+ 9 The importance of a review on a review site.
Eroids can mean several different things to you like a place to chill, a place laugh, a place to find a source & a place to help others with less knowledge than yourself, but first & foremost Eroids is a review site. Which means the heart of this site is a place where sources can sell products & members can find a trustworthy & reputable source, it seems once again that many members & even some sources have forgot that purpose. There’s more to it here than having a promo that causes activity on the SI page & there’s more to than a place to get in on promo’s. Many members here never visit the forum, & the only place they can be found is a SI page or a promo page. It’s very evident that some are here to only take advantage of the promos & they have contributed absolutely nothing to this site, which is ridiculous considering all you’ve taken without giving back. If we take the pleasure of enjoying a gracious promo from time, it is our absolute duty as a member to let the community know about the experience in a review. If we purchase our gear from a source, we are also bound by character to give a detailed honest review. What good is this site without honesty, character & duty? Whither the service or gear is good or bad, the community needs to know & the source deserves a review. We don’t review for a discount. We review out of duty to our community. If we feel indifferent about the sense of obligation, we should find a less reputable review site to chill on & take advantage of.
The rules & guidelines of a review are very clear. If at anytime you don’t understand or have a question, pm someone with experience here before posting a review. Each source has its own designated place for a review, & if you’re unsure where it is, again pm someone & we will gladly guide you. Reviews do not go in the open forums ever!!
The description of how to review is also very clear. If you’re not good with words, read some other reviews that are detailed & get a template of how it should look. Do not copy other peoples reviews.... Give your own!
This community had decided from here on out we will each spend more time reading new reviews & we will be more vigilant to give karma for a good review & we will take karma for a bad review. This is your warning & your opportunity to learn how to post a proper review if you’re unsure. Your source will be disappointed in a poor written review which in return earns some negative karma. Answer each question in detail. When it asks for the experience & sides & length of time taken. GIVE DETAIL!! Don’t say, “does what it should,” “felt right,” “I like it,” & ect..... The community deserves an honest well written review. After all, that’s what we’re all here for!!

Nice post! One thing I’ve seen in reviews is sometimes the reveiwer gets caught up in the moment. Meaning that maybe it was the first cycle or first cycle in a long time. So they are amped just to have something show up in the mail. Then they correct the diet and training and we get a placebo effect review. I really wish more reviews were backed by labs.
Also guys stacking way to many compounds with out running each compound independently before posting a review. IMO that makes it hard to review a new compound when adding it to a stack for the first time. It will never be perfect but it can always get better.

Awesome post bro.. Everything touched upon here is so very important to the community... one thing I've noticed while cruising this site is that allot of descent sources end up looking bad because the only people who take the time to review are the ones who had a bad experience or whatever.. the ones who are happy are happy and just don't take the time to do the reviews.. this is very important to the source and the community as a whole... I'm a firm believe in " the whole picture" and if the positive reviews aren't there and they should be well that's half the picture in my eyes..i also understand 2 things with the bad reviews..1 shit happens ( shipping issues, source mistake whatever) and2 you can't please everyone ( there are some people who are just never satisfied, and a lot who want free gear etc) .. the good reviews balance this out for the full picture.. also I look at the join dates on almost all the negative reviews and a good amount of the time the member joined the same day as the review.. so they are reviewing cuz they're pissed or whatever... in my experience you don't see that much for the positive ones.. those people are just happy with their gear and doing them. . most of the reviews are done by people who have an understanding of everything explained in this post..i always take time to leave a review if the source is on here just as a respect thing I guess.. for the source and community both.. again great post bro

That is a great idea and I have also been stepping up patrols in reviews. But by all means reward a good review that is detailed and actually speaks of results. That said I wouldn't necessarily neg the noobs into oblivion either. One or two dings is enough to send the message.

Im all for a source giving a discount or some incentive for a review, positive or negative but that is also the source of a good many shit/shill reviews. Posted wherever space can be found on this site. Said it before and will again. Maybe before a person can write a review they have to be a member for X amount of time or have X amount of karma. My .02 anyway.
Good post !! I've been reading a lot of reviews lately and giving karma for good ones and negging bad ones . I can't stand seeing shit like "Great gear " Legit gear" etc.
Dominick77Spot on bro. You hit the promo thing on the head too. I was just looking through today's gear pics and saw this one "promo whore". His last 4 pics he posted has been promos, and in the pic description he states he is currently using the promo products, started it a couple weeks ago, but here we are 2 months later and no review, but he has since then received more promo gear for other sources. Whats funny is if one of the sources he got promos for ends up running another promo again, then a review from him will magically appear for the last promo products he received, JUST SO he can participate in the current promo. Shit is transparent as glass and is quite sad.
You’re right on bro... too bad after whoring too many promos they couldn’t earn a PW tag for everyone including sources to see. Sources need to be more vigilant on their part also to keep track who promos & limit them. Some might get by for awhile, but Pale, Greg & BFG watch more closely than they realize & eventually will be called out.
Good to keep reinforcing this. For some reason though I think many of these people writing crappy reviews are shills or sleeper accounts with some of these sources the others never venture outside of the SI to read anything in the fourms.
Yes sir, I absolutely agree! I do believe that when they start seeing those negative statuses it might be a reminder to them. Many earn enough karma to participate in the promos & never visit the forums in fear of losing karma. If their review cost them karma & they’re not able to participate in promos, maybe they will do a better job. After all, most never take the advice of those with negative karma with too much trust. If we as a family keep persevering, we can make a difference. It will take unity for sure.
Best thing that happened here in a long time was when they stopped giving karma for gear pics. Post up a pic of some gear and before you know it enough karma to get into all the promos you ever wanted without contributing anything to the site.

Did you felt the need to correct him / her? So the thing is and i think that you simply don't like how others write something. How others express them selves. But are you to judge them ? I'm here to learn and grow and as far as i can see there are a lot of hate in here, a lot of pushing others down and making fun of them, just because they are new here and don't know what this place is. If person writes a review, he does it by his words, by his mind, and it may seem child like or incomplete in a way, but its his review. Here should not even be an option to rate a review.

I suggest you stop and read a bit first. Your inference as to what a review is or should be is misguided.
The rules and guidelines for making a review isn't something we just wrote down in a 5 minute brainstorming session. It is the result of eight years of evolution. it is to prevent and discourage fake reviews made by shills for the source. shallow and lazy reviews like "good to go" or, "It's fyah" and incomplete reviews which speak only to one of several important elements i.e., shipping, service, or product but not all three.
The intent is not so much as to neg every bad review as it is to reward good reviews which can take some effort.
Honest, complete reviews help others easily find a good source without having to cull through the chaff of bad and fake reviews.
Sometimes one man's truth is a deliberate act to deceive. Something I have a feeling you are well aware of.

This is a site ran by members it’s our responsibility to make sure things are on the up to keep ourselves and our brothers safe. When a member reaches 50 he has the option to upvote or down vote. When he reaches 400 he can flag posts and his votes count for two points. If he has a pro tag his up or down is worth 3. Moderators keep everything even and make sure it’s done fairly. There is no one off limits . I’ve seen members in the thousands banned. My advice would be to read the rules and see how things go. Many including myself have been down voted and flamed. It’s a fair system. Telling people they don’t have the right to down vote is not a good way to start...
