+ 5 Insulin resistance real cause of coronary disease

I've been reading a post at Rogue health and fitness that seems to make a lot of sense.

It puts forth the idea that age related insulin induced growth in the inner cardiac area causes an enlargement by layers, which get filled with plaque by layers.

It also relates how abdominal fat is directly related to insulin resistance and an increase in Colon cancer.

Now that I've posted an introduction to the main concepts involved, here are two short quotes which explain a bit further:

"As you age, you have an increasing susceptibility to chronic disease, and much of that is due to insulin resistance and increased insulin levels."

"Men with low fasting insulin, in the bottom tertile, were remarkably protected from heart disease, even when they had other risk factors. High fasting insulin was bad news, especially when other risk factors were added, such as high triglycerides and low HDL, both of these also measures of insulin sensitivity.

Why would insulin cause heart disease?
A key factor may be that it causes hyperplasia, the growth of tissue."

There is also some talk about hyperplasia of the prostate being insulin related,I think this is important to discuss as well.

My doctor diagnosed me prediabetic a few years ago at only 145 lbs. Never drank water only sweet tea, juice, and energy drinks/coffee.
He told me insulin is actually inflammatory. The insulin surge from carbs is what oxidizes LDL and that is what is linked to heart disease. LDL is not bad on its own - it just transports HDL. It’s when insulin interacts with it and alters the structure of the molecule that it can’t do it’s job and irritates the lining of blood vessels. Triglycerides are also not bad as is but again only when insulin levels are chronically high. These inflamed blood vessels are now grooved and the oxidized LDL and triglycerides stick causing buildup, raised blood pressure, and a host of other problems.
I had high blood pressure at about 155/130 and resting heart rate of up to 140 at the time too. By managing carbs better, cutting sugary drinks, and replacing them with more water I normalized over time. Insulin + cholesterol&triglycerides = death. Either insulin or the fatty acids need to be taken out of the equation to avoid premature death

LDL particle size is also a factor. There are big LDL's that just dont get caught. +2

Yeah there’s like two or three types I forget the names. Even the big ones will get caught with enough buildup, constriction, and calcification.

This has been known in medical circles for some time.Inslin sensitivitie and diabetes is certainly the culprit for a lot of problems.This is anecdotal but my father was type two,His four brothers were not,They our lived him by ten years on average,even though he was generally more fit,for the majority of their lives.It was heart disease and atherosclerosis that actually got him.

This is exactly why I have been concerned over getting fasted insulin levels tested with blood sugar, exactly this sorta thing. The bloods being collected and ranges Dr.s are living within are hurting people necessarily.
