Lift heavy, eat heavy

ad

Hello my name is Carl, your friendly neighbourhood pal.
New here, wanted to share some thoughts to you good folk.
Not sure to post here or in supplement or other directory, but i will go with this, if anything accept my apologies.
So what's my problem and i think many of you have felt it,
With size comes appetite, it doesn't come after a day, or week , or maybe a month, but with time you are there.
You come home and see your wife has made you a little late 2nd dinner, and this is already a typical thing you see, big portions of food, rice , chicken, veggies, some desert and stuff.
You don't see it as a lot of food because you have been eating like that for some time already, months or years like me. And this portion is your default size.

Sooo

Then your parents, family fiends who you have not seen i a while comes to visit you, and then you sit by the same table. And what u see is your normal supper/dinner. haha, what they see is mountains of food, stressed wife because of all the cooking she is doing and their face be like little bit pale. You have no idea why they look at you like that. So the evening goes along and you friend ask you how much do you spend on food, and how is it possible to eat so much? Well that kinda hit me. For so long i was adding and adding and made a tradition of how i eat that i didn't noticed that that became little bit crazy for someone!

So what was on the table - Same thing i eat daily - Rice, chicken , veggies!
Me and my wife got so into our life's , in this routine of food. (she eats almost like me, heathy but not so much) that a small thing like visit from friends can turn out so awkward.

I didn't notice that before but now i do, i eat a lot lot more like 2 years ago or a year ago, and the way we consume it is incredible. taste is not there any more, its all about just getting the protein , carbs and vitamins down there.

So Lift heavy, eat heavy - ha, for someone like me it really means just that. For someone of you who just started its so much easier, i do not do cheat meals. my cheat meal is the same food with different sauce! Lame i know! i noticed that early this year. But for some gainers who does this more than me, longer than me, probably this is nothing new! and maybe they have found a way to satisfy themselves and others sometimes. or found a way of doing things differently.
Please share your knowledge , its always appreciated

.
Your friendly neighbourhood pal Carl!
Peace out

GYM SUPPS's picture

Hello Sir,

Welcome to eRoids community first of all and thank you for introducing yourself.

I do not see anything wrong with what you described above if you are the one that puts all hard work in not just in the gym but also bringing enough income to support all this and keep family happy, nothing to do with all the other family members.
Only issue I see is how bodybuilding industry in general effects some of the young fitness enthusiasts by putting this idea in to their heads to eat more (that is not always the case) and as a result we see so many heavily overweight athletes that are convinced that they are at so called "bulking" stage but in the reality just using this as an excuse to eat unnecessary foods - calories. Lack of knowledge and youtube videos of extremely genetically gifted, enhanced athletes brings us to these results.
Apart from that want to wish you good luck with what you do as you seem to be on the right track and lets all get big and lean!

Regards

last time I ate chicken/rice/veggies all day every day..,I lost 20 pounds in a month. That shit is boring. No thanks. I eat anything I want.

Same has started to happen to me since I really started counting macros. Alot of days I eat the exact same things because I know exactly how many calories, carbs, protein, and fat I'm intaking and it keeps shopping excursions to a minimum since I don't have alot of free time for that. I'm willing to sacrifice some flavor for convenience, life's just too busy not to. Food is a necessity just like breathing, so no need to look at it any other way for me. I have to confess I still do cheat meals once a week, but that's not so much for me as it is to take my wife out for a nice dinner.
