down. Good luck

In my experience the T3/4 argument is complete shit based on bro science as PPG has said. I’ve tested my thyroid levels and they’ve always been normal during my GH use.

Normal populations utilizing exogenous GH will not see an alteration in their thyroid levels. Exogenous GH use can expose underlying thyroid issues in some population groups with genetic abnormalities.

PPGfreak's picture

My opinion is to ONLY mess with your thyroid after you have blood work done and see that it's actually necessary. Lots of old timers think one or the other is needed because of bro science. If someone has an opinion that one or the other is needed then all they have to do is show me bloodwork proving that.

I have heard stories going both ways of someone needing one or the other.... but I definitely would never say that either one "is always needed" when running HGH.
